  1. When I first started to read your post, I was thinking that you would end with saying that this proves that golfers are athletes, and instead you did the opposite. If anything guys like Watson and Couples competing step-for-step with golfers like Tiger and Mickelson is simply further proof that they are great athletes well into their middle-age years. Golf takes an incredible amount of balance, strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance, etc. All qualities of being a good athlete. Playing (and walking for that matter) 72 holes of golf in a 4 day period, under immense pressure from the first tee-shot to the last putt is a very grueling task, and the guys that are on Tour these days are doing so very impressively. We're not talking about some 37 year old insurance agent with a beer gut shooting 90 at a local golf course with his buddies. I'll listen to arguments about Nascar drivers not being athletes, but professional golfers most certainly are. These guys are special, and they are athletes. Go Freddy Couples! Should be a great weekend.
  2. Awesome, try to let us know about your experience at it. From what I've seen it looks incredible. The Twins are going to be a tough team this year. GREAT lineup, just need to find a closer and hope their starting pitching holds up.
  3. Which is exactly where he belongs with Victor Martinez on the team. Your point?
  4. This is probably the first year since the Whitner pick ( ) that I can honestly say I have no idea what we're going to do with our first round pick... And I kind of like that. At least Jauron, Guy & co. aren't running the show. I have much more confidence in this group to do the right thing.
  5. That's what I was thinking to myself when this happened... A-Roid
  6. The Skins already have Portis, Willie Parker, and Larry Johnson on their roster. Doubt they're going to want to add another back. Trade him to anyone who will take him for a pick(s), and try to get McCluster in the 3rd or 4th round to pair with Freddy. Campbell is terrible anyways, IMO.
  7. Olives. Pickles. Peas. Ham Salad. Garbanzo Beans. Any beans, for that matter, besides Green.
  8. Allright that's it, I'm sold. Bring on Tebow as long as she's part of the package coming to WNY.
  9. I know it is a Sunday night, but why so miserable? Go in the Tebow/Chophouse thread if you really want to get some steam off your chest.
  10. One way or another, I think Lynch is gone sometime this off-season. JMO.
  11. I'm a huge fan of McCluster. Could care less what his 40 times were at the combine, I watched a lot of him at Ole Miss and he is nothing short of dynamic. Would LOVE to ship out Lynch for picks, get Dexter in the 3rd or 4th round, and pair him with Freddy J for 2010.
  12. Sherron Collins at the point John Wall as the 2 guard Evan Turner at the 3 Greg Monroe at PF DeMarcus Cousins at C ....Championship.
  13. That's where I'll be. Drowning myself in Guinness & Jameson.
  14. Same here, I thought it was only an okay season up until this past episode, but this one was really good. I'm really glad they didn't end up executing Kyla because she's effing smoking!!!
  15. So, now that the tournament is only 2 days away and all those blockheads on ESPN have stopped arguing about Va Tech and Miss St's cases for the tourney, we can get to the real point - Who's everyone got in their final four and how's it playing out? Here's mine (subject to change within the next 48 hours, of course ): Kansas Kentucky Cuse Baylor Kansas over Cuse Kentucky over Baylor Kansas over Kentucky
  16. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm warming up to the idea of a LT at #9 and then Tebow in the 2nd round if Clausen is gone before the 9th pick....
  17. Just because they come from a "mid-major" conference doesn't mean anyone should see Gonzaga in that light anymore. Mark Few consistently recruits big time talent and should not be included in discussions about "mid-majors" IMO. Gonzaga has been a consensus top-25 team in the nation for much of the last decade.
  18. Kansas got absolutely screwed, IMO. They are supposedly the #1 overall seed in the tournament and they get stuck with a very strong #2 in Ohio St., the best 3 seed in Georgetown, a Michigan St. team that easily could've been a 3 or 4 seed, and the only two teams that beat them during the regular season, Tennessee and Oklahoma State. Throw in upstart teams like Maryland and Georgia Tech and this is easily the most difficult region, IMO. The Jayhawks can't be happy with this draw. Duke's region is a joke.
