  1. They have Peyton Manning and Bill Polian. Who gives a sh*t???
  2. That's what my mom says too when she watches a Bills game that Gus is calling.
  3. Link Makes me sick to my stomach. Pretty speechless at this point.
  4. This is an absolutely disgusting story. What the hell happens to these types of people to make them do things like this? 11 women? 11? That we know of? Not only does he rape them, he murders them afterwards and then lives with the bodies. WTF?!?!?!? This is beyond ridiculous. I don't even know what kind of punishment would even come close to suiting this crime. Not even death would. Can we go back to the old days of publicily stoning this POS?
  5. I blame this mockery of a thread on Perez Hilton., the ACLU, and Bill Belicheck. Not necessarily in that order.
  6. One of those guys that sit on a stool and give you a mint and paper towel in the bathroom of a fancy restaurant. Trying to work his way up to a bus boy.
  7. He had the first of his career against the Browns, then 2 against both the Jets and Panthers. Reggie Corner robbed him of having 3 in the Jets game and picked off a pass that would've been right to Byrd. I'm assuming that's what you're thinking of.
  8. When McKelvin was healthy and returning kicks all last year, it was "Get A lot" by Young Jeezy. Remember it distinctly. "Put On" would be better, though.
  9. How original. You really need a link to realize that this type of thing is commonplace?
  10. Thanks for posting that. Really interesting stuff, no matter what angle you're looking at it from. I agree with you that Donaghy is probably exaggerating a good deal of what is said in those excerpts. It might be a last-ditch effort to try and save his name, or simply a money-making move. Either way, like you said, it is tough to believe anything he says about his time in the NBA without a grain of salt. Let's see if any of the many referees that he seems to mention in this book come forward and validate any of this. If so, things get real interesting, real quick.
  11. I would say mine, and that's before you factor in that there are hundreds of rape claims made every year against athletes that are so baseless they never even lead to a civil suit, much less a criminal investigation. Not to say that there aren't some scumbags throughout sports who have actually committed the crime. We'll just have to agree to disagree on the subject of which scenario is more likely, I guess.
  12. Exactly. Ask Terrell Davis about the migraines he dealth with throughout his time in the league. If it forced him to miss a quarter+ in a Super Bowl, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Nelson couldn't practice because of one.
  13. And what do ya think is more often the case, my scenario or yours?
  14. Lots of girls cry rape after they sleep with mutli-million dollar athletes.
  15. I'd be shocked if the Lakers lose more than 10-12 games the entire season. If Bynum can stay healthy, he will be one of the top big men in the league all season long. Nobody can match their top 6 in Fisher, Kobe, Artest, Bynum, Gasol, and Odom. Anyone else smell a repeat coming?
  16. I could care less if you're wearing a Barney the dinosaur suit, as long as you get loud on third downs!
  17. Wanted to do an early roll call on who will be at the Ralph this week. We all know that one of the best ways to disrupt an offense like the Texans is with crowd noise, and with their reliance on the passing game this is going to be even more important this Sunday. LET'S GET LOUD. No matter how you feel about Jauron, Ralph, Trent, Fitz, T.O., the run d, etc., this team could have easily curled up in the fetal position and died after the embarrasment that was the Cleveland game three weeks ago. In fact most of us, myself included, expected just that to happen. Instead they pulled off two road wins in a row for the first time in 5 years. Albeit ugly, but two road wins. Regardless of how you feel about how they got to this point, the crowd needs to be a factor Sunday to help our defense out as much as possible when Houston's offense is out there. Getting to 4-4 in the bye week will be a huge plus for the way this season has gone so far. With winnable games against Tennessee and Jacksonville coming up after the bye, this game is all the more important if we have any hope left of getting back into the playoff race. Bottom line: LET'S GET THE RALPH ROCKING FROM START TO FINISH THIS SUNDAY!
  18. No...I think it's probably because Edwards sucks, and Fitzpatrick gives us a better chance to win football games. Wake up.
  19. You keep speaking of this insane turnover ratio as if it has absolutely nothing to do with our offense. The turnover ratio wouldn't look quite as good if the offense had been giving the ball back to the other team multiple times each game, which it has not. Fitzpatrick has been doing his job very well in this respect. He's not turning the ball over, even though he is throwing the ball downfield and giving our playmakers chances to make a play (Imagine that). This during two road games. It doesn't matter who you are playing, winning on the road is not an easy task in the NFL, just ask the Eagles how their trip to Oakland went last week. And stop kidding yourself, the Jets are not a "crappy team". Sure they didn't very good at all offensively against us, but they have also beaten the Pats*, dominated the Texans on the road, had the Dolphins beat in Miami, and just embarrassed a Raider team that took down a damn good Eagles team the week before. So gimme a break with that statement. Fitzpatrick came in completely cold in the Meadowlands, having taken about 20% (if that) of the snaps in practice in the weeks before that. We won that game, and we won again last week on the road. He may not have "won" us either game, but he sure as hell didn't come close to being the guy that could've "lost" it. Now let's see what he can do with a couple full weeks of practice with the first team under his belt and a home game coming up. Most around here are pretty confident that we know what our former starter is capable of in this league. Time to take off the Trent Edwards pajamas.
  20. Agree with basically everything you said, but particularly this. Hangartner was getting killed on about 3/4 of the plays out there, and Levitre wasn't much better. Their bright spot (along with Bell) was the Lynch TD run, but other than that they weren't doing anything to open up holes in the running game. Merideth did a brutal job pass blocking, and it REALLY would have been nice to see the coaching staff give him more help with a tight end or back on his side, but apparently that is too obvious of an answer for them to do it. IMO, our offensive line play prevented us from multiple big plays yesterday, giving Fitzpatrick no time, let alone the ability to step into his throws. If this somehow improves over the course of the season, our offense could really start to move the ball.
