This again? Do I need to break out the list of probowl/HOF caliber players from D-2 again? 10% of the league comes from D-2 (10.72 was the actual number I believe).
I wanted to draft him for the following reasons:
1. We could have gotten a starter for a fifth round pick, and he seemed to be the best FB in the draft.
2. He has a mohawk and breaks facemasks. Seriously, that's just f---in cool.
Ok I'll bite. The busts from this draft will be (to varying degrees):
P. Merling
D. Harvey
D. Mcfadden (I think he's more like reggie bush than A. Peterson)
D. Avery
J. Stewart
Joe Flacco (A Ravens QB with good measurables, played against light competition. Sound familiar? (K. Boller))
F. Jones
DRC
You're missing that the Colts are stacked at almost every posiition and don't have to draft players to start right away. They can afford to take 3 G/C and see if any of them pan out.
I think GB is trying to do the same at QB. They have Rodgers, but still took 2 QB's. When your team is very good/great you can stock up at a position to ensure you get at least 1-2 good players for the future.
Was anyone else freaked out by vinny serrato's (sp?) crossed-eyes and bulging neck veins? And there is a giant wasp in my house, I mean freakishly big. I'll be back shortly.
