  1. 90%? That's the best news I've heard all day...... (Digging through wallet)
  2. I noticed that as well. I wonder if it was just an odd choice of wording or if Clayton is in fact convinced that Parrish is going to be dealt in the near future. I wouldn't be in love with the latter, but if it did end up happening I would hope that it would be in exchange for some who can contribute to the team this year, not a draft pick or two.
  3. I think he makes some interesting points about Trent, Owens, and the defense - Fewell in particular. Clayton Article
  4. AMEN. I would much rather go into every game thinking that we have a chance to win. Isn't it much more fun that way?
  5. Who is to say that any NFL team, let alone the Bills, is looking at Michael Vick to be their starting quarterback? I don't think that any team in this league is having those types of thoughts as far as Vick goes since he hasn't taken a snap in two seasons at the position. Many teams including Buffalo, however, have issues with their backup quarterbacks and see Vick as an experienced, potentially dynamic, alternative. In the meantime, he is probably very well-suited for a wild cat-type role in any offense. I don't understand why people are connecting the Vick rumors with Trent's job as starting quarterback. He is safe regardless of whether this happens or not.
  6. "You play to win the game! You don't just play it to play it!" - Herm Edwards Sorry, best I could come up with...
  7. Really? The guy acted like an inhumane !@#$ and made a series of poor decisions, but he also served a pretty lengthy jail sentence plus some to pay for it. If the courts deemed that to be enough punishment, then why isn't it enough for you? It obviously isn't if your going to stop rooting for a team that I'm guessing you've followed for many years just because they sign the guy.
  8. I agree wholeheartedly. That would be a ridiculous notion. Well, to most around here, at least.
  9. Where in my OP did I mention anything at all about a starting quarterback competition between Vick and Trent if Vick was to be brought in?
  10. Exactly. Our quarterbacks, after Trent Edwards, are obviously lacking and the "what if" scenario if Trent happens to go down for any number of games is not at all encouraging. All other options should be getting consideration, and Vick should be at or near the top of the list based on talent alone. If and how much this talent has depreciated over the last 2 years that he's been out of football, and his ability to understand and run our offense are still major questions.
  11. Just hope its not turf toe...That injury is such a pain in the ass, especially for wideouts coming in and out of their breaks.
  12. Could be absolutely nothing, but still a bit odd. Jauron said Owens was "excused" from this mornings walkthrough and that he would address it further tonight.
  13. If the line is anything around 3 in a few weeks, I'm going with Oklahoma State, no questions asked. Something tells me it will be around 5, 5.5 by then though, so now might be the time to get it if you can and that's the way you're leaning.
  14. I can't wait for that Oklahoma St-Georgia game. The Cowboys have arguably the best skill-position player combo in the country with Zach Robinson at QB, Kendall Hunter at RB and Dez Bryant at WR. Bryant might be the best wideout in the nation this year, Hunter led the Big-12 in rushing last year and is vastly underrated nationally, and Robinson is proven with both his arm and his legs.
  15. That's a great point. It's more about the love of the game. To Poojer's point, I see what you are saying, but the reason I am not a fan of NASCAR and don't watch it at all is because I don't like it as a "sport". It just doesn't interest me. I'm sure many others around here would echo that. I don't really have a favorite college football team in particular, just like I don't have a favorite driver for obvious reasons, but as far as the sport as a whole, I can't get enough of it.
  16. If you don't have vested interest in a particular game, (Example: Bills games, game that involve your alma mater), do you enjoy watching College Football or the NFL more and why? I've talked to some people about this topic recently and the answers were pretty split. Got some pretty interesting answers/debate so I wanted to gage some more thoughts that are out there with both seasons kicking off in the near future... Personally, I have fallen in love with college football over the last 4 or 5 years. Although there are some obvious BCS flaws, the rivalries, old-school stadiums, tradition, fan experience, overtime format, and the talent-level of the kids competing every Saturday has really done it for me. This season is setting up to be even better than last with Florida, Oklahoma and Texas bringing back very strong teams with Heisman-candidate quarterbacks, plus a host of other contenders like USC, Va Tech, Ohio St, etc. If its not a Bills game, I would choose going to/watching a college football game on television that I don't have a vested interest in over the same type of NFL game 9 time out of 10.
  17. That's interesting. What would you say was the biggest difference with his method(s) as compared to the others that are often predictable and redundant?
  18. As if getting your car broken into, no matter the car, should ever be considered as a "favor" in the first place.
  19. Useless "stories" like that only make his site look less credible. Keep 'em coming as far as I'm concerned. I could care less about what Mike Florio and his colleagues think about the Buffalo Bills in the first place. He'll break a story a little early once in a while (i.e. the Marshawn one yesterday) but other than that it's a bunch of crap.
