  1. Why would they care about what he does in space? Its what happens on the football field that counts.
  2. I agree with him being honest. And the fact that he came out and said that means that he's probably telling the truth about what he knew. Usually, its an ambiguous comment about waiting for the facts when really, they're waiting for the teams attorneys/PR people to write up a statement for him to read. My guess is that Angelo waited way too long to bring this to the attention of the team and now, they're going to move on without him. It's ashame because he's in a contract year and has been a solid player for us. I really don't think we would have resigned him after this year, but now, he's going to have a hard time finding a team that will give him a big contract next year. I hope that more light is shed on the subject today.
  3. 1) Wake up around 6 or 7 2) check Sportcenter / Fantasy team / TSW to make sure the world is right (my world, at least) 3) drag my girlfriend out of bed and down to the Public House in Philly around 1130 4) set up Bills flags, decorations, tables, and stereo in the bar and start drinking $2 Blue's 5) watch the game with anywhere between 50-150 Bills fans that live in Philly and continue to drink Blue's and eat wings 6) This is where its up in the air. If they lose, then its usually tear down and go home. Otherwise, I stick around and watch the other games. Either way, I can't wait for Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. It was a toss up between that one or this one with his "murse" on his shoulder. Man purse or this one Man purse 2
  5. Thats weird that its reporting as a foot injury. In this picture, it looks like he's got some sort of sling on his arm: Brady Injury
  6. Bills 27 She-Hawks 10 Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Not at all. After the way that we played last season, our play this season will be a fluke until we start to prove ourselves consistently. Even though alot of people are calling for us to be a good team this year, it doesn't mean that we're good yet. Playing well in two straight games (albeit preseason) is at the very least a good start in the right direction.
  8. One of them did actually say it when they were announcing the lineups vs the Colts (or Coats). They said something like "Robert Royal, one of the finest TE's in the game."
  9. I think Evans gets extended by next week. He's played well in the preseason and seems to be ready to have a big season. It'd be foolish to let him play this year and be a top 10 receiver (which he's capable of) and then have to resign him in the offseason. We can probably all predict how that will go
  10. The problem with that is that the agent doesn't know either. Jason Peters may not know, either. Has he been shoving around 300lb tackling dummies while they run at him? If he hasn't, then he has no idea how his injured sports hernia will react to that kind of pressure in a game. Its not a broken bone that an xray can answer, only playing time in a real game (or even a preseason game) will tell everyone if he's the same beast that he was prior to the injury. Its one thing to be hiding injuries (which I seriously doubt is happening here), but if nobody knows if he's really healed for game time situations, how is the team supposed to dish out that sort of money blindly? They can't put a clause in the contract that says, "If you reactivate your injury before week 2 then the contract is void."
  11. I live in Philly and also have Comcast. I watched the game on NFLN, too, but I pay $5/mo for NFLN plus NHL, NCAA channels (about 10 total). I could never watch NFLN until I started paying for it. I have the HD box and HD service, so maybe they only charge if you want the HD, but I don't know. I pay separate for that as well!
  12. What I found strange while I was watching the teams run out was that the crowd really didn't seem into it, even though they were at the first game in a new stadium. One of the horrible announcers (I think it was Deion) even commented that it was "about to get real loud", and then it didn't when the Colts ran out. It was a packed house at a new stadium, and it didn't really seem like there was much excitement in the air. I think that alot of it had to do with the fact that it was still a preseason game, but I expected more for the opening of a new stadium. It will be interesting to see what type of turnout the Colts have once their dynasty is in a rebuilding phase.
  13. I watched the whole game last night, and they looked very flat. DeSean Jackson (who looks like Roscoe on the field) ran 1 punt back for a TD and almost another if not for a penalty. They also had a kickoff returned for a TD against them. The Eagles receivers (who's ace last night was again DeSean Jackson) basically had their way with the first team defense. Obviously its just preseason, and Brady wasn't in there, but it was good to see their starting defense/special teams get beat down in front of the hometown crowd.
  14. Yeah!!! Welcome to the board, too!
  15. Combine those injuries with a cross country trip and a opening day Buffalo crowd, and I like our chances to take the opener from a 2007 playoff team
  16. Dick's more concerned about plugging up the holes. To him, size doesn't really matter as much as performance does. It wouldn't surprise me to see a Johnson in that gap come opening day.
  17. Where's the link? How many coaches never made it to 100 games coached? Who is ahead of him and what are all of their winning %'s? It seems like you're giving 1/2 the story, which is usually the norm for this type of post.
  18. I agree completely. Last year at this time, he was digging in next to Larry Tripplett, and the 2nd year player Kyle Williams. McCargo is just coming into his 3rd year in the league. I'd say that the first part of this season is really where he'll need to show the coaches that he can hack it in this defensive scheme, or else he should see his playing time reduced and probably be on the chopping block/bench next offseason.
  19. JP = Todd Collins. It might just take him 13 years before he actually gets "it". The difference is that we got Todd in the 2nd Round and JP in the first. Both are busts. JP should be a career backup because his erratic downfield play compliments a real NFL QB well, in the case that he gets into the game.
  20. I haven't read it yet, but it looks like a pretty good one. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Bills...32728540/?itm=1 Synopsis An Inside Look at the Bills' Greatest Generations Billy Shaw. Joe Ferguson. Fred Smerlas. Before the days of multi-million dollar contracts for unproven players, there were men like these. Men who built one of America's most storied football franchises without expecting lucrative endorsement deals or $80 autograph fees. In The Bills Are Due, Rob Thompson pays tribute to the generations of players who made the Buffalo Bills-and, by extension, western New York-what it is today. From the team's AFL days right through the '90s, it's all here-the precision passing and thrilling touchdowns, as well as agonizing defeats-told by the players themselves. In interviews with legends like Mike Stratton, Jack Kemp and more, fans also catch a rare, behind-the-scenes and sometimes odd life as a Bill But this is more than a recounting of the team's adolescence and memorable moments. Thompson's personal reminiscences of his own youth brilliantly capture the historical milieu of the team's "golden era"-and remind readers why they first fell for New York's beloved Bills. Through it all, Thompson reveals the often-painful experiences of Bills in post-retirement-and urges NFL and players' union leadership to establish equitable standards of compensation for the early gridiron warriors.
  21. He's NFL filler. He shouldn't scare or entice anyone. Pretty much every team that's played against him in the past few years has had him figured out. He'll end up on his back and out for the season with Miami.
  22. I've been to the Shoe for a Ohio St vs Michigan game, and I'd say that a louder game was in Beaver Stadium and it was Penn State vs Ohio St 2 years ago for the 'College Gameday' night game. It set the all time record for attendance at PSU, that won't be broken due to new seating laws, unless they build more seats again. I don't think that I'll ever be in a louder place for a game/event than that night!
  23. I think that the waterfront is the best way to go, given the way that the rest of the NFL is going with new stadiums. Most are impressive by themselves, but the newer ones also seem to have an aspect to them that sort of emphasizes the cities' waterways & skylines. I'd love the idea of developing Grand Island into the home of the Bills since you'll have 2 skylines & the waterways surrounding it, but it would be tough to do.
