Lynch arrives in Buffalo- Per PFT
UticaBill replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marshawn is a young kid who has been thrust into the limelight and been given a ton of money then proceeded to do what many young rich kids do and make bad decisions.... He didn't shoot or rape someone, he made mistake many others have made. I am not apologizing for those transgressions I just think that we should allow Marshawn the opportunity to learn from the mistakes and become a man.... AND a great back. Let's not forget that Marshawn is only a tenth slower in the 40y than CJ is.... -
While I agree he'll probably start, I expect to see him relieved much more than normal.... anyone who thinks otherwise has skipped a few reality pills
-
James Hardy.... or rather WR2.... Hardy looked bad most of the day, and I didn't see him effective in the RZ so right now, on offense, that is our weakest link. Hardy's presence out there will draw attention for a while, but if he doesn't show something in the next few games D's will be allowed to compensate. Of course I am not expecting very much from a rookie WR in his first few games anyways.... Even the great Randy Moss took 9 games to start being a factor.

The exact reason Mr Peter's should be out on the field EARNING his paychecks instead of whining about their size.... Holdouts make sense when the team isn't willing to negotiate, but the Bills are trying to negotiate and Peter's is ignoring them.... OK... If its a staring contest you want Mr. Peters.... Don't blink.... The Bills have been around for 48years and Peters already has played in more than the average number of seasons for an NFL player.....Other than the Bills line Stinking it up really badly, Peters is decreasing his value quickly with his current tactic. Why? Because unless the Fans are SCREAMING for the player to return, the holdout has no real leverage these days....and those other teams that might be interested in signing or trading for Peters are watching this situation closely I can guarantee you that! Nobody want's a Pariah on their team! (Except maybe Dallas)

I've just seen it as JP has many excuses for not living up to potential while Trent has matched that developing potential in his first year. I love JP, if he ever reaches his potential he has the athleticism that Favre had when he first entered the league, and has a similar arm. Five years is a long time to wait for development, and I fully support Trent this season. Trent seems to be a special player, the kind Walsh has found before. He gives the kid the Nod to and old friend who is desperate for help and possibly hands us the best gift since Jim Kelly. I will say that Trent is all potential, just as JP is, and he need to define himself this season, so far I like his style. It's such a shame we can't keep both kids, as they both are great people off the field and are outstanding role models which is highly admirable.

JP would be the trade bait... I almost think what the Bills want for JP and what the Packers will want for Favre might be similar.... Trade JP FOR Brett Favre..... simple! Everyone would need new contracts, but how crazy is that idea really? GB was the team that would have taken JP had the Bills not traded up to get him remember.... and he would be a Veteran presence for them when they have a cast of untested. Not that it will ever happen...

Offical spam John Clayton until he aplogizes thread

Ah! Herein lies the trap the NFL has been laying for the fans.... They wait till the Bills must be SOLD and then convince the new owner to move to greener pastures and THEN the Toronto market is FREE to take up an NFL team... this way the NFL grows by two new cities with greater revenues....of course you can expand by only one team and so the Jaxksonville failure is moved to LA at the same time..... again increasing league revenues. What I really want to know is why the owner of the team cannot sell it to the public? I would think the fact that the Packers are publicly owned would be all the precedent he would need..... Of course if RCW really wanted it to stay Wilson Stadium and Wilson Fieldhouse for life, he would Will the Bills to the City of Buffalo, or rather its fans..... With the agreement that those naming rights may not be sold. Ah, if only the world was really so philanthropical! -
You are not alone!

[closed]Character for the sake of talent
UticaBill replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just because you've never had the need to defend yourself doesn't mean it won't happen, and as far as anyone knows at this point, James MAY have been acting correctly for the situation.... everyone is wildy speculating what happened as if it HAS to be a bad thing.... But tip toeing thru the facts we DO know is that James Dad, who has not been present throughout James life shows up at his sons door, they get into an argument and then James pulls out a gun... (Never does it say he points it at anyone) For all we know, his "drunken" father popped in to ask his newly rich son for a loan...etc....etc... and James ask him to leave, the argument gets worse his drunken dad says "I brought you into this world, I can take you out" heading in James directions and so he pulls out the firearm and tells his dad to leave maybe even telling the neighbor to call the cops ensuring his father would not return..... In a case like this, James pulled a gun on his dad and DID NOTHING WRONG!!! You people have too much time on your hands trying to blow up every little item into a "controversial story" -
ANyone Interested in a Partial Season Package?
UticaBill replied to taterhill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

I no unnerstand this...from Chris Brown

The radio signals used in the NFL are fairly hard to make sense of unless you have the needed codes.... they are broadcast spread spectrum across several frequencies and are scrambled as well. I wouldn't say its impossible, but you would need to do this every sunday as the codes get changed... not likely... Now JAMMING the equiptment makes a lot more sense, but the NFL could monitor that and look for the transmitters... I think if NE were to get caught a SECOND time for cheating they would get slapped pretty darn hard... but otherwise, this matter is closed and no new punishment will come.... -
Youboty will make the team before Cox will.... Not that Cox won't, but he might wind up on the PS

Check out the 1st rd in the 2005 draft..., you know,
UticaBill replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a pathetic year for talent that was! S Sanders would have been nice.... Though we could have taken Tommie Harris (instead of Evans) and still got Bernard Berrian in the third! The trade for Losman was the right thing at the time.... We just handled the QB's badly. -
I heard of him! Sign this sucka!
-
Marshawn's cousin WR Steve Johnson has been wearing red-tipped Dreads since last year.... Now Johnson is on the Bills and Marshawn gets his tips dyed.... Things that make you go Hmmmm.....
-
Actually you should never trust someone in power, only respect them immensely.

We would need a smaller stadium for that expectation.... the Bills draw from a rather large geographical area and many of the out lying fanbase will regularly schedule a trip for 1-4 games a year, but asking them to make 10 trips just isn't too practical when some are driving 200 miles now. If we sell 60,000 Season tickets we would be sitting very pretty against any other teams sales base.

PROOF THE $&%@# PATS* CHEAT!!!
UticaBill replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well you know what they say.,.. its only cheating if you get caught! I think the punishment has been meted out, and we won't see a whole lot more on it as the NFL has switched to the Defensive Radio Helmut neutralizing this type of activity. There is probably more to this story than we'll ever really know.... missing tapes.... smells like watergate to me.... -
Projecting next year's starters
UticaBill replied to Reddy Freddy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
actually your both right depending on the personnel you have available....down and distance.... Play call...defense.... the RB/TE sort of work together anyway. I find it interesting that JP was that effective getting the ball to the RBs! I don't really remember that!?! But good stuff, and more proof that we have not one, but TWO quality QBs with different playing styles. I am of the belief that either could step up now that we have a jelled o-line and some weapons downfield. -
Their college "Careers" are just their education like any other kid going to college to learn how to do a job for money. You don't pay the students! As for the Colleges making millions, true but where do you think the money for the sports scholarships come from? The rest of the money raised does help lower the overall cost of tuition at the school.

Who in the hell do the Bills think they are??!
UticaBill replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team wins/loses this year based on the QB play..... TE or JP or whomever is playing needs to have a solid if not spectacular season for the Bills tor each the playoffs. -
4th Round Selection 2: Derek Fine TE Kansas
UticaBill replied to Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelly runs a sub 4.6 when healthy.... 4.8 is slow for a TE.... how many LB's run slower than that? Who's covering the TE? You want to have a mismatch at TE so the defense has to give the LB help or put a DB on him.... This kid is a 3-4 yard dump off kinda TE which is FINE, but I think everyone was hoping for someone who created mismatches and freed up underneath space. Other than his lack of height and lack of speed, I really like the fact that he is a complete TE. He does seem to have quickness and agility. -
