  1. Just from watching both players in college, Sanchez seems to have a substantially better arm right now then Pennington did when he played at Marshall. Sanchez is particularly much better at throwing on the move than Pennington was. Also, not one of USC's wideouts that Sanchez has worked with were half the player that Randy Moss was in college, so Pennington had that advantage. Don't know if that is a fair comparison at all.
  2. That is why there are multiple AM/FM radio stations, cd, cassette ( ), and mp3 players available in vehicles. No one is forcing you to listen to anything.
  3. What an absolute joke the Raiders draft looks like right now. Obviously it's going to take some time to shake out, but I can't remember one team making so many picks that left you scratching your head. Not that this is all that surprising. Al Davis is a stubborn old man who can't get away from his love of 40 yd dash times, and obviously losing football games. Even though it is that strategy that burns him consistently in the draft. Once again, I'm very thankful that I am not an Oakland Raiders fan.
  4. Any move that sends Keith Ellison to the bench and give us a proven, quality OLB that can consistently make tackles in this league, whether its Leroy Hill or otherwise, is fine with me.
  5. No one, at this stage, knows how either guy is going to do in the NFL. The whole idea of "Well Maybin better end up being a great player, because Orakpo will be" is a joke. Says who? Let them play at least a few regular season games, then maybe that type of nonsense will start to become a little more realistic.
  6. Did you really have to ruin a good list of players there by including Vernon Davis?
  7. Call me cynical, but I @#$%ing hate the phrase "The __________ (fill in the major sports league) wants to go global.
  8. Over/Under 55 times that Kiper describes a player as "A bit of a project". Day two should carry that number way over.
  9. I like the draft a lot as a whole. I am still just not sold on Oher at #11 though.
  10. If Raji somehow falls out of the top 10 and we pass on him at #11 it will only verify the fact that this organiztion is clueless when it comes to knowing how to build a winning football team.
  11. Better keep a bucket within about 6 feet of wherever you're watching the draft on Saturday then. Just in case.
  12. I'm going to venture a guess and say that he was talking about him being gone by our pick. He is better suited to be a 3-4 DE anyways.
  13. Would really like this as well. I think this is the first time in the past 4 months that I've liked two mocks in a row that people have put together. This has to be good karma.
  14. If the draft goes that way, I'd kiss Russ Brandon in the most manly way as possible.
  15. Good draft, but I don't think there is any way Connor Barwin falls down to the 75th overall pick.
  16. Pretty good. I'm also not a big fan of Barwin, though. Other than that I like it. I like Follet and Antone Smith a lot, although as far as Smith goes, I don't know about RB being a need whatsoever. No matter what round.
  17. Very good point. Whether it is Brown at #11 and Pettigrew at #28, or vice versa, I would feel great if those were our first two selections.
  18. Something tells me that too, unfortunately. Here's to us being wrong!
  19. LINK 1 (11) Everette Brown DE, Florida State IMO, he will become the most complete DE in the '09 class. Immediate impact off the edge next season, though. 1 (28) Brandon Pettigrew TE, Oklahoma State We get the franchise tight end we want and have needed for a decade +. 2 (42) Max Unger C, Oregon My favorite center of the class. Nasty, smart, and is a great athlete. 3 (75) Tyrone McKenzie OLB, South Florida An intriguing OLB prospect with good size that no one talks about. Set the Bulls single-season tackle record in '07. 4 (110) Ricky Jean-Francois DT, LSU Probably my favorite pick of this mock because of the potential value. If he gets his head on straight, this is a big time steal in the 4th round. 4 (121) Xavier Fulton OT, Illinois Good move to get depth behind Chambers and Bell if neither of them end up being able to fill the RT role. 5 (147) Courtney Greene SS, Rutgers LOVE this pick as well. Good size, speed, and character. First team All-Big East last year. Could develop into a game-changer if he sures up his tackling a bit and continues to improve his ball skills. 6 (183) Cecil Newton C, Tennessee State I must admit I don't know much about this guy or the choice here. Especially considering they had us taking Unger in the second round. Bit of a head scratcher. 7 (220) Nick Reed ILB, Oregon First team All-American with 13 sacks last season in the final round of the draft? Sounds good to me.
  20. amen. So, when are you going out to buy him the "My Child's First Craps Table"?
  21. I hope your FYI is MIA come Saturday. If we take a DT in the first round it better be BJ Raji if he somehow falls to us at #11 or Peria Jerry if he falls to 28. I don't want anything to do with Hood in the 1st round.
