  1. Guys, I wouldn't be so sure that he Whiz brings Horton. In fact, it is highly unlikely. Horton is still under contract with Arizona. This would be a lateral move. And he is seemingly happy in Arizona. Just don't see how he's leaving unless he gets a head coaching gig, or if the new guy has his own DC.
  2. I might file this in the "Poor Judgement" category
  3. Fassel hasn't been in the NFL since 2006. Billick hasn't been in the NFL since 2007. That doesn't seem very progressive or forward thinking.
  4. I'd pass. He is 60, hasn't had a head coaching job, and was essentially forced out in Pittsburgh.
  5. Agreed. They took care of him last summer with a new deal. He got some new money. Keeping him at $2.15 in a reduced role is a bargain.
  6. Last year's first and this year's second
  7. He's not going to be traded. He's a selling point to a new coach, not a detraction.
  8. Bingo! This is what I have been telling people who blindly think Lovie would be a great hire. I don't know, maybe it is something in the Chicago water, but both guys share the same glassy-eyed sideline demeanor. That is not the only similarity, but I do not want to go back to the Jauron era. Not the last two years. Injuries or not, back to back collapses.
  9. "Brian Billick waits at The Ralph for Brandon and Co to return in hopes of getting an interview; he brought along his agent, Big Sal, to seal the deal."
  10. Romo is not going anywhere. In 7 seasons, Romo has never had a QB rating lower than 90. Fitzpatrick has never had a season over 90. The Cowboys would have no reason to replace him because there won't be a better alternative.
  11. Ehhh, I didn't realize Whisenhunt posted on TBD. This makes me nervous.
  12. Ahhhh, to be so naive
  13. Hahaha, I was just discussing the interview with some friends and I pulled those exact two questions out too.
  14. Just occured to me... So the Bills go into Arizona. Arizona has a 4-1 record, and our game was back and forth. Go figure, we knock out Kolb (after he lead the Cards on their surprise start), and the wheels fall off as they finish 1-10. For those of you that don't want Ken Whisenhunt, I have to say: If we don't knock out Kolb, and the Cards even finish 3-8 or 4-7, Whisenhunt may not have been fired. This is just the kind of sick twist of fate that only happens in Buffalo...
  15. I think some people were missing my point. I wasn't shocked that he brought it up because I do expect certain talks to happen in this regard over the next 5 years or so. But the fact that he didn't say potentail at the presser, but corrected himself later, perhaps lends itself to the possibility that some type of succession is indeed in place, rather than the age old "it will go the highest bidder." If the organization was only focused on the now and whatever happens happens after Ralph passes, I don't think a new stadium would really be something that Brandon would've mentioned.
  16. This comment from Russ today really intrigued me. Even more intriguing was that on WGR afterwards, he claimed that during the presser, he said "potential new stadium on the horizon." I went back to double check - he never said "potential." Any potential succession plan for Ralph is obviously not public, but this was the first instance where I thought, "Maybe Russ knows more than we do, and he slipped up a little bit here." Thoughts?
  17. A few things to consider.... - Arizona's offense lead the league in INTs - Arizona scored the second fewest PPG - Arizona ranked 12th overall in D - Arizona ranked 12th in points allowed per game - Arizona D was 2nd in 3rd down efficiency - Arizona D ranked 4th in takeaways I think it is fair to say that Horton's D is NOT the reason Arizona is picking ahead of us.
  18. Huh? Have you followed anything regarding Sanchez's contract? He is essentially a worthless asset.
  19. This thread is so sad. I never thought I would have wished for trolling, but that would at least make some sense here.
  20. As far as we know, that could have happened at any time, but no one in his family has any interest in owning the team.
  21. This is getting ridiculous. I haven't seen a single piece of legitimate news regarding Mr. Wilson even considering doing anything with his team. So why all of sudden are so many people swept up in this idea? Random tweets or message board posts from trolls? Illogical suggestions that Ralph is going to gift the team to Jim Kelly? All pretty embarrassing, if you ask me.
  22. None of this makes any sense. Why would Ralph hang onto the team all these years with the intent of selling it at some point in the future... despite the risk that he could pass at any point? The guy is keeping the team. Nothing has changed. If he wanted to sell the team and be a hero (not saying he hasn't been a hero as an owner all this time, just using it in this sense), it would've happened already.
  23. Ralph Wilson NOT be gifting the team to anyone.
  24. I have to believe Arizona's game of musical turds at QB has something to do with it. Stevie Johnson has better numbers than Larry Fitzgerald for crying out loud.
  25. This doesn't seem like anything. Just generic statements that hedge both ways that anyone - in the know or just a fan - could come up with.
