  1. If everyone takes their allotted time, our selection will be read at 4:50 p.m. My guess is most teams will wait the full ten minutes this year due to the shortened time for picks.
  2. I hold a draft party for my friends to come over. Last year, I built this SWEET 4' x 6' draft board to list my top players at each position. It has room for 24 prospects at each position. I wasn't sure how well it was going to work, but it was a hit last year. Thankfully, my fiancee writes in all 240 prospects names for me because my childish hand-writing looks awful on the white board. I'll post some pics of the board when it's finished.
  3. I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but you do realize that for the rest of your life, the last weekend in April (draft weekend) will also be your anniversary weekend? This is not good news. I've gone so far as telling my fiancee there will be no baby making at the end of June because if the kid has a B-Day near the draft, my draft weekend is done for eternity. And yes, I have a problem with the draft.
  4. Fortunately, my grandfather got seats in the very beginning, so we're something like 18 on the seniority list. We've been very lucky with our seats.
  5. Merling is A LOT like Chris Kelsay. I think if we were going to go DE at 11, it would be more prudent to take a pass rusher like Harvey. Just my two cents.
  6. The thought of that scares the crap out of me. DRC is so raw right now, Moss would eat him up and spit him out. I don't know what he'll be capable of down the road, but at least for next year, Jabari Greer is a better option to line up against Moss than any corner in this draft.
  7. Personally, I don't care for Allen. But he is better than Schobel, no question. Allen is a game-changer. As much as he may irritate me, he pressures the QB much better than Schobel.
  8. Derrick Harvey Limas Sweed Chevis Jackson
  9. None of those guys will be Number 2s in this league.
  10. The Kelsay stuff never ceases to amaze me. He signed a new contract last year. They did not give him a nice signing bonus so they could trade him the next year.
  11. Totally. It's freakin' irritating how many Schmitt fan boys are on this board. I wouldn't have a problem if it was because they followed him and really liked him. But the truth is, they've seen his YouTube video smashing his helmet and they immediately think "this is a Buffalo guy... blah blah." Anyone that thinks we should draft a FB in the fourth or, as crazy as it sounds, the third, is severely over-emphasising the importance of a FB on the Bills and throughout the entire league.
  12. I am 23 myself, but I take pleasure in pounding the Fish. Even if you weren't a fan in the 70s and 80s, it's a Bills fan's duty to dislike the Fins whether it makes sense or not. The only team I'd take more pleasure in beating is the Patriots. And, well, I still think about the "31-0" pretty much on a daily basis. That's coming up on five years now. I'm hungry to beat the Pats.
  13. Schopp always seems "above" his job and everyone else. He thinks he has some unique, biting opinions, but they're nothing ground breaking. Generic sports mind; irritating delivery.
  14. The owners are going to play hardball. If they came out and said, "We're really worried about an uncapped year," that would be a concession on their part.
  15. On the Howard Simon Show this morning, Jeremy White said he heard an unsubstantiaed rumor that the Bills would be playing the Browns on Thanksgiving night. Discuss.
  16. Personally, I've been thinking about starting a Bryant Johnson thread.
  17. Come on dude, at least spell the name right
  18. I think it's more likely the Texans trade up to 11 with us for Mendenhall, if he's still there.
  19. I don't see why he would. His new team has a drastically different opinion of his price tag than he does. It would be very difficult to come to terms. Losman still believes he's a starter and wants a shot. Any new team likely views him as a second stringer with the ability to at least compete for a starting job. They won't pay him much. And why would Losman sign a small potatoes extension with a team when he's only a year away from hitting the open market to see if a better opportunity is out there?
  20. Oh no, I'm just saying if the roles were reversed and another team had a guy like Losman with one year left on his contract. It just doesn't seem feasible to spend a mid-round pick on the guy. A team would be better served using that pick to select a QB in the draft who will be locked up for at least three years. I think Losman has some value in this league, it's just the circumstances involved in a trade don't jive right now.
  21. I don't think it makes much sense for the Texans to just bail out of the first round because Mendenhall likely won't be there. If you're looking for a corner to make an early impact, I'd rather see us select McKelvin or Jenkins if either are available. Rodgers-Cromartie is very, very raw.
  22. I'm hearing a lot of buzz he's not going to be selected in the first round. I like him a lot, but I think the rest of the league might see a good but unspectacular player.
  23. Don't get your hopes up. Rodgers looked at least capable when he filled in for Favre. Would make much sense for any team, including Green Bay, to offer a third or even a fourth for a guy who at best could compete for a starting job, then will be up for a new deal after the season. If it were the Bills interested, we all know they couldn't sell a move like that to the fans. So why would another team be able to? Losman is better off being a Bill until his contract expires.
  24. “We exercised extreme patience with regard to the trade for Stroud,” Overdorf said. “It was a total team effort, starting with Mr. Wilson. . . .We had options available to us. We had a couple things that you probably wouldn’t believe, which we thought we were going to move forward with, but that we discovered just weren’t going to be in our best interest to do.” That was the most intriguing part of the article to me. I wonder what those things were that we wouldn't believe.
