  1. Are you kidding me? I only respond with "passion or articulation" to posts that actually deserve it. The 11 year old kid across the street could have written the same "article" that you just did. I'm sorry that I even wasted my time reading the entire collection of random thoughts that you presented in that OP. The 1999 New Orleans Saints quarterback depth chart as related to Jake Delhomme. Wow. How riveting, and completely relevant to the Buffalo Bills. Not that ONE POINT in your post was anyways. Daunte Culpepper is "reviving his career in Detroit"? Right. One would think that turning around a career would include winning at least a game or two. "If he does find himself a free agent or traded, Peyton will likely be a colt for at least another four seasons." What the hell does that even mean? I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that all you were doing was spewing out a bunch of irrelevant "facts", some of which were off base, in a completely incoherant and drawn out manner. If anyone on this board who read that post actually gained some insight or knowledge from it, I would love to know how you managed to do it. Kudos Romeo, great stuff.
  2. Ayers and Brown are my top two defensive end choices as well, and yes, that includes Orakpo.
  3. 3rd overall? Wow. If we do end up with Ayers, I really hope this Mayock guy is as accurate at evaluating college players as many people feel he is.
  4. The difference in language and grammer between your OP and this one is interesting...
  5. Exactly. There are A LOT more D'Brickashaw Fergusons out there than Ryan Cladys. Most offensive tackles, even the ones picked in the first round, do not come into the NFL and make an immediately positive impact in their first season. Let alone play at a All-Pro level like Peters did in '07 and clearly has the potential to do for the next decade. Plus, other than Clady, the ones that do come right out of the gate and dominate NFL defensive ends are usually a top-5 pick in the draft (i.e. Joe Thomas).
  6. Here's my question: What players on this team are going to be in the position, in regards to both their careers thus far and with their contract status, to even begin to think that it is their time for a new deal? The only one I can think of is Fred Jackson. We just extended Stroud. Did the same with Evans last year. What other players on the team have out-performed their contracts to the point where they should be coming to Brandon and Co. asking for a new deal and expecting not to be laughed at? I really cannot think of one other than Jackson. "Watch at least a dozen Bills players line up for new deals". Are you kidding? That is terrible reasoning for not completing a deal with Peters if they are $1 million apart.
  7. All valid points. I will add one thing: If the Bills and Peters are 1 mill a year apart as in the scenario that you presented, they BETTER f ing get a deal done. IMO, it would be an absolutely absurd move to move a left tackle, who has already proven to be AT LEAST a good-very good player in the NFL, only to end up having to draft a rookie who we know nothing about at the next level. Not over $1 million per year. Decisions like that are what set back franchises for years. If you want to win NOW and the gap with Peters is that close as draft day nears, you make the damn deal. Then use the draft to focus on the rest of your needs instead of worrying about using the extra mid-late first rounder you picked up in a Peters deal on an unknown like Andre Smith or Michael Oher.
  8. To me, draft day HAS to be the deadline for the Peters situation to shake out one way or the other, particularly for the Bills sake. Either they come to an agreement with Peters and Co. that works for the Buffalo Bills as a franchise moving forward, or they move him for picks that can help compensate for the loss. It's too great of a risk for the Bills not to have a left tackle locked in after April 25th passes. By the way, Chambers is not anywhere near a viable answer to that dilemma IMO.
  9. Can you already be drunk on the west coast....?
  10. Anyone know if ESPN is having some type of special show for it? I don't get the NFL Network. Time Warner Cable.....
  11. I like both guys, but what has Lynch done thus far in this league that makes it fair to say that Jackson "doesn't compare" to him? IMO, and I'm not alone, Jackson did a better job (MUCH better, at times) of identifying and hitting holes last year when the Bills gave him the football. As Mauraders said, the only thing that Jackson doesn't have as much as Lynch is the power factor, but Freddy doesn't give up on runs and can gain a couple extra yards if need be, like we saw last year. He might not have the sheer power game of Lynch, but he arguably has better vision, instinct, and hands as a runningback at this stage. Not to say that I don't like Lynch as a back moving forward, but it's really unfair to Jackson to say that he doesn't compare to Lynch. At least right now.
  12. Wow....a bit off this morning haha, thanks for pointing that out without taking a shot at my first born or something!
  13. A friend of mine told me that he heard a rumor about the Bisons giving away free tickets to anyone that bring a copy of their unemployment check to the ballpark, proving that they are indeed unemployed. Seemed like a pretty odd marketing scheme to me...Has anyone else heard this?
  14. Amen. Already really liked him, but you and Mayock have sold me on the idea. Would like it at #11. Would LOVE it if we trade down, get extra picks, and still get him.
  15. Wow. If any other analyst said that I wouldn't really put much stock into it, especially the Kiper and McShays of the world. I really respect Mike Mayock's opinion on subjects like these though. I liked Ayers a lot a minute ago, I like him even more now.
  16. Why do I have a feeling that I'm going to be facing the same dilemma in about 4 or 5 years....?
  17. What a crock of sh*t. It's much more likely that Marshall put his hand through another TV in reaction to finding out that he was going to be catching balls from noodle-arm Orton instead of Cutler in a couple months.
  18. Have fun, Rubes! Any interesting updates on the scene when you get back from the trip would be excellent.
  19. Thanks a lot, now I have to somehow get through the rest of the day at work wanting to hop on a flight right now haha. Convince the wife to meet us down there then, my friend. We'll all kill it at the tables and spend it poolside with the women. Unless VEGAS does the killing on the tables, then we'll have to get by on looks alone...Kneeling down in prayer...
  20. I've never played Pai-Gow before and just know the VERY basics....Tough to pick up on quickly?
