  1. Its hard to score in the red zone when your in a 15 yard shotgun every play. Mizzou ran the ball A LOT this year compared to the year before. They have 3 good running backs.
  2. As we all know, college statistics are not the only telling factor if a prospect is going to flourish in the NFL or not. Heck.. Tom Brady didn't even start in college. So, for those of you who think Blaine Gabbert is not a good QB because of his junior year stats. I don't think you are really looking at the other factors involved in a what makes a good NFL player. This guy can make ALL the throws. He has Drew Bledsoe size and Jeff Garcia Speed. Just based of his physical tools, he warrants at least a top 10 pick. The Missouri offense is frustrating to watch and didn't really showcase what he truely can do. They throw a lot of bubble screens and quick slants. Mizzou did not really have a deep threat and haven't really had one since Jeremy Maclin and possibly Denario Alexander in Gabberts Sophmore year. I think Gabbert can be an excellent QB. Just my opinion
  3. That is 90% of college QBs. There is always a transition period. He has the tools and the smarts to do it. Thats all that matters.
  4. I don't think you have a clue.. he has great scrambling ability when the pocket breaks down. You can see that by his rushing stats. He had god awful receivers and still led Mizzou to 10 wins. Imagine if he had Jeremy Maclin and Denario Alexander at the same time, he would have chucked it around pretty effectivly. When your top receiver is T.J. Moe.. a converted high school QB, it's obvious his weapons weren't the greatest.
  5. I disagree. Gabbert is and will have always been a first round talent.. jury is out on if is he worthy of a top 5 .. even a top 10 pick.
  6. Gabbert's arm is a rocket. He will "wow" on his pro day. I just want to see him under center taking 5 and 7 step drops. I've been a Mizzou fan my whole life, im very excited for this guy.
  7. #1 Cam Newton ( You win in this league with QB's that people fear !! ) #2 Phil Taylor ( so we can kick Kyle Williams out to DE on non passing downs.)
  8. He ran a spread at Parkway West high school here in St. Louis.. Im not sure he ever ran a pro style offense.
  9. Soft names make soft people
  10. So I just saw that Blaine Gabbert is pretty much just as fast as Cam Newton in strait line speed (Newton (4.59)) (Gabbert 4.62), and also should be considered a better thrower once he has his pro-day. That's why I agree that Gabbert should be the #1 QB off the board. Probably going to Arizona at 5.
  11. Because Blaine Gabbert is an honor student I believe. My guess is he is between 25-30... Cam Newton 15-20 I'll be watching to see how close my guess is
  12. With all of these receivers.. kinda looks like one of them may be traded...
  13. Has anyone heard anything on Marcus Easleys injury progress? i'm super excited for this guy. I think Steve, Lee, David Nelson, and Easley could be a pretty nice set of receivers.
  14. Tim Tebow looked ok this year.
  15. Gabbert's wonderlick score should be WAY higher than Cam Newtons.. thats not saying much though since it means nothing.
  16. Damnit Buffalo Bills!!! what the hell direction are they going with this franchise?? I thought they were going young and building from the draft. Not bring in injury prone veterans... gimme a break.
  17. Jake Locker has a much better arm and is much more mobile than Gabbert This one made me laugh. Do you know that Gabbert probably runs in the 4.6 - 4.7 range maybe even faster? His arm is a rocket. The only thing that is the question mark with him is his ability to take snaps under center and make quick decisions in the NFL.
  18. I live in STL and the Rams stadium is just terrible. Ive been to: St. Louis Edward Jones Dome - By far the worst ive been to Kansas City Arrowhead - This is an awesome football experience.. would rate high on my list. Miami (landshark stadium at the time)- Was ok.. Sucked it was 95 degrees when I went. Otherwise nice stadium. The Ralph - Nice stadium.. the best tailgating, KC is pretty close.
  19. The Rams.. Lived in St.Louis most of my life.
  20. Cam Newton is a beast!! The Bills are idiots if they pass on him #3.
  21. I hope that was sarcastic
  22. No thanks to Tyson Jackson.. you can thank Tamba Hali for that and an outstanding secondary with Eric Berry and Flowers.
  23. Picking any defensive end at #3 in my opinion is a reach. You need to get an impact, franchise changing player if you pick in the top 3 and unless you are an elite pass rusher, left tackle, or Quarterback. You should not get picked top 3 Suh is a gamechanging pass rushing DT. So I consider him an exception.
  24. Hes a reach Sounds a lot like Tyson Jackson who went #3.
