  1. Thanks Tim, keep the news coming!
  2. per rotoworld The Ravens have cut off contract negotiations with free agent G/C Jason Brown. Brown will be the top interior offensive lineman available when the clock strikes 12AM in eastern time zones. He could be under contract just hours later. GET ER DONE!!!
  3. says we are cutting Royal and Dockery freeing up 8 million in cap space
  4. That would be awesome. Jason Brown prefers to play guard anyway. Then we could draft a Center and groom him behind Saturday. Our line would be one of the best if we were able to sign both of them
  5. I'm not sure what I think about the move, but it's possible this was done due to the uncapped year after next. Get a big contract off the books in order to sign someone now or next year that we wouldn't have been able to
  6. WHo do we play at guard?
  7. I think we might go after June to replace Ellison. That might be a perfect fit
  8. Great mock. A lot of people say Freeman might be better than Laurinitis. And Ingram in the 4th! That would be awesome
  9. I think you're right. I can't find a link, but I feel like I read that somewhere
  10. I'm pretty sure he was the Bills first choice over Stroud last year
  11. The footwork on that play is amazing!
  12. per rotoworld NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that All-Pro NT Shaun Rogers has grown so "disenchanted" with the new Browns regime that he's asked the team to not exercise his $6 million March option bonus. The Browns deny Rogers demanded his release, but failing to pick up the bonus would make him a free agent. It would also cause Cleveland a $9.8 million cap hit. Eric Mangini has reportedly reached out to Rogers in hopes of changing his mind. The coach did the same in New York with Laveranues Coles, but clearly the Mangini-Kokonis era has gotten off to a rotten start.
  13. could he be the veteran QB backup we could use?
  14. The more I think about it, the more I think Orakpo is the safer pick. ALthough I do think Maybin could be a great player in the league someday, I think Orakpo could make a difference right away
  15. per rotoworld: The Dolphins are expected to make a "huge push" to sign G/C Jason Brown when the free agent market opens. Brown may encounter the same problems with Miami he's having in talks with the Ravens. Baltimore will only give him top center money and he wants to be paid like a guard. Miami's need is at center, not his preferred position. I know it says he wants to get paid like a guard, but it also says his preferred position is guard. being that our need is Center as well, he might not choose either team
  16. I don't think Orakpo is a speed rusher. I think he is an all around athlete. He could be good against the run. I think Maybin's ceiling is the heighest, but it worries me he has on;y one year of solid production. I keep going back and forth, but right now I'd be happy with either one
  17. Owen Daniels? You would give up a 1st and a 3rd for him?
  18. not saying that I knew who we would draft last year by any means, but everyone was saying either a WR - Hardy, Sweed, Kelly etc. or CB - McKelvin, Talib, DRC, etc. The Bills, while not giving away their hand, talked about certain individuals in depth and where they felt the holes were on the team that needs to be filled. This year, I feel like I have no idea which way we will go. Here is a list of players and positions that I have heard people having us take. Brandon Pettigrew (TE), Alex Mack ©, Max Unger ©, Maybin (DL), Orakpo (DL), Brown (DL), Johnson (DL), Ayers (DL), Cushing (LB), Maulaluga (LB), Laurinitis (LB), B.J. Raji (DT). Do we have more holes than last year? or are the Bills playing their cards closer to the vest this year? I remember on BB.com that they had all the player interviews with Hardy, Sweed, Kelly, etc. This year...nothing
  19. A little off topic, but has Amobi Okoye done anything in the NFL? I'm not sure. If Maybin takes a real long time develop we might want someone who would make more of an immediate impact. I just don't think that player is Michael Johnson
  20. Free agent C Matt Birk told the AP that he's had "encouraging" talks with the Vikings about a new contract. Neither side wants this union to end, but it'll come down to a money matter. Birk made roughly $6 million last year and may not want to take any less. (per rotoworld) If we can't get him, do we go after Saturday or Jason Brown?
  21. I'll get sick if they pick him. There is so much talent available at 11. Even if we trade down I'm not sure he should be the guy
  22. I'd be happy with Orakpo too, he just doesn't seem like much of an athlete, although he is beast. I don't know if he would be the pass rusher we would be looking for, but he would be solid, no doubt
  23. It would be awesome if we got Sean Jones
  24. wow. that 40 time for Brown is drastically higher than the unofficial time of 4.63
  25. you're right. he ran a 4.78. sorry. rotoworld writes this on Maybin: Penn State DE Aaron Maybin registered two unofficial forty times of 4.78 at the Scouting Combine. Maybin, who played in the low 230 range last season, has bulked up to 6'4/250 since the Rose Bowl and these respectable times show he can handle the weight. Maybin is a strong candidate to be drafted in the top 12 and could rush the passer from a 3-4 OLB spot or as a DE on a 4-3 team.
