  1. So, Gene Wojciechowski is THAT guy . It's funny, you read an article like this absolutely killing a player like Owens, and coencidently there are no quotes from even an anonymous former TEAMMATE. I'm starting to believe more and more when T.O. just tells people to listen to what his former teammates have to say about their time with him instead of all of these media blowhards looking for a lot of hits on their story on ESPN.com.
  2. Good read. Schobel has always came across as a pretty different type of dude. It almost seems like he is annoyed by the hustle and bustle of being a professional athlete, and really tries to avoid it at all costs. It's rare that a writer like Sully can get this many sentences out of him in a single article. We really need him on the field, though. If he doesn't come back as at least almost as productive a player as he was for a stretch of a few years there, that is just going to put that much mroe pressure on Maybin in his first year.
  3. I agree. Particularly recently, he has become pretty redundant, IMO. He never really changed anything about his style or the points that he tries to convey with his lyrics for the last decade. Those two are good, but I think there are some lesser-known songs that are actually better than the ones that made it on most of the airwaves. Personal favorites are Bully, 'Till I Collapse (Listen to that before a game if you wanna get the adrenaline going a bit ), Soldier, Curtains Down, and at the top of my list, Drug Ballad.
  4. Hi, my name's Pot. This is my black friend, Kettle.
  5. Well, here is an example of a scenario that is puzzling to me in that regard. There are many cases of people that have lived many years as heterosexuals only to switch sides of the fence well into their adult life. Does that mean that all of these people simply chose to completely ignore gay feelings and intuitions for years upon years that they were "born with"? It seems to me that the enviroment that they have lived in and experiences they have had throughout their lives has to be the factor in at least some of those types of cases.
  6. That's right. That may actually be the best case scenario for him at this point. Could very well be cut by the end of training camp unless he really impresses.
  7. Although I am on the opposite side of the whole gay marriage "issue", I see what you are saying as far as this goes. In fact, I'm not exactly sure how I feel about that end of the issue. I am almost inclined to think there can be multiple answers to the question of "Are you born gay" or is it a "choice"? It just seems like there is evidence pointing in both directions.
  8. Well, in a liberal sense that could damn well be contrived as a slur. So be careful. Remember who you're dealing with.
  9. Excellent post. I think you hit the nail right on the head.
  10. That's how I've felt about Kornheiser the past few years. I think he and Wilbon compliment eachother well and I enjoy PTI, but he was pretty brutal at times during MNF broadcasts. Almost an annoyance.
  11. Actually, I just clicked on the link as soon as I opened your thread. However, now that you modified the title, it has become much more clear smarta$$. I forgot this is what happens when people say anything negative about any of Beerball's posts, especially ones as brilliant and compelling as this one.
  12. I wouldn't have wasted my time clicking the link if your thread title "Sorry folks, Nelson is a bust" didn't incinuate that I was going to find something more than another worthless 2010 NFL mock draft. So congratulations, you fooled me with your witty title leading me to believe it was actually going to be something interesting to check out. I fully realized after clicking the link that you were trying to be sarcastic, but why even waste your time posting this type of sh*t?
  13. Maybe if Jonny Flynn would have stayed in school. Looks like a longshot without him.
  14. I actually agree, is there even a point of these guys in their basements making these 2010 mocks, let alone posting them? There should be a seperate forum to put them in just in case someone actually cares where people think the Bills will be drafting in 2010 right now.
  15. I think a lot of people, especially in the WNY area, are going to start doing the same due in large part to this tragedy. I know I already have.
  16. If it's even possible, this has to make the families of the vicitims feel even worse. Their loved ones lives were put in incompetent hands.
  17. Wow. I cannot believe she is 21. It's just wrong how hot she is at that age. This has Danny Almonte written all over it.
  18. Here I was expecting a link to some sort of moderately funny Tinoisamoa video or something and all I got was that?
  19. No, they should not hope that. However, a free breakfast sandwich may be in order.
  20. I wasn't of the opinion that we really had a sub-par offseason in the first place, but I think that at least on paper we did a good job of filling our needs on both sides of the football between FA and the draft combined. The only glaring need that wasn't addressed is Ellison's spot IMO, and Tinoisamoa would be an immediate upgrade. You could also say LT wasn't addressed, but I think it was when we added Hangartner, Wood, and Levitre, just not directly with a tackle. Plus, if they aren't confident in Walker's ability to play the left side, Levi Jones is still out there. I think this offseason is shaping up damn well.
