So how long do you give the players to play in a system? Can the system be that good if it takes more than 2 seasons to get it? After 2 seasons you run the risk of player turnover and more new players to learn it. I'm not completely in disagreement, there are just a lot of questions i struggle with.

To an extent I'm with you, and I know there are plenty of different circumstances, but as I mentioned, I'm basing it off of what I've seen from him as our HC and the Jets. I originally was all for having him here, but I don't think he has the right mindset to keep up with the NFL of today. To me, he seems to make it more complicated and doesn't let his D go see ball, go get ball, if you're thinking too long its difficult to make a play, and he does not seem to adapt well.

I understand what you're saying. For me though, looking at it this year, if he manages to pull off 9-7, its insignificant to me. We can't beat any team that sits above our level or even at the level we want to be at, so it really means nothing. And I know the other one is in regards to another comment from another poster, but I can say personally i don't hold the last 15 years against Rex. I look at it strictly from what he has done, and to me it's completely underwhelming and not deserving of a 3rd season.

I voted to fire him. Looking at his record, his failings to elevate this defense, just shows to me it won't get better. Even if he squeaks out two wins to finish the season, 9-7 is hollow with the fact that our division record will only be 3-3 and our conference record will be 6-6, it's not good enough. He no longer seems to have the answers to why the team doesn't perform well, and yes while the team has had injuries, good coaches find ways to utilize what they do have available to win games. It has practically become a given that if we are playing a team with a better record or a playoff team that we will lose.

The fact is it is one year for him. Yes, fans are frustrated because it's going to be 17 years. However for him and his plans for this franchise, it is year one.

Do you really believe the leadership of this franchise isn't paying attention?

I live ten minutes from New Era field and I'm 99% certain I'm done. Between the product on the field, the legions of drunken and obnoxious idiots in the stands, It's just not worth it anymore. I'll watch from home.

Here's my thing. I've never been a "he's my guy" kind of fan. I've always been the hey he's a Bill, he's our guy. Same thing goes for Tyrod. Hell I bought his jersey. With that being sad, I'm not sure a scouting report that is almost 6 years old pinpoints the shortcomings in his game has changed much to a report being done on him right now. I would love for it to click and for him to change those things, but I'm just not seeing it happening. For those stating he hasn't had his weapons, that's fair to an extent. But anticipating a throw or throwing receivers open doesn't require weapons. That's a skill that the QB should develop regardless of weapons or not. I know it's not an apples to apples comparison but if you get a chance go look at the progression of game by game with Kirk Cousins and Tyrod. I know yards aren't everything, but the progression of Cousins is what we all wanted to see from Tyrod. In my opinion as much as I want him to succeed, I'll be more disappointed if the Bills spend the money to extend him. I feel it sets the franchise up for more years of futility.
