  1. Good water over there. That's about all I'm interested in as far as Keiaho goes.
  2. Exactly. Why the hell would we replace Keith Ellison with....Keith Ellison...?
  3. This has to lead you to believe that they're playing to get to the playoffs and go on a deep run THIS season. If not, they could've easily dealt Connolly away to a team looking for a scorer for the rest of the season for prospects/picks to build for the year(s) to come. With this happening, the Sabres aren't done making moves today IMO.
  4. Not the best news that anyone could've hoped to hear....
  5. You're right on, what a huge play that didn't get talked about as much as it should've been. Basically sums up most of his season in '08. Good riddance.
  6. In this mock, replace Barwin with Volunteer DE Robert Ayers in the 2nd round, and sign me up!
  7. Agreed, easily my favorite song by them as well. And like yourself, there aren't many, if any, more.
  8. The 90 seconds it takes to put them in the toaster is WELL worth it! A lost art really, it seems....
  9. As sad as it is, can you blame him? I mean, where is the incentive for a productive veteren like himself to go from losing in Cincy for years to a team that hasn't made the playoffs in a decade? Unless we put up the most green, or he sees the same potential in this team as some of us do, it just doesn't make sense for a player like TJ to be thrilled about coming here. Sad, but true IMO.
  10. Okay. Sit down for a second, crack a beer, roll something if that's what your into, and chill. Free agency started a little over 13 hours ago. 13 hours. RELAX. Unless your offseason hopes and dreams are living and dying by Jason Brown or Bart Scott, then I can assure you, there is still a ton of time and hope for the Bills making some moves. 75% NFL teams have't made a significant move yet, just like us. We're not in the minority. Let things play out.
  11. Whew....I was starting to get pretty afraid that I was going to be able to wear my McIntyre jersey next year...
  12. Kiper is such a clown. That pretty much seems to be the consensus around the entire nation as well, which makes me wonder why ESPN keeps him on the payroll.
  13. Russ Brandon should get this guy on the first plane to Buffalo.
  14. Exactly. A lot of people around here get on their knees after every move Bill Parcells makes. To these people: Did you watch Gibril Wilson play at all last season? He is a very average at best safety in this league. He has terrible ball skills IMO, and missed a ton of tackles in games that I watched last year, which was supposed to be his strength. If you're not good enough to play safety for Oakland, amidst Michael Huff being a bust, then something is obviously very wrong with your game. And you are right on with Crowder, Biscuit. I sometimes think that maybe since he has a kind of cool name and hair, and looks like an NFL linebacker, that people mistake him for a good one. That he is not. He is also a very average player at his position. Yet, Parcells likes him so he must be a Pro Bowl-caliber like Wilson. Spare me.
  15. That's actually pretty damn good news IMO. I would've hated to see us dish out a 1st round pick + for that guy. He is a pretty good football player, but not worth that compensation in a trade, nor the huge contract that I'm guessing he is going to get. This years draft has WAY too many good tight end prospects to play that game...
  16. Opening any thread that incinuates including a mock draft.
  17. Amen, that is the way to go. With a shot of crown and an ice cold bottle of molson sitting next to it.
  18. Good anaysis. I think what this doesn't account for, however, is the fact that this year there seems to be many more quality centers and tight ends that are actually worthy of being drafted in the first 2-3 rounds than in years past. Point being, that in past years teams have not drafted tight ends and centers at those types of intervals because there was simply not enough of them worthy of being drafted on day one or early on day two. This year seems to be different in that regard, with more centers and tight ends that seem to have a good shot at helping a team right away than in the past. That is why it will be tough for those trends to hold water IMO.
  19. Sign me up for Whitner moving to Free Safety and bring Sean Jones in to play Strong. Would be a HUGE improvement to our secondary and really help utilize #20 finally.
  20. Wow....Brings back Jonathon Stewart memories from last year.
  21. Exactly. Wayyyyyy too many people around here get caught up in inches and half seconds at the combine. Anyone who would seriously consider drafting Derrius Heyward-Bey ahead of guys like Crabtree, Jeremy Maclin, and Percy Harvin have either not watched college football for the past couple of years or simply don't pay much attention to what they are watching. But go ahead, campaign for a guy who is a half inch taller and a two tenths of a second faster than other guys who are better FOOTBALL PLAYERS. It's the Vernon Davis approach.
  22. Heyward-Bey is a great deep threat, but that's about it at this point. He's basically going to be a one-trick pony for his first couple years in the league until he learns to fight for balls, gains the desire to run routes over the middle, and cares to start blocking once in a while. He's an extremely raw talent and needs to get "coached up" a bunch. The last thing we need is another project at WR and that's exactly what this kid is going to be for whoever drafts him IMO.
  23. When most NFL corners are in the 5'9-6' range, a 6'1 or 6'2 receiver with 4.5 speed is a mismatch on most days for a corner trying to man up on him.
