  1. This past week at the Ralph was much closer to a playoff atmosphere than anything that will be going on at the Rogers Centre tonight. They're giving away tickets reportedly.
  2. LINK 14 votes is a pretty wide margain. Much wider than expected, as many were saying it would come down to less than a handful of votes. Thoughts?
  3. He's slowly creeping into the top 10 people I'd like to punch in the face.
  4. Leon is absoultely hilarious. The episode earlier in this season involving him having some relations with his friend's girlfriend and Larry trying to help him cover it up was great.
  5. Great win for Syracuse tonight. They could make a hell of a run this year.
  6. I like your optimism as far as Cuse goes, they looked great last night, but I wouldn't get too carried away with how down you think Carolina is going to be this year. They won't be the same team as last year because of the lost veteran leadership and point guard play of Ty Lawson. However, they have 6 skilled big men in their lineup that go 6'9 or better. This includes two future lottery picks in Ed Davis, who starts, and Jon Henson. As well as Deon Thompson who is a senior this year and will be NBA-bound, and Tyler Zeller and the Wear brothers who all could very well be drafted. Ginyard is one of the most underrated players in the country as well, especially defensively. He hounded Evan Turner of OSU for much of the night yesterday. They went 11 deep in that game by the way. A big key to their season is going to be the continued progress of sophomore PG Larry Drew II. He seems to be developing pretty well early on, though. Bottom line: I think this is going to be a much better Tar Heel team on the defensive end this year, and they should have a significant advantage down low and on the glass against most teams all season long. Guard play and turnovers are still questions, but if they can get even average play out of those spots, this is going to be a damn good team once again.
  7. They were really impressive last night. Most active defense out of the 2-3 that I can remember from them in a long time. Both point guards looked good, especially Scoop. Rautins staying healthy all year will be big. Having guys that are 6'5+ at the 2-5 spots is going to be a huge positive for the team defense going forward. Their length is going to be tough to matchup with for most teams in the nation. However, one of the teams that can match up with Cuse's length is the one that they just so happen to be playing tonight.... Should be interesting.
  8. You should consider following your own advice before trying to give any to me or anyone else.
  9. I actually do have a younger sister. She's 14. Leave it to a guy from Northern Florida to make the types of references that end up landing ya on "To Catch A Predator". The show should just do their work in your neck of the woods permanently. Would be like shooting fish in a barrel. Bottom line: If you quit making stupid, pompous comments on almost all subjects Bills, maybe you won't continually receive insults about your city and its lack of a relevant football organization in response. Just sayin'.
  10. I'll be shocked if the board doesn't crash at some point today when word of this news spreads.
  11. I heard they're paying people off the streets to help tarp sections of seats off in the stadium for Sunday's game. You should go ahead and join the effort.
  12. I like it. Considering he seems to have more talent than the other three guys we currently employ, why not?
  13. Yep, a lot of Pro-Bowlers would be out of jobs at the moment if it were that way.
  14. That, to me, is implying that the fact that the Pats* would be defending a field that would be at least 30-40 yards shorter had they not converted the 4th down is not much of a deal. I guess I'm missing something.
  15. How exactly was I posturing and throwing around insults....? You get an opinion questioned, and that is to be considered a threat or something to a moderator? Interesting. An answer to the question I was posing in response to your post about the advantages of defending a short field surely would have sufficed.
  16. Seriously? Are you really trying to sell the fact that it is somehow easier to defend 30 yards against a team down 6 with 3 timeouts left than 60-70 yards? Really? Yes, actually it is unreasonable. I don't care who is trying to get the 2 yards, there are a number of things that can happen that will stop you from getting those two yards (i.e. a sack, incomplete pass, COMING UP SHORT, etc) which makes this an incredibly asinine decision. On the other hand, if you do punt like they should have, there are a number of things that can go right for your defense in those 60-70 yards between the end zone, such as a sack, a 3RD interception, big penalties, or a couple of things that lead to a turnover on downs and the end of the game. Anyone who seriously thinks that this was a logical coaching move needs to lay off the crack.
  17. I cannot believe there are some around here who are honestly trying to defend that coaching decision on 4th and 2 from their own 28 yard line. Give me a break.
  18. Another vote for Phillip Rivers. Who just so happens to be my favorite quarterback in the NFL.
  19. And how exactly is he right? This is all pretty damning evidence against all of his theories about this event, which in my view are little more than excuses at this point - Can't wait to come back in a couple of hours and see how a few people attempt to disprove this evidence and still try to convince others, and first and foremost themselves, that this isn't to be considered an act of terror. It's funny that even the mainstream American media (i.e. ABC) is beginning to "sort out all of the facts", days after others around the world, like the London Telegraph for example, easily uncovered this material. Point being: The evidence that Hasan was a man with a lengthy history of Jihad beliefs and activity is becoming too overbearing to ignore. Even for the mainstream media, who would've liked nothing more than to ignore all of this for as long as possible. A couple around here need to cut the bullsh*t dancing around the facts and follow suit.
  20. I'm man enough to say it...I have a Yorkshire Terrier. Wasn't in love with the idea of a small dog at first like a couple on this board have said, but he turned out to be an awesome dog. Doesn't act like a "lapdog" what so ever. He's the man!
