  1. You have to sign in/register at that link. Here is a direct link to the video... http://www.billszone.com/media/video/hlvid...at.bills.hl.mp4
  2. What world do you live in where that scenario seems plausible?
  3. I think he will play in Week 2, regardless of conditioning
  4. I agree, Dick Jauron doesn't strike me as the FU kind of guy.
  5. I'm pretty sure IR is it. No post season no nothing.
  6. No, that'd be if they signed him before opening day. They could sign him after Week 1 and they wouldn't be on the hook for the whole season.
  7. What purpose would it serve for Baltimore to bench Flacco after annointing him the starter, to throw in JP Losman as QB? And with Chicago, maybe Losman is a better QB than Orton or Grossman, but not if he's got two days to learn the offense. This isn't Madden here.
  8. Rosey Colvin was released by Houston. He's got some experience in Jauron's system and is familiar with the division from his time with the Pats.
  9. I don't want this to fall completely into the "I've heard of him category," but what about John Lynch? I know he's a FS, but he was working with the Pats at LB and he's very familiar with the Tampa 2 D.
  10. What team would wait until two days before the season starts to trade for a starting QB?
  11. Well, then I guess you missed this aspect of the story: Tatum Bell Released
  12. There is nothing to even be worried about. Yes, it sucks that Peters has not reported. But he will be back, at some point. As for Evans, if we don't get a deal done, we'll just slap the franchise tag on him. Great receivers in their prime NEVER hit the market.
  13. Actually, that was Ruben Rivera. He's been out of baseball for several years.
  14. What a cake walk the first four weeks!!!
  15. Nice catch... I don't get SI, but hopfully someone will post it here if the story gets on the net
  16. RUDI’S CRAZY DAY IN DETROIT Posted by Mike Florio on September 2, 2008, 9:17 p.m. EDT A strange thing happened to running back Rudi Johnson when he visited with the Detroit Lions on Monday. Someone stole his stuff. Seriously. Specifically, and as we’re told by a reliable source (i.e., not the person who told Mort that Joey Harrington had agreed to terms with the Ravens on Monday, or the person who told John Clayton that Todd Bouman had agreed to terms with the Ravens on Tuesday), Johnson left his bags outside CEO Matt Millen’s office while he met with team officials and, ultimately, worked out a deal with the team. So when Johnson came back to get his bags, they were nowhere to be found. Johnson and Millen were stumped. Enter the eye in the sky. The team checked the videotapes generated by the team’s in-house surveillance system, and they quickly identified the culprit. So who might it have been? None other than Tatum Bell, who lost his gig with the Lions after Rudi arrived. Per the source, Bell took the bags to the house of a female acquaintance. When confronted on the matter, Bell offered up some cockamamie story that he thought the bags belonged to someone he knew. The girl, however, said that she hadn’t seen Bell in several months and he showed up out of the blue and asked her to keep the bags for a while. Johnson has retrieved the bags, and it’s our understanding that charges won’t be pressed. Tatum apparently didn’t know that he was being monitored. Fortunately, the displaced running back wasn’t Najeh Davenport. That has got to be the most bizarre/hysterical story I've ever heard. On a side note, Tatum Bell was released and I've heard of him.....
  17. Hey sweet, another Jason Peters thread... They've always got original takes
  18. You guys are ridiculous. Rather than saying, "We're the team to beat, no one is going to stop us," he decided Buffalo was the next best team in the division and said they are the team to beat. Just a simple comment, no harm done.
  19. That just about says it all
  20. I didn't realize the Indiana Hoosiers were a football factory.
  21. Granted, a lot of guys will do whatever it takes to keep a job, but Murphy has really done everything, in the mold of George Wilson, Jon Corto, and even Jason Peters. He was brought in, cut, brought back after the Everett injury, was mostly inactive, asked to put on weight to player tackle, gets hurt, and now is being asked to come back and play TE. That's got to be why they haven't cut him. Clearly they have some loyalty to the guys who do as they ask.
  22. I'm pretty sure he was cut by us. I think he re-signed with us last offseason, then got cut before free agency started this year.
  23. Yeah, I was a little surprised Murphy dodged IR. Maybe they figured the guys they cut they could do without, and they'll just use the time it takes Peters to report to monitor Murphy. But I don't really see Murphy getting picked up anywhere, nor contributing much to the Bills this year.
  24. When Peters comes back and we need to put him on the active roster, who will get cut? Obviously, it depends on when he comes back and what positions we're healthy at, but I will nominate the following players: QB Gibran Hamden WR Justin Jenkins OT Kirk Chambers OT Matt Murphy OG Duke Preston OG Jason Whittle DE Copeland Bryan OLB John Corto S Bryan Scott S John Wendling
