I like that idea. If he looks in the mirror he will see himself wear 81. A win-win situation.

[closed]Covert Philly / Peters trade plan..........
Big Hurt replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bad idea. Why trade away your best lineman when he still has two years under his contract. He performed very well before the 2008 season. IN 2008, he sat out all the OTA and trainning camp (and the first game) and never really recovered from the time missed. I believe if he comes to camp this year he would regain his old form. We have way too many holes to plug and we don't want to have to worry about the most important position on the OL by cutting the best player there. Cutting Dockery was a needed move. It shows Peters that you have to perform or you are not welcome here. I also do not think he would sit out again because he already tried. Not saying that Russ Brandon wouldn't trade him. But I don't like the idea. -
Who care? Just win baby!

Great move by Brandon. The good news here is that the Bills final got the message from fans. I think it is because enough of us decided not to re-up the season tickets that they are forced to make a big move like that. And I am glad they did it. Imagine if the Jets or the Fish got him first? -
I thought it was pretty funny, especially with the water thing. Ha ha...

I am not aware of any team bringing JP in for a visit. But I am sure he will find a team. He can play in this league if given the right coach and system. I don't think JP's long ball is more accurate than his short/medium range passes. I think he is inaccurate when he got too excited. I have seen him play perfect games before when all his passes were right on the money. However, I don't think he received proper coaching because all the years with the Bills. he was always looking over his shoulder. He never had a mentor to tell him what he was doing wrong. I always got the feeling with him that he felt it was him against the world. When he got tight, he would grip the ball too hard and ended up throwing bounce passes with the short balls, and threw over receivers head with the long ball. I thought if he would just relax, he would be more accurate. I wish him the best.

According to some Bills analylists, they are waiting for the bargains. They said usually at the beginning of the FA period, a lot of big name guys are going to be signed for big money. Then teams are going to slow down and wait for bargains. I think the Bills skip the first part and goes right into the bargain period just to get a jump on other teams. Come on, they are very creative! You got to give them credit.

Greer says nice things about buffalo and contract details
Big Hurt replied to 95altima12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know about leadership and all that but Greer has developed into a very reliable player for us when we got all those injury in the back field. He came out filled in nicely. He definitely deserve to start. So good luck in the big easy. -
They will have to cut most of the players to be able to play 3-4. You will need a big nose guard (who we don't have), big ILB, big blitzing linebackers on both side and defensive end that can stop the run. We have trouble stopping the run with two defensive tackles right now. If we play 3-4, we may as well stop defending the run plays.

I think the Bills has no one to blame but themselves. You look around the league. What other fans would still be packing the stadium every week when their team fail to make the playoff ten years in a row? Only Bills fans. They have finally broken our hearts. When Jauron was extended, many of us believed the Bills stop caring. That was when I cancel my tickets. Right now I am taking the wait and see approach. If they prove me right and continue to suck, I will stay away. I am still going to watch them play on TV, but they will need to put a better product on the field for me to go back. -
I can think of many things that can be worse than bring TO here. 1) Marshall Lynch gets arrested again. 2) Trend Edwards continue to regress. 3) They spend another first round pick on running back or receiver and continue to ignore DE and OT. 4) They go 7-9 for the next ten years and Dick Jauron extends his contract for life. 5) They trade schobel to Chicago for a 7th round pick. 6) They lose all the division games again. 7) They get blown out by the Dolphins at home, in snow. 8) We found out that Edwards cannot play in snow and they have to build a dome stadium for him. Right now, this team has very little talent. The players are not good enough and we cannot keep hoping that they will be better (we already tried). The worse part is, the Bills is also not very good at drafting players. So if this is a young team, then they can definitely afford to make some mistakes. I think this team is about 8 to 10 years away from making the playoff anyway (with a lot of luck). Why not experiment with TO and see what happen? The Pats took a chance on Moss when no other team would touch him. It is all about risk. The Bills should look at how the Pats structure Moss' contract and do the same with TO. That is, if TO even want to come here in the first place. My bet is, he is not going to waste his time with this team. Outside of Buffalo, nobody pay any attention to the Bills.

I think Reggie Williams is the best option on this list. We can definitely use some big receivers to create matchup problem for other teams. Looking on that list, I noticed that the Traders just released all of their receivers. I wonder what their plans are.

FIX THE OFFENSIVE LINE FIRST SO YOU CAN PROTECT THE QB AND RUN THE BALL. CANNOT REALLY WORRY ABOUT THE RECEIVERS UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO THROW. WHY IS THE BILLS FRONT OFFICE NOT GETTING IT? ARE THEY THAT STUPID?
-
I don't understand with all the fear of bringing in TO. TO is not going to destroy this team. You won't be able to kill a people that is already dead. The minute the Bills extended Dick Jauron's contract, this team is already dead. Honestly, I cannot say that I am eager to watch the Bills play this coming year. They are a terrible team if not down right sucks. Players are this team are jokes. Coaches are jokes. Owner is the biggest joke. As a result, we are all jokes for carry about a whole lot of nothing. Bring TO in, what the hell! What is he going to do? Care about a lost? Nobody cares in this locker room. Go back and watch the locker room interviews of the Bills players after a lose in BuffaloBills.com (you won't miss them). They showed no emotion, just like their coach. I don't think I want to see that. If we go 1-15, at least we can get excited about the draft in 2010.

I think Sully 's articles became bitter because he is sick of Wilson's denial attitude and the lack of accountability within the Bills organization. Who are we kidding here? The Bills sucked at drafting players and at picking free agents. They often lack the ability to even evaluate their own players. Kelsey's big contract and letting Pat Williams got away were prime examples. If you keep asking for the truth and have these people kept lying to you, it will get to a point that you just want to hurt somebody to get them to talk. Sometimes it get out of hands. But what he said in this particular article is right on the money. I don't know why some people are so patient with this team. How many more years do they have to suck before you demand changes to be made?

Which Super Bowl do you think the Bills will play in

Duke Preston....cheap shot on ref or no?
Big Hurt replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL always tell us the ref is part of the field. If a pass hit the ref, they play on. So if the refs are part of the field and they are in the way, I think it is ok to push them away. Some plays are designed to use the ref to set picks. The refs just need to learn not to get in the way so that they can keep their shirts clean. I don't think Preston should be fined for that. -
I rather listen to Turk then listen to Jauron lame excuse every week and his boring press conference.

Jauron Extension confirmed
Big Hurt replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For those nice folks who are concern about Mr. Ralph Wilson's health, he is not going to die. He is an immortal. At least he will not die before you die of a heart attack while watching his team lose. He also will not sell the team. He will continue to keep Mr. Dick Jauron as the head coach and continue to have losing seasons (that's the plan). To show your support, Bills fans should continue to buy tickets and fill the stadium every week. Once in a while if you feel frustrated with the team's continue losing, don't stop buying tickets, just come to this board and complain. That's because if you stop buying tickets, Mr. Wilson may have to threaten you with moving his team to Toronto. Then your city will have nothing. Like many Bills fans, Mr. Wilson would not want that to happen. Like he said it himself, he is the biggest Bills fan after all. So lets not do anything irrational. Mr. Wilson understands that Bills fans are the most loyal fans in the country, so he really care about you and your feelings and all that. With the holiday season around the corner, Mr. Wilson wants to remind you that the best gifts for your love ones are the Bills merchandise. What can cheer up your families and friends more than receiving a Bills jacket on Christmas morning? The easiest way to get them is at www.buffalobills.com. They take credit card, checks, and Paypal. Also if you would like to send Mr. Wilson cash, please mail it to 1 Bills Drive, Orchard Park NY. Any contribution over $1000, you will receive a Christmas card, personally autographed by Mr. Wilson's signature machine. Have a good day and Go Bills 2009. P.S. Season tickets for 2009 will be onsale soon. With every purchase of the ticket in Toronto next year, you will receive a free bumper sticker. First come first serve. -
I don't have any confident with Wilson that he is smart enough to make it an option contract extension. He is too old and too cheap to think clearly. Jauron is a career loser! He should not be in the league. He is probably the dumbest Yale grad in the school history. We need Marv to come out and explain again why he hire this loser.

The Good: They didn't give up a lot of points, even the offense was giving away the ball all the time. They were able to stop the run in some games. The Bad: Third down, could not get off the field. Giving up big plays on third and long. No pressure, no pass rush, no sack. Cannot play press coverage. Let the other team dink and dunk you to death. Cannot create turnovers. Players could not stay healthy.

James Hardy Analysis
Big Hurt replied to In space no one can hear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a rookie. He played like a rookie. I don't see anything wrong with how he is playing. Maybe Royal has better stats, but it is more of an exception. How about Malcolm Kelly, Devin Thomas, Mario Manningham, and Limas Sweed? Did anyone look up their stats? -
I want to see a complete turn around in offense, that includes: 1) Marshawn run the rock 25 times and 5 yards per carry. 2) Screen plays, draw plays, trap plays, and even half back option pass. 3) No offensive turnover. 4) Get Hardy and Fine involve with passing game. Defensively, I want pressure and a lot of them. Dail in exotic blitzes. Shut down the run! I want to see Stroud totally dominates the Brown offensive line. I want to see Lewis with less than 3 yards per rush. I want to see turn over on defense. I want to see we control the pace of the game and win the field position game. I want to see the Bills control the clock and win the time of possession. I want the Bills to win the game convincingly. I want this game to be the first win of the ten game winning streak.
