Vikings testing waters with Tarvaris Jackson
Billadelphia replied to Billadelphia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They're saying that its probably not going to be more than a 5th rd pick for him. That seems reasonable, but I think I'd rather have the pick next year. -
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...800&id=3708 It will probably never happen (because the Bills are racists ), but for conversation sake, who would you feel more comfortable with backing up Edwards this year, Fitzpatrick or Jackson? Both started about half of the season last year for their teams and although neither really lit it up, they both were servicable. Personally, at this point I'd stick with Fitzpatrick only because he's already had some playing time with the offense and Jackson hasn't lived up to his hype of being a starter, so much so that the Vikes went out and got TWO qbs this year.

I went a couple years back to Playa del Carmen and rented a jeep and drove down the coast. Some awesome scenery, seclusion once you get a few miles away, and some great snorkeling. The beaches are like something you'd see in a movie (as long as you stay away from Cancun). The beaches on Cozumel were cool, too, but kind of crowded when we were there. The best day that we had was when we found a great little beach bar, got some food, drank beer all day, and found a local who sold us a joint. We sat on the beach for about 8 hrs and mingled with the locals and just relaxed.

I think that the sentence is perfectly fair. No permit to carry, discharging in public. Say what you want about Vick, but his actions were not going to get anybody killed. Stallworth made out like a bandit, but Vick/Burress got what was coming to them, IMO. And to the poster above who was talking about Harrison, you're absolutely right. That was a serious meltdown of the legal system, and IMO, so was the Stallworth case.

Our group meets in Center City for the games. Its about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic. You could also take the bus from West Chester into 69th St. and then take the subway to the bar in Center City where we get together. www.dpbbb.net There's also a group in Wilmington, DE that would be pretty close to West Chester. PM me or email me if you want some more details.

Dog owners defend coyote after dog killed
Billadelphia replied to millbank's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I shoot anything that looks cockeyed at me, which includes most coyotes. In fact, I can't think of a situation where I wouldn't shoot a coyote if I had the chance or a reason. -
I have a 3 inch piece of the goalpost from the win against the Jets in '88 (My grandpa got it from an employee of the Pig 95.7 radio station in Olean) and a friend of mine gave me two seats from when they put the Jim Kelly boxes in, but they were lost in a fire

Why wasn't Trent wearing a Ridell revolution or a
Billadelphia replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a friend who sells for Riddell, and he says that most NFL players have better helmets than the Revolution already. In fact, most are completely custom made for each individual player so that it fits comfortably and provides the best protection for each player. The Revolution is more for NCAA (although they too are starting to move to custom helmets at some of the bigger schools) and for high school. Schutt's are garbage compared to Riddell, from what he says -
Lol.... Mitchell just earned his paycheck!

A Few Thoughts About The Game.....

Exactly right! When was the last time? This was a character game, and we passed with flying colors. Everybody celebrate! Our division schedule starts next week, and I'm pumped up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

I would really like this to be the week that the game is over!!! -
For anyone who is up, Boomer is doing his piece from Buffalo in a couple minutes on SportCenter. I'm sure it will be on throughout the weekend though.

How smart does stockpiling DBs look now?
Billadelphia replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I'll take the two rookies over Jim Leonard and George Wilson any day. At least we have a chance instead of just playing damage control when injuries happen. What sucks about the injuries to the secondary is that I think that we can expect more conservative defensive playcalling. Fewell isn't going to want to put Corner or McKelvin out on an island just yet, and probably for good reason. -
Ross Tucker on dominance of Steelers' fans
Billadelphia replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. My dad was a lifelong Steelers fan and his whole side of the family is from Pitt., so I had alot of exposure to Steeler fans (plus I grew up in Western PA). I would compare them very closely to Buffalo fans, except they have won 5 Super Bowls and have something to really brag about when people bring up the past. If the Bills had won 4 straight super bowls in the early 90's, I think that we'd be a little cockier, too. -
McKelvin as a returner
Billadelphia replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's going to take a handful of mistakes before he is good. I don't expect consistency from him until the end of this year or next year in both coverage and returns. I definitely wouldn't say he's over coached, just under experienced. -
Actually, the ones that they wear are all custom made for each player for the most part. They are also much higher quality than anything that you can get on the consumer side. I have a good friend who works for Riddell and two of his accounts are the Ravens & Redskins.

Disappointing day for him today. He had his chances early, and although it was a case of pretty good coverage, he didn't step up like a superstar would. He has a long way to go, but it's not too bad for a rookie receiver so far. So far, he looks to be a role player.
