Just read that his play fell off A LOT this year but they don't know why. Does any one have any insights on this?
I watched every game of his career (minus a few) and I sure didn't see it. He was first-team All-ACC this past season for a reason IMHO.
Tech never had a great running back when he was there (or a great QB for that matter).... I can't wait to see him with Shady behind him.

No way! Seriously, Scott? That's awesome. My son got into the School of Engineering. He wants to be either a mechanical or civil engineer and is finishing up a two year Engineering program now in high school being taught by VCU professors (my alma mater). He was accepted to the VCU School of Engineering, as well, and was offered a partial scholarship but VT was his first choice so it's on to Blacksburg this fall.
I was Civil Engineering at Tech back in the dark ages (early 90's). I love it when the Bills draft Hokies! It aligns my college and pro football worlds.

Someone said he didn’;t get along with a new staff. IDK
Not true (I'm a 23 year VT season ticket holder). He gave some attitude to the coaches and they temporarily demoted him from the first team to let him know who was in charge. It took about a week or so for him to regain first team status. They gave him a message, so to speak.

He's a road grader who should benefit from the process. Butted heads with the new staff at VT a bit, but a solid talent.
We may know each other. I've been a Tech season ticket holder since 1994 (although I sell a lot of my tickets these days).
Teller is an Incognito clone in my opinion. Plays the game like he dislikes other humans. Was our best run blocker the past couple of years for sure.

If he can play, then I'm good with it.
We have another pick coming up soon (#166)

Uhm.... didn't we just draft a CB? ...trust the process.

He not only led Stanford in tackles as a DT (which is insane), but he also led all FBS defensive linemen in tackles last year. And, he graduate from Stanford with a double degree. And, did 7 more reps at the combine than any other player in the draft.
At the end of the third round, this pick is hard not to like!

Allen is a physical freak of nature. Huge arm, quick release, etc. NFL coaches are always arrogant enough to think they can "fix" everyone who enters the league with some flaws. Some team wants this kid badly and is hoping he falls in the draft so they can grab him later in the first round. Hell, maybe it is us and our new GM is hoping he can engineer a fall to #12.

His tweets were removed from Twitter back in January. So someone (some team?) strategically save the tweets then revealed them less than 24 hours before the draft in order to try to hurt his draft stock. It was done strategically. Some team is hoping he falls so they can pick him. ...Seems like the sort of thing the Patriots might do!

Been forever since we've had a GM who (seemingly) knows what he is doing. Amassing draft picks and clearing bad contracts offers us a ton of options going forward. For once I can say I'm optimistic as a fan.

The more I think about it....i think using our picks is the way to go. Rebuild and reshape the roster with cost controlled talent. If somehow we could get to number 2 that’s the only way i personally would get really excited about the prospects of a qb. Grabbing Lamar Jackson in round 2 would also be a dream but isn’t happening. I’m just glad I don’t have to make these decisions.
I agree. We have an aging roster with a ton of holes that needs to be filled. Watching guys like Nick Foles, Blake Bortles, and Case Keenum get their teams to championship games make me think trading up for a QB perhaps isn't the best move. We can get a QB at 21/22 or in the second round and still fill some other holes if we don't package the picks to trade up.

I like LT! He can't block worth a **** but he has pretty good hands.

I don't !@#$ing believe it. Am I drunk? Is this really our team?
-
Holy ****! Is this the same team I've been rooting for the past two decades? We NEVER win these type of game!!!

Frustrating how conservative we get on offense. Do we not know the defending MVP is on the other sideline?

Can't stand Deon Sanders as a commentator. He rarely has anything insightful to say.

As someone who lives in downtown Nashville, I can tell you that no respectable Nashvillian would ever hang out at Margaritaville. Awful tourist trap on lower Broadway. Folks should get punched for even going into that place.

Saw Jones play several times (twice in person) and he catches everything near him. 22 catches against South Carolina last year (on the road). A few years ago when ECU beat Virginia Tech, the ECU QB was basically just throwing 50/50 balls up deep and Jones time-and-again kept coming down with it. As a Virginia Tech fan it was infuriating... but now that Zay is a Bill it makes me happy!

Uninspiring retreads is pretty much our M.O. as an organization. I was at the game (in Tennessee) that led to Olson being fired as OC by the Jags. He deserved to be fired. That Olson is a "top" candidate tells you either (a) we lack imagination in our hiring processes or (b) anyone worth their salt wants no part of the Bills organization or ( c ) a combination of both.

I am an engineer !@#$, not a road scholar!
So you're saying you're not a civil engineer then?
