  1. Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking... two little Josh Reeds running out of the huddle
  2. The thing I like about Doucet is that he is an all-around solid player. He does everything well. The only area he lacks is height (at least in terms of what we're looking for). The thing I don't like about him is he reminds me a lot of Josh Reed coming out of LSU. Both guys were highly regarded, late-first to early second round picks. They both make tough catches and have run after the catch ability. Both have compact body types. Both ran a 4.55 coming out of college. Will likely never be a number one target in the NFL.
  3. That is interesting, but like Brandon said, "bust" is a subjective term. There may be less CBs that are considered busts, but that doesn't mean they're super stars. I think it's tough to judge just how good a CB really is. It seems easier to judge the progress of receivers.
  4. Boy, did Bishop bail on this thread fast or what? Face.
  5. Stuff like this scares me. I know there isn't much too it. No one truely knows what the Bills will do. But just tossing ideas like this concern me that I'll be pissed around 4:50 on April 26th.
  6. Eh, it's hard to keep up on everything. It's not like Jackson set the league on fire. He was a nice surprise for us fans here in Buffalo. Unless you're a fan of the team, I guess it'd be easy to make that mistake.
  7. This board did like Kelly (I was not amongst that group), but so did the Bills. Modrak said a lot of positive things about him at the combine, and Jauron said recently they have no problem with his knees. Also, the Bills - I believe - brought him to town for a pre-draft interview. There's always the possibility the team is blowing smoke, but it would appear the Bills have at least entertained the idea of drafting Kelly.
  8. Very nice mock. I feel basically the same way. If I didn't like Lawrence Jackson so much, I'd have the same first two picks as you. Also, THANK YOU for not including Schmitt. It's ridiculously repetitive on here.
  9. I agree that 99% of the people that don't have a clue what they're talking about. I'll lump myself into that category. But that doesn't take away from the fun of the draft. It's like Christmas, getting the 11th best (hopefully) player in college football as a nice, shiney gift. It may be in terms of talent, so that's why you need to make it fun and search for positives. For example, the more research I've done, the more I feel the mid-to-back end of the draft is probably better than most years. So what it is lacking in top end talent, it makes up for with nice quality for the later picks.
  10. This only confirmed my feelings on Kelly. I barely had him ranked third overall for WRs (Sweed is 1, Thomas is 2), but it was more like a three-way tie for third between him, Hardy and Jackson. This will make that ranking easier for myself.
  11. Bishop, you're missing the point. This is a forum for Bills fans to discuss the team and generally be fans of the team. Your post was just sad and bitter. I'm not sure if you expected to get a bunch of "right on!" replies, but that's not the tone of this board. You seem like the type of guy who sends his opinion into the Buffalo news for the Sunday section of mini-editorals. I skip those. Nothing of use there. Nor here.
  12. Well I don't think that's the right attitude. If something ever happens to the team, "Erik" will survive. If you want to be a downer and give the guy trying to do his job a hard time, whatever. But the Bills are in Buffalo now. I won't have the attitude that they're gone before anything even happens.
  13. To each his own; I'm perfectly happy as a Bills fan.
  14. I was gonna start a topic on the same thing, nice idea. My pick would be S Dajuan Morgan. Not because he is a safety like Whitner, but he'd be a left field pick in terms of where he seems to be ranked overall versus the 11 pick.
  15. He'll never last that long. I'll be surprised if he makes it past the third round now. Even the second is a possibility.
  16. Link This is ridiculous. Watch any of these draft videos with Green and Todd McShay. It looks like Green is directing traffic in NYC. How does this get on TV????
  17. Hey guys, what's up. What are we talking about over here...
  18. He was responding to claims about Marshawn, not James Hardy.
  19. I would be against it, only because I don't think we need a starter at LB, we just need some depth with a mid-to-later round pick.
  20. I don't really get that. Burress is a great receiver. Rogers was a bust. I'm sure there are other schools that have produced better wide receivers in the last decade. Florida State had Javon Walker, Laveranues Coles and Anquan Boldin. Miami had Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Roscoe Parrish and Santana Moss.
  21. We'd have to give up more than that. Even if they put a pretty nice value on Losman, we'd have to give up our 11th overall, our third round pick, a sixth rounder and Losman. I would guess in reality, the trade would be something like our first and third this year, plus next year's second (or MAYBE next year's third) and Losman. For the right player, it might be worth it. But to be honest, none of this will happen. No reason for the Chiefs to slide down for a deal involving Losman. They already have Losman in Croyle. Nothing to see here.
