And your age just makes your cries for help about football knowledge more sad and pathetic. To call a rookie who has played in 3 preseason games a "huge disappointment" is moronic at best.
-
Your name is incredibly fitting. Someone needs to help you understand football. Huge disappointment and we haven't played a meaningful game. Seek help. Immediately

With the history of EJ no team would offer more than a 5th rounder. He hasn't proven to be more than that yet.
-
Teams wouldn't offer a 4th. We'd be lucky to get a 5th forTT and a 6-7 for EJ

No one is giving up a third for either of them. This whole premise is flawed.

Anyone know if now that they're part of the AT&T family that it's going to impact the offers they're giving and the discounts for Sunday ticket etc? Maybe that is part of the reason it's getting tougher for many people calling?

Robert Woods Serious Trade Bait--conjecture
MarkAF43 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the OP assumes Woods is unhappy about getting the ball, he's in his third season and we should trade him because his value is high? Pass. Newsflash, the GM's of teams that would want him won't pass on him because his numbers are down in a run first offense. They would recognize that and scout him for his route running, hands etc, not his numbers only. So your assumptions aren't well thought out. You don't trade him just because. -
is Ray Rice coming to Buffalo for a look-see?
MarkAF43 replied to HankBulloughMellencamp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're really reaching to try and refute my point. Sure it's a privilege. But a bank isn't going to pay you millions of dollars to maintain a living for your family. Your salary ceiling is much less in a bank compared to the NFL -

Someone working at a bank isn't the same scenario. The NFL has very specific skills and talents needed to play at their level. It is truly a privilege to play in the NFL because regardless of if you're player 53 or player 1 on a roster you're in a very small population segment. That segment is the team and the NFL and money they make relies in part( regardless of how big or small) on the fans purchasing tickets and merchandise, so the teams in the NFL stand to lose a segment of their fan base by signing someone who is on video knocking his fiancée out with a punch. My point was aimed at the people who act like it's an inconvenience and they aren't allowing him to make money. Again it's a privilege to play in the NFL not a right. He can use his college degree to get a job in his field. The NFL is not his only option to generate income. I have season tickets and the only two times I seriously considered giving up my tickets would be if the Bills had signed Michael Vick or if the Bills signed Ray Rice. There are things in life bigger than football. -

My two cents. This team has granted second chances to some players and that's ok. However in my view, you're truly crossing a line if they would sign Rice. This "man" cold cocked his fiancée in an elevator and it was caught on video. To me this shows a few things. One, he's incredibly stupid to think it wouldn't be on camera, or two, he didn't care. If he did that in public, who knows what he's capable of behind closed doors? Also for those arguing that the league has taken away his ability to make money, he could go do any job he wants. Except in the NFL, who have chosen to not allow him the PRIVILEGE to play in their league and make money off of them. He can go work at a bank, a pizzeria, the mall or the zoo. He's more than capable and has the ability to make money so I don't buy that the league is punishing him and his wife by not allowing him to work. Also, as someone else mentioned, for those of you with kids, how do you explain to them how you can root for him because he plays for your team? Because winning is all that matters? What about teaching children right from wrong? Oh he's a Bill so we want him to win us games? I can't accept that. I'm glad the Bills are passing on him, and if Rice has to be the first player "blacklisted" in the modern age for his actions, I can only hope others who do senseless acts of violence and such will follow suit and be blacklisted from the league. -
Why do I keep seeing people say Hogan has not performed well? I've been in Mississippi since camp started but does he really look this badly? Or has he become our new whipping boy?
-
You may be onto something. Pride is a silly thing sometimes. Goodwin hasn't shown much, yeah he runs fast in a straight line but his hands aren't that great, he isn't a great route runner and at this point in his career hasn't shown anything beyond speed. Hogan can play the slot, can play split wide, can run routes very well and typically holds onto the ball. So I'm not sure how Goodwin is a better bet than hogan

In 2014 playing in 10 games he had 1 catch. What exactly does he bring over a guy who in 16 games had 41 catches?

Didn't Gilmore rate out as like the 8th best CB in the league last year? Not sure where I saw that but that number is sticking in my head for some reason.

EJ 4-8 with two drops and one scramble and bad throw
MarkAF43 replied to Jmsbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I'm stuck in Mississippi and didn't get to watch, I did listen on the WGR app but coming here it would appear this is where we stand Taylor- played well but won't last because running QB's never survive Cassel- safe throws, non risk taker EJ- can't throw on the run, is doomed and should be cut. Did I miss anything? -

Would a white guy have gotten a written warning? Don't kid yourself. It's all about equality. You fire one who says it, you fire all who do
