  1. It didn't appear that way in the Giants game
  2. I used to really enjoy WGR when they were up against WNSA. Now, I can't even bear 15 minutes on the ride to work. I have XM Radio to get me through.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought we were running Williams' 46 defensive scheme, not a cover 2 back then. I think he was uncomfortable with sliding to the outside.
  4. I remember the thread, too, but a few months back? We drafted him 13 days ago.
  5. This whole thing just irritates me. I don't know if they realize it, but the NFL always sounds like they're on the Patriots side when they make statements, like the one from Aiello today. Is taking a first round pick away from them really a fair punishment for using a competitive advantage that lasted 7 years?
  6. I don't see any way they receive more punishment. If people think Goodell is going to take away more picks because there is video evidence dating back to '02, rest assured he will say that Belichick has already told him the cheating has been going on that long, he just never understood the rule. I would be absolutely shocked if anything else happens. I think Anthony Hargrove has a better chance of being our starting QB in '08.
  7. I don't think he plays in the NFL anymore
  8. Truthfully, I think people on the board have this misconception about the fullback position. Schonert did say we'd use the FB again, but they still like their tight ends. I don't think it's going to be something we see every first and second down. So they will only keep one FB on the roster, and Barnes has a much more likely chance of being that FB than Viti. Viti has a better opportunity to make the practice squad.
  9. I didn't think that question would even be considered for a thread.
  10. I don't mean to seem naive, but what exactly was this?
  11. First place in an online poll!!
  12. That's a good point. Really, what's the difference between a sixth or seventh round QB as opposed to a UDFA? Whether they were drafted or signed, it's still a shot in the dark at that point.
  13. I think Bowen and Viti are a better combo to have than Felton. Just my opinion.
  14. True, but I don't think you should be calling the shots during the draft. Look what happened to Eli Manning
  15. We'll have no problem signing Hardy. McKelvin could be a little more difficult because we'll need some of the top 10 to sort out.
  16. I'm a huge fan of the draft, but can anyone explain to me why teams - such as Tampa Bay in this case - bother to call him and say we're deciding between you and another guy? I don't see the benefit. Even if you want both of them and hope to trade up for the other, why would you tell the guy this because then he knows your his second choice? I just don't see why a team does this. Just make your decision then call the player.
  17. Here's the thing: I would give him more credit and say he's doing his job IF he hadn't bragged about allegedly fleecing the Bills. Once he said that, his act could no longer have the same effect on teams, especially when they show the shot of him handing him the cell phone after the shot is on them. Good question, haha. I was just checking out some videos on YouTube. Remembered how I had a wave of panic when they showed DeSean Jackon when we were on the clock.
  18. I watched our time on the clock in the first round again on Youtube. They showed DeSean Jackson, then Devin Thomas. It looked like we might be picking Thomas because when they showed him, he was handed a cell phone. I did not realize it at the time, but we saw Thomas after he was drafted, and sure enough Drew Rosenhaus was in the room with him. So clearly, Rosenhaus was trying to pull the same McGahee act by making it look like Thomas was receiving other calls. I just found this interesting. I don't care for Rosehaus and I was glad to see the best he could do this year was a second round pick.
  19. Stuff like that never happens in the NFL.
  20. Obviously the playoffs are the goal for 2008. It's easier said than done, so I figure we should take a look at the landscape: Playoff Guarantees New England Patriots Indianapolis Colts Solid Bets San Diego Chargers Pittsburgh Steelers Let's just say those are your four division winners. After that, the Bills would have to compete with the following teams for the remaining two playoff spots: Jacksonville Jaguars Cleveland Browns Denver Broncos Tennessee Titans Truthfully, I'm not 100% confident, because I really like what the Jaguars are doing and I think they will be there. So between us, Cleveland, Denver and Tennessee, anything can happen. What are you guys thinking of those teams?
