It's been 10 long years since the Monday Night Football crew made their way to Orchard Park. This week, they're back. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to witness the Ralph in the primetime glow of Monday night. I'm always hopeful, even if uncertain, about the outcome of each game. While the quality of the performance on the field may be a question mark, what is never uncertain is the quality of a Bills fan tailgate at Hammer's Lot. This time, we get all day for eating and, most importantly, drinking before kickoff. Who'll be at Hammer's lot Monday? Any of the out of town crew making the trip for this one? I'll be driving in from the Democratic People's Republic on Sunday, and (as usual) rolling into Hammer's lot with @mrags for the pregame festivities on Monday morning. All I wanna know is...

If I know @mrags like I think I know @mrags, we'll be in the lot well before 9am. Gotta be there for breakfast. I'd be supremely disappointed if I didn't get some of @mead107's famous breakfast stromboli.

Unfortunately, I won't be at the home opener this year. I'm bummed I'll have to miss it, but I had to choose between the opener and MNF vs the pats* on 10/29. Monday night at the Ralph was the obvious choice. Hopefully most of the usual crew will be back for MNF and we can do it up with a nice looooong tailgate before the game. Have fun, guys. Drink a beer or 17 for me.

Most accurate, too. It couldn't have landed in a better spot at a better time than right at the end of the play at the feet of the players.

How many times do you hear of people getting drunk at events like football games, only to then hurt someone, intentionally or otherwise? These tailgaters are out, supporting their team, having their own kind of fun, and not hurting anybody (except maybe themselves and a few folding tables). I find it entertaining and, as long as they aren't messing with anybody else's good time, who cares? There are much worse things they could be doing. I'm from CA and have lived in the suburbs of Boston for a decade. Bills fans aren't being made into a laughingstock over this stuff. All of the other fans I talk to everyday think it's awesome to have that level of "passion" at a football game, and never stop going on about how they HAVE to get out to Buffalo for a game someday just to experience the atmosphere in the stadium and the parking lots. Let the kids have their fun. They aren't doing anything to you and aren't causing problems for anyone else.

This is the team that was tanking for draft position and would be lucky to win five games... at least that's what all of the "experts" said. Instead, they claw their way to a winning record and break a drought that had become a black cloud hanging over a franchise, a fanbase, and a city. That doesn't mean they don't need to get better and accomplish more, but they fought hard to prove all of their doubters wrong. I'm damn proud to be a fan of this team.

I was a big fan of WWF as a teen in the 90s during the attitude era. I remember watching this match. Seeing this video absolutely made my day.

Heard on SiriusXM NFL Radio from Pat Kirwan: He said he spoke to his source in Buffalo about Shady's ankle. Source said, "If that ankle is sprained, he ought to sprain the other one, too." Expects him to play and to be very effective.

Can't make it. As much as I'd love to watch this game surrounded by my Bills brothers and sisters, there is just too much going on to swing a trip all the way into Boston.

The wife and I will be there. No tailgate for us this time, though. We won Putnam club access, on field passes, and the opportunity to hang with Andre Reed in a fundraiser raffle the Boston Bills Backers put on for Andre's Boys & Girls Club Read with Reed 83 reading program.

The one thing you MUST do is get the QB's name right. She repeatedly called Tyrod Taylor "McCoy" all game long.

Was thinking about heading down there next week but, obviously that's not gonna happen now.

Thanks to the Bills Backers of Boston, and my wife for buying the winning raffle ticket, I'll be in a luxury box at Gillette Stadium watching the Bills take on the Pats* as a special guest of HOF WR Andre Reed. On field passes, VIP access, autographed photo, and the chance to watch a Bills game with Mr. Over-the-middle! Merry effing Christmas!
