  1. Were you watching Sex in the City DVDs, too?
  2. Kelsay isn't going anywhere. He signed a long-term extension with a sizeable bonus last offseason and he's one of the defensive captains. That's just silly talk.
  3. Well, I'm not sure of the percentages in other markets, but I'd say at least 65% of Buffalo doesn't get the NFL Network. So if you think they don't cover us much, it could have to do with that. I fall into that category.
  4. Nice call with long snapper. I haven't really thought about it much, but my confidence level in Neill - like most Bills fans - isn't very high. I will give Neill credit for getting down field and making plays. He's better at that than Schneck, Dorenbros and Albright were. But I think we should look at picking up a long snapper with a late round pick. I full belive a sixth round pick is worth it for a guy who makes a living out of long snapping, not a guy who is looking for any way to make it in the NFL, like Neill.
  5. That's a real solid mock draft. Personally, I'd rather see what other TEs are available with that pick, but that's just me. Also, if we traded down with the 'Hawks, based on the trade value chart, we'd get their second and third. So I think the problem there is that's too much for the 'Hawks to give up for a RB, and if the Bills just accepted a third from them, that would be too little. If the 'Hawks packaged their first and third this year, plus second next year I'd definitely listen. Also, if Mendenhall is still there at 11, he'll probably still be there at 14. The Broncos and Panthers probably won't go RB. So the team they really have to worry about is Detroit at 15. And if they could hold out until 14, it'd only cost them a first and second. I don't mean to crap on the mock, I really like it. I just like to throw scenarios out there. Good stuff
  6. I went back and checked out the archives on NFL Draft Countdown. In 2004, they ranked him the 19th best WR coming out. He was ranked ahead of some familiar names (Jerricho Cotchery, Darrius Watts, Drew Carter, DJ Hackett, and our own George Wilson). Jenkins has shown he can fill Sam Aiken's void on special teams. He will also be given an opportunity to get some more plays with the offense. I think a roster spot is better served going to Jenkins than taking a flyer on a late round pick (players you've mentioned) and hoping he can makes plays on special teams. To me, it just seems like Jenkins would be a better option for right now.
  7. It was in the Buffalo News
  8. I don't think it's a necessity. I think Justin Jenkins has some potential, and he's probably better than anyone we'd take round 5 or later.
  9. <------------------------ This guy
  10. Nor did I say that's who we should select. I was explaining why he was listed as and OPTION. It's not, as you say, downright "retarted." And I said chill out because you said, "Why the F..." Very emotional over a mock draft
  11. I'm very lukewarm on Carlson. I just don't see him being a difference maker in the NFL. I view him ultimately as a solid option in two-TE sets.
  12. Dude, chill out. It was an interactive mock draft. The REASON Clady was an option is because he would probably be considered the best player available. We don't have a glaring need at OT, but it never hurts to add a great, athletic OL.
  13. The way things have been going on the board, I honestly thought this thread would lead to a discussion on whether or not Wilson could help fill our needs at WR.
  14. Basically there was a ridiculous thread where too many Bills fans found it feasible to sign Moulds, have him put on some weight, and be our tight end. I think that speaks for itself.
  15. Thanks for the head's up
  16. OK, a few years ago is when it happened with Minnesota. They did not get their pick in. Jacksonville skipped them and took Leftwich. Carolina skipped them and picked Gross. Then Minnesota made their pick of Kevin Williams. This won't work the same way with the first overall pick. Could they? Yeah, they COULD. But they won't. The backlash would be huge. The NFL would frown upon it big time. It just won't happen.
  17. If you're saying "just wait for other teams to pick," it's not going to happen. The reason is the agent for whoever they pick will still plan on his client being picked first overall.
  18. AstroBot, You think Patrick Lee might last until the third round?
  19. The fact that he even ran impresses me. I don't care that he ran slower times than the combine. The fact that he didn't sit on his awesome combine times says a lot about his character. I liked Sweed before. I like him more now.
  20. It's not a big deal, but if we're working on a contract for Lee Evans, something like this probably would help a little bit. But we have other needs to take care of before we take a second receiver. Another name to keep in mind is Cal WR Robert Jordan. He probably won't be drafted, but look for him in a Bills uni because he's Marshawn's cousin. You know how Marshawn loves family
  21. If someone called me at 12:02 AM and offered me millions of dollars, I think I could manage to wake up for a few minutes.
  22. Is it at all possible to see a member's mock draft WITHOUT "4th Round: FB Owen Schmitt." It's so predictable. Every single one. Jeez, you see a guy bash his helmet on YouTube and he's gotta be a Bill for some reason.
  23. I don't know about that. The best player available at 11 might be considered Rashard Mendenhall. Clearly, we're not going to take another RB.
  24. I honestly thought this was going to be a gag post. Bubba Franks is a mess. If we signed him as opposed to drafting a TE, I would have some serious questions about our front office.
  25. Nice breakdown. To be honest, the one I see most likely is the Bears at 14. Both the Broncos (12) and Panthers (13) are looking at OTs. That puts us in a nice position, ESPECIALLY if only Jake Long goes in the top ten. If somehow Clady is there for us at 11, you know he won't get past Denver. So maybe the Bears will trade up. Or even the Panthers leapfrog Denver if they like someone. Maybe even Houston. This is something I had not realized until now. I'm excited.
