  1. So what you're implying is that bad teams can't have any good football players on them?
  2. Yep, in order for our offense to be a success this year, unless we are a VASTLY improved team running the football, Trent needs to approach those numbers next season. If the offensive line can give him enough time at any kind of a consistent level, there's no question that the weapons are going to be there for Edwards to work with. We have the best group of skilled players (Lynch, Jackson, Rhodes, Nelson, Fine, Owens, Evans, Reed, Parrish, Johnson) that should contribute this season in the passing game in the AFC East, IMO.
  3. I really think (and hope) you're wrong. What evidence can you, or anyone else for that matter, possibly have to make you believe that these three guys didn't use, but all of the other home run hitters of the past 40 years have?
  4. Well, to play devil's advocate, they are coming off a year when they got bounced in the first round by a Chargers team that we beat, Manning is a year older, they have a new head coach, their offensive line isn't as solid as it has been for the past decade or so, their receiving corps is damn thin, defense is always suspect, and they play in what could turn out to be the toughest division in football this season. Those are just a few reasons that it's not so crazy to say that the Colts could miss the playoffs in '09. Not saying it will definetely happen, but there are signs that point to a down year.
  5. Please do, just so I can buy a new Bills jersey with Tinoisamoa on the back. That would just be sweet. In all seriousness, the guy has always seemed like a rock solid player to me. Worth a look for sure.
  6. Or he could be struggling because he is coming off a major wrist injury and is getting older, which has slowed down his bat speed, and he hasn't made all of the necessary adjustments yet. ...But I guess every player that struggles in the first month of the year after producing for many years had to be taking steroids when he was having success. It's more interesting that way.
  7. Wow. Maybe you meant to say that you completely and utterly exaggerated Whitner's yearly salary? Just quit while your ahead, man.
  8. I see your point here, but it's also pretty tough to rule out two rookies and a free agent as being problems before they even play a snap together. Hope they don't prove to be an issue, though.
  9. Very good article. Man, the progression of everyone on our offensive line, not just the two rookies but all 5 spots, is really going to be the key to the amount of success we have on the field this season. It seems as though the right mix of personell may finally be in place, now we need to pray that they learn their roles and blocking schemes and form a team out there in order to bring it all together. Anyone else think that this season is going to ride on the coaching success of Sean Kugler more than anyone else not named DJ? I hope he comes through.
  10. You're right on. Notice how much the run game dropped off when Butler was out with his injury last year, and how it not- so-coencidentally was clearly better when he returned to the field. Besides possible Walker, Brad Butler was our most consistent, solid offensive lineman last season IMO.
  11. Somewhere, Alvin Bowen is feeling this guy's pain.
  12. Bringing in more competition and potential depth is always an upgrade over sitting around and doing nothing about it.
  13. The progress of the offensive line from now until opening week, as well as your signature itself proving to be a smart move, is going to determine how good this offense can be. Does it have the potential to be very, very good? Yes. Does it have just as much potential to be very mediocore if those two things don't turn out well for us? Absolutely.
  14. I see your getting a lot of answers here, Wooderson. Too bad I don't know sh*t about computers. Sorry!
  15. Raising Arizona was the only thing that I can think of that I liked Cage in. I found that movie hilarious.
  16. Way too early for this kind of stuff IMO, but if all goes well: 1. New England (11-5) 2. Buffalo (10-6) 3. Miami (9-7) 4. New York (7-9)
  17. I wouldn't be too worried about it, it's not all that uncommon for him to be rather quiet during the off-season. By the way, great job with the bar and rec room! I would love to have the space to build something like that...
  18. I think that's exactly what it is, and I hope the kid proves the Bills right.
  19. Well... Larry Fitzgerald was a Biletnikoff Award-winning receiver, and was also given the Walter Camp Award as the best overall player in the country in 2003. As well as coming damn close to winning the Heisman and becoming the 3rd Overall pick in the '04 draft. Just sayin'.
  20. Good for King James, he deserves it. Now let's see if he can close the deal on the championship. I'm pretty confident that Kobe and my Lakers will be waiting for him in a couple of weeks .
  21. I foolishly put a little money on Hatton too, just because I liked the odds, so I feel your pain. What a joke. That's an embarrasing way to end a career if it does end up being his last fight, which it damn well should be. That may have been the most lop-sided fight of the decade thus far. Both he and Mayweather Sr. should apologize for wasting the time and money of anyone who had the misfortune of buying that fight. Way to earn your $8 mill, Hitman.
