  1. He needs to be on an NFL roster for two years to forgo his time to be served overseas.
  2. I really like Omen. I think he will be a nice weapon to spell Lynch in the red zone if necessary. A center or depth on the OL would have been nice, but I can't argue with selecting a guy with Omen's abilities in the sixth round.
  3. I think it's just because there really is no need to vent. The Bills spend some much time and money on scouting and we just read web sites. Yeah, maybe talking heads like Kellen Davis, but apparently the other 31 teams don't like him, either. So I don't think it's worth freaking out. I think some people are convinced that the Bills select players with the idea of pissing off the fans, haha
  4. I think a lot of this is special teams driven. You have to remember, we lost Wire, Haggen, Stamer and Aiken. We need to replenish our special teams. I think it's a good thing that the team is conscious of this.
  5. If the Bills start listing to what the fans think, as you say, then I would burn up MY tickets.
  6. Why not. Similar measureables to Terrance McGee coming out.
  7. The other thing I forgot to mention was that they never summarized the trades. They did it for the first few. After that, they couldn't be bothered to address it.
  8. It is beyond me that the talking heads could talk about how good O'Connell is for five minutes but fail to mention that HE WILL NEVER BE A STARTER IN NEW ENGLAND. What a terrible pick. Who spends a third round pick on a guy that you hope will never ever play a down for you?
  9. I really wish NFL Network was available here on digital cable. Hopefully a deal can be reached in time for next year's draft.
  10. Truthfully, I didn't like the speed of day one today. But that aside, I thought ESPN did a terrible job. I've never had a problem with their coverage because I'm used to it, it feels right. But this year, they stopped going to the podium after round one. Half of the picks in round two happened during commercials. They wouldn't get to highlight packages until at least five more picks passed by. They would should guys on cameras set up in the houses talking on their cell phone and smiling, then they didn't even end up getting selected at that pick. When the Bills were selecting James Hardy, I do not care what kind of ball Joe Flacco throws. There will be hours and hours for them to rehash that tomorrow during the later rounds. I thought Steve Young was awful. Especially when they headed to the podium for the Cardinals picks and during the silence for dramatic effect, he just HAD to blurt out "running back." And obviously, he was wrong. I was thrilled with the Bills draft today. I just thought the coverage was the worst yet. It makes me wonder what exactly is going on at the NFL Network.
  11. Nice find. That makes me that much happier. I could totally see Hardy going to Pittsburgh. It would not have been a surprising selection whatsoever.
  12. I think Kellen Davis could have a lot of upside and be worked into the TE spot. I think Rucker will struggle to transition from Missouri's offense to the NFL. Jeramichael Finley wouldn't be a bad option. If we were looking at Cottam, Stevens, Tamme or the other Finley, I'd say don't bother.
  13. Nah, you're blowing it out of proportion. He's still a rookie that hasn't proven anything. If we draft Thomas at 11, I fully expect the Bills to re-sign Evans. Or at least tag him for a year to see what we have in Thomas. But Thomas won't assume he's the number one guy.
  14. Seems like the direction, to me. Unless we get our socks knocked off with a trade offer, I expect to hear a press conference from the Bills stating, "We didn't want to risk losing our guy." I'm not crazy about it, but I'm not upset, either.
  15. Yeah, I don't think that's a great deal for the Dolphins. This is the first selection in the fourth round. Before they moved round three to Sunday, that was a very valuable selection. Despite the schedule change, that's still a pretty nice selection for two bodies. They have some name recognition, but that's about it.
  16. Yeah, if I'm a very tolerant fan, but if we select a TE at 11, I'm walking out of my draft party. It won't happen, but that's what I'd have to do.
  17. My gut tells me they will pick Devin Thomas. I can't say who I truely want until I see how the first 10 picks shake out. I would be happy with Harvey though, for sure. Haha, you better believe Excel was used. I spend the month leading up to the draft moving around names on a spreadsheet. Things actually changed a little bit for me, up to the last week. Nothing major, just a few mid-round names. And I dropped Manningham significantly.
  18. I agree. I love what Bennett brings to the table.
  19. haha, I was expecting someone would call me out on that... I don't know why, I have just had this conviction for months that Ellis is going to be a better pro. I still think Dorsey will be awesome. I just think Ellis is going to be dominant in the NFL. I'll be sure to pass on the compliment... I'm sure she'll appreciate it since she writes all the names but doesn't reap any benefits. Come draft time, she she steers clear.
  20. I must say, I like this idea. Plan on it Well I can't speak for everyone else, but I'd love to see pictures of the draft board. I mean, dry erase is always a good time. But magnetic stripes? That's just awesome. Sound like a sweet board. Similarly, I made a trek to Home Depot. The board was originally so large, that when I tried to bring it to my car, it was so windy that is almost acted as a sail, haha. I probably should have checked, but of course the board didn't fit into my Jeep. So, needless to say, it was an adventure.
  21. Believe it or not, I'm not really into doing mocks. I mean, I've done them in the past, but each year I realize you cannot predict trades, so they pretty much ruin the whole thing. This year, my buddies and I may try doing a live mock draft so we can adjust on the fly to trades or just a standard old mock draft. It's always fun to wager, haha. Keeps things interesting when the Cardinals are on the clock. I have not even attempted a mock draft yet. I'll put one together either tomorrow after work or before the draft on Saturday.
  22. Well, things get a little hairy this time of year. But everyone pretty much understands the draft is a passion of mine. Oh yeah, I figured last year I should try to find another use for it. It worked really good. The only downside was that I kept all of the pics on the board through the season so when I went to erase it for the draft board, it was very difficult to get the names off. Lesson learned for this year, though.
