Just heard on Mike Francesa that the Cardinals have lowered their demands for Boldin to a second round pick as the top compensation. Not saying we should get him, but man is that a steal. The Giants, Jets and Eagles are all trying to get him in a heated battle now. If the Eagles get him then I think it's even less likely they go for Pettigrew at 21 as well. Maybe he will fall to us at 28. Man, if we didn't have T.O. I would have wanted us to get Boldin in a second.

I would love to get Pettigrew, but would you rather a top DE and a somewhat lesser TE like Nelson, Ingram, Beckam, Casey. Or would you rather Pettigrew and then a much lesser DE like Barwin or Johnson?

Apparently Philly also said 1st and a 3rd and we said, "nope, we'll take a fourth and how about throw in a 6th next year"

Our 2 biggest glaring needs are at OT and DE. I don't think we should reach for an offensive tackle at 11, especially if the top tier is gone. In addition, there are a lot of articles stating that this tackle group isn't all that great to begin with. I still think we need to go DE with 11. Either Brown, Orakpo, Ayers or Maybin. The problem with the 28, is that I think the Bills truly are alright with Walker at LT. I'm not sure if this is a smokescreen or not, but I seem to believe it. A great blocking TE would help the LT and RT and Pettigrew fits the Bill. All the mock drafts I have seen, unless they have us picking him, has him going to Philly with the 21 or Atlanta at 24. We should have DEMANDED the 21st pick. Getting a top flight DE and then getting the best TE in the draft would have been great. We could then use our 2nd round pick on a guy like Unger or Wood, and a 3rd on McKenzie or another backer. I just think the 21st pick would have worked out so well to our advantage, and we have too many needs to trade up to get Pettigrew if we don't take him at 11

I was wondering the same the thing. I couldn't imagine him just accepting the 3 games. I hope it gets reduced to 1-2, but he better make sure to get the appeal in.

I have been pretty livid at the trade of Jason Peters. I think we got abused in the nether regions, if you know what I mean, in terms of compensation. I will, however, hold out hope that we have a plan in place. Possibly trading for Waters, Scheffler, or signing Simmons or Keiaho. I'm just holding out hope that after the draft is all said in done that we will have more pieces and place and that we will have filled our holes. Am I ridiculous to expect this?

LT's don't grow on trees, and neither do elite ones. I know LT's can leave due to FA, but I can't think of one that got traded, in his prime, without getting a contract. Am I wrong, or is this a first? Teams just don't trade guys like Peters, and the deal we got was horrible.

Unless we trade for Waters, which I don't think this brilliant FO will do, we should sign Simmons. We need more veterans on the line and two rookies on the left scares me. If not to start, at least for depth. Couldn't hurt IMO
