  1. Since 2006 (during Jauron's tenure) here is the penalty comparison when the Bills play New England: Bills 41 penalties for 297 yards Patriots 20 penalties for 167 yards This tells me two different things. 1.) The Patriots are clearly the better coached team. No coach allows their players to make this many mistakes, especially against your biggest division rival. And 2.) The referees favor the Patriots. This is a HUGE discrepancy in penalties and yards. A team will always have an advantage in a game where they get big penalties at crucial points in the game. Last night we lost FOUR first downs because of penalties. NE never lost one first down because of the referees. This is a stat worth noting.
  2. No, he really doesn't. His only job should have been to protect the ball. There was no indication on that play that he was going to cover it up and hit the ground. The coaches obviously didn't point that out to him. Too many "OOPS, we should have done this" plays will kill your team. Our coaches are not smart enough or tough enough on their players to be winners. Period.
  3. I agree to some extent. My biggest issue with the comment is that it really seems like Jauron and April never emphasizes to him that he needs to hold on to the ball NO MATTER WHAT. That was the most important thing on that particular play, and he didn't recognize that. Taking the ball out of the endzone is one thing, but not protecting the ball is a huge blunder. He actually fumbled twice, and Harris bailed him out the first time.
  4. I agree on the penalties. A couple on D. Bell were just terrible calls to begin with. The Patriots didn't have any calls against them on crucial 3rd down plays like we did. Illegal formation on our offensive tackle??? That kills me. Peter King is a tool. He says what everyone else already knows. I wish I could sit on my couch every Sunday watching games and write about all of the highlights.
  5. Mitchell has played MLB for the Chiefs before, and I wouldn't mind seeing Harris in the game. There are a couple scenarios we could try out.
  6. I know these posts go up all the time. And everyone wants to push Jauron out the door. And you know what... I agree. Borderline isn't good enough. Intelligent, hard nosed, punch you in the mouth football is what wins games.
  7. And I would love to see our guys start stripping the ball more often. We have great form tacklers, but we aren't getting to the ball enough causing turnovers.
  8. He probably wouldn't have ran from Erin Andrews
  9. Thank you very much! Somebody sees the light. I also like AVP. But, he needs to make adjustments within games. And he needs to be able to get the ball to his best players regardless of the coverage our opponent is giving us.
  10. A team sport that pays these two guys about half of the team's salary. And why do we do this? Oh yeah, to win games. Why are all of you defending this offense? It seems that everyone is OK with just squeaking out games in the end. We need to take commanding lead and bury our opponents. Once again, I think Trent played well. But he did so within a very simplified offensive game plan. Criticize me all you want, but that is a fact.
  11. Guess what? They aren't on this team to be DECOYS. No this isn't fantasy football, and no I don't believe that I could coach this team. But I do know that big time players make big time plays. Bill Belichick knows that. He draws up plays to get Moss and Welker the ball. And yes, those guys DID help win that game despite not scoring. It's called a drive. They accounted for many first downs that got their offense into the red zone and allowed them to score. Take the blinders off. Trent had a good game within the game plan. He executed well. But once again their were no passes that stretched out the field. I don't care what NE's coverage was. We get that ball downfield. That is my opinion. Take it or leave it.
  12. Exactly! So we look at the coverage, and adjust our routes underneath the coverage. TO and Evans need that ball in their hands.
  13. I agree, they played great. I still can't get over those ridiculous procedure penalties they called on Bell on CRUCIAL 3rd down plays. Those referees should be fired for that BS. That can be called on any play in any game. Terrible officiating.
  14. I agree that it has something to do with that. And it has a lot to do with Trent as well. I noticed him looking downfield a couple times, and it took to long to develop. We should be able to hit passes downfield on quick 3 step drops and throw. Evans can get 20 yards downfield in no time.
  15. We need to target Evans and Owens more on every possession. If we don't, then trade all of our receivers because we're not using them. The screen game is great. But we can't over use it. If we want to win ball games, we give it to the guys that make plays. TO can make BIG plays. And we have all seen Evans beat guys down the field before.
  16. I call BS on this. They keep saying that "they were double covered" each game we play. Guess what, so were Moss and Welker. But the Patriots got them the ball. Evans is one of the fastest receivers in this game. He can get open if we put him in the right situations. I'm tired of the excuses.
  17. Moss and Welker BOTH dropped 2 passes each. This happens every game to guys who get targeted often. But guess what? Brady kept going back to them. And they got results. Why? Because they are playmakers, and YOU GIVE PLAYMAKERS THE BALL.
  18. Are you kidding me? Do we not even realize how good Evans and Owens are??? If you've got players like this on your team, you FIND WAYS TO GET THEM THE BALL. Screens, slants, fades, sh-- we could even pick some of the DB's if they're double covering either one of these guys. It isn't rocket science. Just throw it to them. Fred Jackson played great last night, but he is also our backup running back. Figure it out Trent. AVP, your job's on the line too.
  19. You HAVE TO wonder. Seriously, especially highly televised games with lots of money on the line. You just can't give the favored team THAT MANY advantages. 2 penalties on an offensive tackle lining up off the ball is RIDICULOUS. THEY ARE OFF THE BALL EVERY PLAY OF THE GAME. TO's offensive pass interference call was bogus. That was within 5 yards, and corners can hit receivers. Donte's late hit call was very weak. And the holding call on Shawn Nelson was debatable as well. Come on, this is getting to be too much for us fans.
  20. Easy there chippy. He has a point. We need someone to motivate a group of very talented players, and get them over the hump. When you keep it close, you lose games. You can never be satisfied in this game.
  21. If Jauron dosn't say a word, NOTHING will happen. He needs to get angry when these things happen. Not sit there and pout. Referees only change the way they call games if YOU GET IN THEIR FACE.
  22. TIMING is crucial with penalties called. All of our penalties were given to us when we had 1st down back in our own territory. We had FOUR 1st downs negated because of BOGUS penalties. The Patriots had ZERO. NOT ONE DRIVE STOPPED BECAUSE OF A PENALTY. Maybin was getting held every other time I watched him rush Brady. They had home field advantage, and more. Don't kid yourself. We made some mistakes, but the referees laid it on a platter for NE.
  23. You can call that at any point in ANY game. These refs were full of sh--. I hate that the Patriots get these stupid ass calls in games like this. They had it all lined up for the win. Did anyone see the official put the ball ON THE FIRST DOWN MARKER on 2nd and 1 late in the game? What the hell was going on there. I would normally say that mistakes happen and it all evens out, BUT IT DIDN'T. FOUR 1st down plays were nagated by stupid penalties for the Bills. ZERO for the Patriots. We could have won this game.
