wow, you are doing a great job contributing to the board. keep it up. and by the way, if there are any pieces of food or debris in my avatar, you can eat them

I think the only reason he hasn't seen more time is because our offensive line is so bad and they needed bigger guys out there that could block a little bit. I think next year will be big for him
-
I don't really have much to post, but I haven't really seen anyone talk about him. His blocking hasn't been all that bad, and he seems to be fast with really good hands for a tight end. He looks like a big WR. If he can put on 10 pounds of muscle or so, I think he can be a very good player for us. There was one play that Fitz overthrew the ball and he laid out, full extension, to try and get it. It was still just out of his range, but he managed to get his fingertips on it preventing a INT. The effort he gave on the play, and the full extension, were things I haven't see from a TE on this team, let alone a WR, in a very long time. I think we got a really good TE in the making, and a steal in the 4th round

I understand what makes him a good college QB. But I've seen a lot of college QB's with mediocre arms, and can run. Tommy Frazier comes to mind. I don't want him on the Bills
-
I think Vince Young has a lot more natural talent than Tebow. Young might not pass well, but does a lot of things very well with his legs. He's just so damn fast. Tebow is a good college QB and can run now, I just don't see the same talent and speed as VY
-
Exactly, that's he way I see it. From ESPN on Tebow accuracy and arm: based on a scale 1-5 with 1 being the best Accuracy 4 Flashes great touch and the ability to fit the ball into tight spots down the field but is far too inconsistent with his overall accuracy. Needs to learn to change velocities and show better touch on underneath throws. Deep ball will flutter and float too often. Footwork is erratic and accuracy suffers as a result. He frequently operates with enormous passing windows, which allow him to miss within the strike zone with no consequence. He completes a lot of passes that will throw his receiver off course, thus eliminating potential yards after catch. Many of those misses within the strike zone will either be batted down or picked off in the NFL. Release 4 Reportedly is working with new QB coach to get the ball out quicker and more over-the-top as a senior. On 2007 and 2008 film Tebow takes entirely too long getting the ball out. It will be difficult to succeed in the NFL with the elongated, three-quarter delivery that he has used the past two seasons. Arm Strength 2 Overall arm strength is good but not elite. Gets good zip on deep out throws. Can fit the ball into tight spots in intermediate zone. Deep ball has a tendency to flutter and will get hung up in the air at times.

I just don't see an NFL QB when I watch him play for whatever reason
-
I understand the passion aspect, and I like his fire. But having a lot of passion isn't gonna cut it in the NFL
-
I just don't see it. WHat does he do well?
-
He's arguably the best college QB, and possibly college player ever, yet I don't see anything he does that's all that amazing. He's big and runs the option well, but there's rarely the option ran in the pros. He doesn't throw all that well, he's not that fast. I feel like he benefits from a great coach and surrounding team. Am I missing something here? Florida is up 24-0 and I have no idea how. I just don't see why he has been so good. Can anyone help me out? I'm not knocking him really, I just don't see it

Jimmy Clausen to enter 2010 Draft

I like turtles -
I know a lot of you have concerns over having Vick on the team. I think it would be a perfect fit. We could go after top OL and DL in the draft to try and shore up the lines. He also has the speed necessary to escape sacks, something a QB on our team would need to do with a young line trying to gel. We do have Brohm as well, wo may or may not be the answer for the future. If Vick does well great, if not, then we hopefully will have answered a lot of questions in the draft to bolster the lines and can go after the QB we need in the next draft. Just a thought. I guess it also depends on whether the draft for lineman is expected to be better this year or next. I know this is a good QB class, but I'm not sure about OL or DL

Looks like we drafted a lot of first round DB's then too

Was watching ESPN earlier..what was so special

Who took a **** in your cornflakes. I was simply asking a question. I don't care for Flutie one way or the other, I was just curious about the Miami game. I'll make sure not to post about your dad anymore Doug Jr. -

I understand that as well, but why is that the most important Hail Mary of all time. I don't get it? -

ok, right. but why do we still talk about it, let alone have a piece done about it on ESPN. He didn't even play regularly in the NFL until the twilight of his career. I just don't get it. A prayer in the dark throw makes him a legend? I don't get it -
Sure he was small. But he didn't lead his team back from 4 Td's down or anything miraculous like that. He just threw a ball as far as he could and the WR caught it. I've seen that a number of times. Kordell Stewart against Michigan comes to mind, but no one does a piece on that throw. What makes Flutie's so special. I say nothing, but I'm interested in others opinions

Wood has successful surgery and Mckinney out for the year
BeastMode54 replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm 6'4" 230 and haven't played organized football in years. While I not be ready for the offensive line, I do think my measurements qualify for our defensive line. I've got a great first step too by the way -
He's not a QB? That's exactly how you do it
-
And that would be a bad idea why? Because we are headed to the playoffs? We have nothing to lose. Throw him out there. Get him on the field in the NFL.
-
Thats an idea I can totally agree with. See what we have. I don;t know what they are trying to do.
-
Yea, Bell, Chamber, Scott, Walker, they are all much much better, You need to get a clue dude. He's MUCH better than those guys, and it's a hole thats not easy to fix. Or....it would have been had we taken Oher.
