Just read that the Bills took the 1st and 4th and then the 6th or 7th next year to add flexibility. I would have taken the 1st and 3rd in a second. This just makes me even more mad than I already am
great year to do this too, with T.O. coming in and looking actually decent. I felt great when we signed T.O., now the signing is going to be a waste because our line won't be able to hold up long enough for TE to throw the ball. I tink I'm gonna get sick, or cry, or both
That is a good question. If we can trade down out of the 11th and get a later first and another mid round pick. I would pull the trigger on Scheffler in a second. We could draft a DE, OLB, and LT with our other picks.
We have WAY too many holes to give up ANY picks. We need to get more. I would even consider trading back out of 11 to gain extra picks. I think that's the way to go
If Oher, Andre Smith, Brown, Cushing, Maybin, and Ayers are there at 11, what do we do? I'm fuming over this trade, but I want to know what people think we should do to try and at least fill our HUGE holes
I just saw the interview. He seemed like a decent guy. He was asked if he could sack any QB, current or retired, in the NFL, who would it be. His answer was, whoever the QB is of the first team he plays. I thought that was a pretty cool answer
This might take Matthews, if not both, off of our board. per rotoworld:
USC OLB Clay Matthews reportedly created a Facebook group during his junior season called "White Nation," which showed a photo of an African American baby in handcuffs.
Under the picture was a caption saying "arrest black babies before they become criminals." It also said "This group is not for the faint of heart. All members are athletes of Caucasion descent. We are just doing our duty of protecting the Arian brotherhood." Brian Cushing, K David Buehler, and former Redskins draft pick Dallas Sartz joined the group. The athletic dept. billed the group as a joke. Matthews later issued a formal apology.
Also, a lot of people say that Ayers manhandled Andre Smith when they played Alabama. I just watched an Ayers highlight video on youtube and it looks to me that when he got sacks against Bama, that he was sliding in past the guard or beating the Tight End. I could be wrong though
Ayers played on the right side in college. WOuld he switch in with Schobel if he was drafted or would he supplant Kelsay and Denney. Also, what is the difference, other than facing the teams left tackle and tight end, for the right end? or is there none?
He seems solid. But I find strange is that Mayock seems to have a good eye for talent and he's now rated the third overall best prospect. Not sure if I see it. What I do think, however, is that he might be a safer pick than Brown or Maybin. He might not be the pass rusher we need, but he might be more steady, Problem is, it's seems that we have too many of those steady but not spectacular guys. I just don't want a bust at #11. We can['t afford it
