  1. THe New York Post is reporting that Toomer will most certainly have to play for another team next year. While he is 34, he is also 6'3" and is an excellent possession receiever still at his age, with great hands. If we were to bring him in, and groom Johnson and Hardy under him, I think it would be a very solid signing. With his age as well, he would be a cheaper and more viable option for us as well. http://www.nypost.com/seven/01142009/sport...zzle_150106.htm
  2. It is possible that Orakpo will be there when we pick.
  3. sorry if already posted. I would love if the draft went this way. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9032992...irst-round-mock
  4. You can say whatever you want about the Bills FO, but I can NOT see them even remotely thinking about taking a DB with the first pick with such HUGE holes to fill elsewhere. I hope I don't eat my words, but I cant see it. Then again, we have a marketing manager as a GM. If the guy looks good in a pair of Nike's maybe we take him with our pick
  5. I know a lot of people have already started to talk about trading down to get more picks. Last year there was the same sentiment. Now I don;t know exactly how the combine will go, but looking at the prospects that are out there right now, is there anyone that might be worth trading up for?
  6. Oh, by the way, Jared Allen with 14.5 sacks, is a white guy with a high motor. How'd he do this year?
  7. This whole white guy thing needs to stop. I'm sick of reading these posts. If someone has talent, they have talent, regardless of race. Just shut the F up already
  8. I DO NOT want him at his size
  9. Everette Brown
  10. I would rather a DE or TE, but if we draft Mays, I definitely wouldn't have a problem. He's a freak!
  11. What worries me is that we need a pass catching TE, but will we know what to do with him. Look at Hardy. The guy had 36 td's in college. I don't care if he didn't know the playbook and ran bad routes, but how much preparation is there to run a fade route in the endzone. We got him to be a bigtime redzone threat, and we didn't even use him. Would we actualy even use a TE?
  12. He has apparently wore out his welcome there. (READ BELOW) but I think if we can trade for him, we do it. I don't think his "character" issues would be a problem. He plays tremendously hard, has great hands, and he is EXACTLY what we need at TE. Young, proven, and good. If we could trade for him, sign Birk, and sign Tank Johnson/DT/DE. And then draft a DE, OLB, and C. We could be a VERY good team next year. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...tavern-talk-92/ I know that the Browns will also trade tight end Kellen Winslow this off-season and that he has not been a part of any discussions with coaching candidates.
  13. I agree with you. As much as I would love for us to get Peppers or Scott or even Dansby, I don't see us doing it. I think Tank would help the middle a great deal and wouldn't be as expensive as the other FA's
  14. Why not. Put him and Stroud in the middle. Try and sign Birk, and draft a DE and a TE and we would be greatly improved
  15. per rotoworld ESPN's Ed Werder confirms that impending free agent NT Tank Johnson will not be retained by the Cowboys this offseason. This was reported two days ago in the Dallas Morning News. Tank kept his nose clean with the Cowboys and would appear to have a better chance of finding a team in 2009 than Adam Jones. Johnson fits better in a 4-3 defense.
  16. Oh, sorry. I was just going on a John Clayton report that didn't specify on ESPN
  17. I'd like the know which shoulder it is on. If it's his non-throwing shoulder, then no biggie
  18. I would take Mack and then Hicks if he is still there
  19. Rated pretty high as a Center. If we don't get Mack, anyone know anything about this guy?
  20. Not officially but he's planning on it this week: here's a link http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...lare-for-draft/
  21. We need a pass rusher badly, but it seems to me as if Ralph is a lot more unhappy with the offense. I think its possible we go O with our first pick
  22. Oddly enough, if I remember correctly, the Bills said they didn't have Willis ranked in their top 3 players of need. I think they had Poz higher
  23. I agree that I would still draft a center even with the acquisiton of Birk, but he would definitely be a welcome piece to the puzzle. Most likely he would be able to adjust faster and gel with his new team faster than a rookie, giving whoever we draft time to learn and compete against top competition. I definitely think we should sign him
  24. we should make him a priority http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/37072039.html
  25. I know everyone doesn't think we will spend that much money this offseason, but we HAVE to, especially being a small market team. After this upcoming season, the NFL will be uncapped and teams like the Giants, Jets, and Cowboys will buy everyone. It will be like what the Yankees and Red Sox have done in MLB. We need to use our money to lockup some key FA's because after this next year, there is no chance we get any
