I really like Chris Brown, but that is kind of an odd comparison. Polk was certainly below average, and not a standout special teams player. I know he was saying this because it is exactly #251, but it would have been more useful to mention some of the other players we've drafted in the seventh round more recently, such as WR Freddie Smith ('04), LB Mario Haggan ('03), DE Bryce Fisher ('99), TE Jay Riemersma ('96), RB Darick Holmes ('95), and S Kurt Schultz ('92). Do we have an award for most obvious post of the day?

It's highly unlikely that at his size he will ever be a number one in the NFL. Even Steve Smith has some meat on him. He'll be a nice number 2 option and serious threat on special teams.

I'm hoping he's still there in the third. With the clog of TEs at the top (Davis, Keller, Bennett and Rucker) it will be interesting to see who falls - if any of them - to us in the third if we decide to wait.

I've never been crazy about him. Always seems to be out of shape.

Seems like a good kid and all, but unfortunately I don't see it working. He is going to have to learn the FB position. I think that if the Bills draft a someone for the FB position, it'll be someone they know will block. Bad timing, I guess.

That's probably stiffer than I expected. But Goodell is all about setting examples. All I know is that our fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds all just got bumped up one pick. Nice!!

Fair enough. I think they like Crowell and likely wouldn't select someone to replace him. But that's just my opinion.

Are you crazy? They picked the captains before anyone was hurt. They could've selected multiple guys with experience over Crowell (Triplett, McGee and, most of all, Schobel) but elected to go with Crowell.

I didn't say we should take an offensive tackle. I said that he was listed as an option because he wouldn't been the best player available. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that.

Dude, he's a one of two defensive captains. They're not going to bench him for a rookie.

I wish we had seen more from him, but we haven't. Even at the end of last year, all he made was that interception. I still remember teams throwing on him, no problem. Unforunately, the potential he showed in college just hasn't translated. I don't think he's a lock to make the team this year. I think he would have been given more opportunities by the team to play if they believed in him. When we lost Webster, Greer quickly leapfrogged Youboty on the depth chart.

I would've really liked to add Quinn Gray. I was surprised at how limited the market was for him.

I just don't see where he'd fit. I see Mayo as a guy who will be starting in the NFL shortly. We already have Crowell and Posluzsny as young, starting LBs. We just signed Kawika Mitchell. I have to believe if we take a LB in the first or second round, it means we won't re-sign Crowell to a long-term deal after this season.

Not sure if there is much of a connection between Bradley and Edwards. I looked into it, but Bradley only played in two games during Trent's senior season. He caught some balls in the two years before, but nothing significant.

I totally agree. I'm not trying to throw stones, but I think most people on the board fantasize about guys like Hardy, Nelson and Thomas stepping in and making a big difference, putting up big numbers. It just doesn't work that way, usually. I would call Dwayne Bowe the exception, not the rule. Personally, from what I've researched, I think Limas Sweed has the best opportunity to make some difference in his rookie season. Maybe Kelly as well. But if you're looking for a a rookie to step in and be a true number 2, it probably won't happen. Like Badobilz said, it's going to be tough for any receiver selected in the second round or later to step in and be our number two over Reed or Parrish.

There is no one is this draft worth giving up a future first round pick for. I'm completely against that.

It's interesting to see how their isn't a consensus on which CB should be taken if we go with one outside of round one. Personally, I'd prefer Terrell Thomas in the third if he was there. But everyone seems to have someone else they like.

Since trades are nearly impossible to forecast, let's just assume everything stays the same on draft day for the Bills. What would your first three picks be? If you take a guy who probably won't be there, I'm sure it'll be made known. Mine would stay the same as my signature. I'd rather have Sweed a little lower, but I feel like he's the guy. 1. Limas Sweed 2. Lawrence Jackson 3. Martin Rucker

Don't get your hopes up, Johnson is moving up the boards. In general, the consensus top three are Ryan, Flacco and Brohm. After that, it gets a bit murky. I think Henne, Booty, and Johnson come in as the next three. Following the, Brennan, Woodson and Ainge. So Johnson may very well be selected in the third round.

If he's been lazy learning WR, forget about him doing a 180 to learning blocking. That'll never work.
