  1. I think it is a very realistic scenario that the Bills could trade maybe their first and fourth (non-compensatory) for the Chiefs' first (17) and second.
  2. If anything, it's better for us. Now Philly has more ammo to trade up!!
  3. In the days leading up to last year's draft, I built this big board with two other Bills die hards (my brother and father) in six hours over two days. It took a lot longer than I had anticipated, but it was well worth it. I rank the top 24 prospects at each position. As each player is selected, I erase their name and replace it with the team that selected him. Fortunately, my fiancee is very understanding and writes out all 240 names for me (her hand writing is much nicer). I rank the prospects using information available to me and my own personal opinions. It was a hit at my draft party last year and it's ready to go for Saturday. I figured I would share with all of you fellow Bills fans. Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 Picture 4 I could not figure out how to imbed the phots into the thread, so I just posted links.
  4. You're just being silly now. Crowell has been starting for three years now. He was near the top in tackles last year. He would be a nice starter on most teams.
  5. I think that's a pretty good deal for the Titans. Even if he produces a little in Dallas, the fact that the Titans could even get that much is a success.
  6. How'd ya know he lives on LeBrun? I live there, too, and see him all the time. Didn't realize that was well known, lol
  7. I think you're getting all the picks mixed up now. The Chiefs are the one's picking 5th and 17th now. They no longer have Allen nor do they have a DT named Williams.
  8. Um, you do realize it was also for one less year, right?
  9. Because Allen told the Chiefs he would not sign an extension with them.
  10. Eh, it'd be nice to think that. But the Seahawks have known they're going in a different direction for a while. If that was there intention, it would have been more appropriate to release him closer to March 1st when more dollars were available.
  11. I don't know if I want a player that needs to be told not to hit a woman.
  12. I don't think it has ever been done. I believe the reason is because the team would rather wait until draft day in case some team offers them a last second deal for the pick. For the Dolphins, it was clear no one was trading up that high without a clear-cut number one prospect.
  13. Nah, the team will like the commentators talk them up for the ten minutes. It seems pretty standard. When you have the worst record in the league, I think they like hearing positive things nationally for a change.
  14. Oh, no offense taken. And I'm not even saying drop down to the late teens. I'm saying I don't see much value based on these prospects until 20 and beyond. Again, that's just me, I don't watch hours of game film. But that's the feeling I get.
  15. For some reason, I can't envision Clady in Philly. I can see Williams, Albert or Otah, but not Clady. Not sure why.
  16. I don't think falling has anything to do with it. I think we'll hear it referenced 17 times by 3:05 p.m.
  17. I have gone over this draft time and time again. I keep trying to pick the guy I want at 11. I honestly cannot make a selection. I love Sweed's character, McKelvin's playmaking ability, Harvey's pure pass rush ability, Thomas' potential, etc. However, I just don't want to take any of them at 11. I know trading down is much easier said than done. It will probably end up with the Bills not finding a dance partner and just selecting the person they've liked best all along, regardless of whether or not it is a reach. But am I alone here? I get into the draft shoulder-deep each year. I just think 11 is a bad spot to pick right now. Unless something crazy happens and someone falls out of the top ten, I just can't see myself being satisfied with our pick. It has nothing to do with the Bills; it has to do with the state of this year's draft. I'm really looking forward to our second, third and fourths. *Disclaimer: I know that McKelvin and Harvey very well might not even be there at 11. I'm saying if they are, I still would rather select them later because I don't feel like they're worth that pick.
  18. I'm not saying we shouldn't go CB and WR in rounds one and two, but if that's the plan, I'd probably rather go Sweed/Thomas at 11 then Cason/Flowers in the second round. That's just me, though.
  19. Yeah, I would be pretty disappointed with that draft, no offense man
  20. Yeah, so hopefully we can land him in the second round. From a sheer athletic standpoint, I would like McKelvin. Jenkins doesn't fit what we're doing, and Rodgers-Cromartie is too raw for my tastes. I guess that leaves Cason and Flowers as second rounders to help against the run, and Charles Godfrey, Terrell Thomas and Tyvon Branch as possible third rounders. I would be happy with any of the latter five corners.
  21. Well that's all well and good, but if you are looking for a CB to help us improve against the run, it won't be one of the top three CBs likely to selected around 11.
  22. Doesn't five years seem short for a first overall pick?
  23. Sorry buddy, I don't see that happening in a million years. I don't think they want one highly selected rookie at WR, let alone two. They don't have much of a choice right now with our lineup, though. I think that's the only reason we're considering one in the first or second.
  24. I know it appears like this should have been a slam dunk for the Bengals, but it's not. Look at it like this. Let's say the Bengals use the Redskins' first rounder this year for Sweed, Kelly or Hardy. They would have to hope any of them would become as good a receiver as Johnson. So basically all they would be gaining is a third rounder next year. In terms of production, it probably won't help them much. So the trade simply comes down to what's more important: Ridding Johnson of your team or keeping him and seeing how that unfolds.
  25. With all due respect, that outlook on the draft is INSANE. There will be enough nice Saturday's in a year for me to get my fix of that. Draft weekend is only once a year. The idea of missing it makes me nauseous. It's a horror I don't think I can comprehend.
