It's not that far fetched. If the league truly wants to reach out internationally, this would be an easy step. It's a lot easier to have team in Toronto than London, logistically. The owners wouldn't necessarily be eating the fee; they just wouldn't assess it. Kind of like how if someone wants to move the Jaguars to Los Angeles, there won't be a $900 million relocation fee. If it is in the best interest of the league overally, they will do it.

I'm not sure about that. I know this is a silly Hamden thread, but the truth is we'd be in deep trouble if we had to throw in Hamden or Baker. I think they will likely sign a veteran QB (Charlie Batch, Kurt Warner or if he falls off this year, Jeff Garcia).

Whether we keep four RBs or six CBs, they're gonna have to make a spot somewhere and it will likely start with Hamden

How can you call our braintrust stupid for selecting a running back in the sixth round that scored 37 TDs (albeit Division 1AA) rather than an undersized overachiever who played at a big school?

I'm going to be heading up, too. I haven't gone to a practice where I had to take the bus (my friend lived down there and we just did a tuck and roll at the entrance), but this year I'll have to park and use the bus. The past two years, I went to the side of the field opposite the fence and walked right up, no problems. I'm not a big autograph seeker, but last year a bunch of guys came over to our side after practice (Lynch, Posluszny, Losman, Edwards, etc.).

Pitcock was Tim Anderson's identical twin. I'm not surprised that it is turning out this way. I am surprised he was selected in the third round.

Actually, I've had several idiots ask why I was wearing an OJ jersey. And typically, those people don't even know who Ko Simpson is. The conversation usually doesn't last very long.

I think it would be an excellent choice. First of all, it would be obscure which I like. Second on all, he just got the new contract and the coaching staff seems to love him. You should get three seasons MINIMUM out of it. You can't say that about everybody. I really like my Ko Simpson jersey, but I'm going to need him to step it up.

He's actually a very similar back to Maroney. Basically the same size. Both physical. He'll help out a little here and there, but I wouldn't characterize him as a weapon.

You could make the claim that Parrish fits that bill (maybe two inches shorter and ten pounds lighter), but you can't say he would be able to effectively replace Evans.

I have given this a lot of thought, and at this moment I believe Lee Evans is the most irreplaceable player on this team. If there was one person that we could not lose right now for an entire season, is Evans. Now, I am big on strong offensive line play. I don't even necessarily believe we have to re-sign Evans in the offseason. But in terms of what we're going to do this season, I think it would absolutely crush us to lose him. If Kirk Chambers had to replace Jason Peters, that would be terrible. However, I feel like even a below average left tackle to replace him would allow us to occasionally do something. If Lee Evans went down, we would be stuck with a guy that can't get off the line of scrimmage (Parrish), a mediocre possession receiver (Reed), and a rookie wide receiver (Hardy). Our offense would not be able to run the ball with defenses constantly putting 8 men in the box, and our passing game would be even less effective than last year. I don't expect Evans to put up big numbers this year. Maybe only 70 catches. But his threat - I believe - is the most important part of this team right now. Next year I might say Peters after a year of seasoning for Hardy. But not right now.
