Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse

Can't get it done? Lets see here....5 years in the NFL, 5 years in the playoffs...in arguably one of the toughest divisions in football during that time...(sans Cleveland)..if not for a dropped pass in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game he is a Superbowl QB...keep or better yet start start drafting QBs with "upside and potential"...makes sense to me... You probably just kept going too.... -

Back up the BRINKS truck for FLACCO....nuff said -
I say scrap all of these potential "franchise" QBs and back up the brinks truck for FLACCO...Just sayin...he has only taken his team to the playoffs EVERY year since he's been in the league....if not, see what it would take to get Rivers. He would be a monster behind our O-Line.
-
In a heartbeat....he is only 31 years old. The Browns drafted a "franchise" QB around the same age. Since I now live in SD I get to watch the away games, since a lot of the home games don't sell out and if Rivers had Buffalo's Offensive Line he would be a pro-bowl QB again. The WRs wouldn't have to stop, reach behind themselves or get laid out to catch a pass....unlike with Fitzgibbons

His bllod pressure may be down a bit but his waistline has increased substantially.....Blood pressure will be sure to follow...

Player changes at One Bills Drive
johnnywo replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who? Why not give Stanford Routt a shot? Crezdon Butler from the AZ practice squad? -
Reality is that if we can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat from either the Texans or Patsies* our schedule for the rest of the season favors a strong finish. I agree with Buftex that if we beat one of those two teams 10-6 is not out of the question. Enough to get us into the playoffs, i'm not sure, but would make for an interesting december for a change!! GO BILLS!

Bills suck, Nix suck, fire Chan, bench Fitz...uniforms are turrible

Positive Attraction And The Bills

"If you look good, you feel good. And if you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good. And if they pay good, you eat good." Primetime I guess just substitute "think" for "look"....we all know they don't look good... -
I have a rebuttal to your banter 1. OP is a terrible spot for the community/region. It's great for 8-13 days per...if the Bills ever go back to the playoffs. So for now we'll go with 10. 2. Convention Center - the reason Buffalo isn't a hot spot for conventions is because the current one is 476 years old and the surrounding infrastructure stinks. Pittsburgh has plenty of conventions, as does Cleveland and Idny..... Even in the winter...go figure. 3. Retractable Roof - Why limit yourself to one or the other? I was just in Az for the Bills/Cards game and going from 95 degrees to A/C was fantastic. If it was 80 they would have had the roof open. Not to mention how good it would feel going from -10 to 70. Be openminded with the flexibility of having a retractable roof. 4. Ownership - Do you want serious buyers with serious money and a commitment to Buffalo? If yes, build now so you have a selling point. If not, put lipstick on the pig... Just my $.02... And all this without Buffalo's beautiful waterfront, Canadian tourism and Buffalo Wings!! Imagine the possibilities!! I would even consider moving back once they city got their S*^% together.

RIP Kent Hull Jan. 13, 1961 - Oct 18, 2011
johnnywo replied to Jim Gehman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had the honor of meeting Kent on a flight from Buffalo to Atlanta (on my way to San Diego). That was in about 2002-2003. I'll tell you what, these guys pour their heart and souls out for the teams they play for. He was in bad shape back then and could barely get his knees bent enough to get into his seat. Being uncomfortable never stopped him from chatting and telling a few "war stories". RIP big man. -
Shawne merriman is back with the Bills
johnnywo replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone on twitter asked him about that the other day and his response was that he " is not a DE in this league"...from Merriman himself... -
I actually find this move kind of refreshing in a sense. Not that Moorman got cut, becasue he has been a great pro, but if you don't perform, you get cut. Simple as that. I know we all have our sentimental players that we love, but when your skills diminish it's time to move on. That being said, I wish him the best of luck. Great guy from all accounts, now a average punter at best.

100 million dollar mistake?
johnnywo replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about a blitz every now and again? Ever think of that? It didn't look like we sent more then 4 guys the entire game.....an extra guy may have disrupted the timing that Snatchez had with the receivers. Not to mention a bump off the line as well... -

Not sure who has ESPN insider on here, but when you click on each of our draft picks name you see something consistant....for INTANGIBLES -- the picks are graded either a 1 (Exceptional) or a 2 (Above Average). The majority of them all say smart, hard working and tough....turning out to be a really good draft with good, hard working kids! I'm excited for the future of BILLS football...GO BILLS!

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
johnnywo replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy, how nice would this be? I'd take Williams and Winston in a heartbeat if these are the only moves the team makes!! This is per ESPN Insider.... There's some debate over who exactly is the top free agent target this offseason, but DE/OLB Mario Williams is certainly in the conversation. The former No. 1 overall pick has excelled in QB hunting in multiple defensive schemes, he just turned 27 years old in January, and there's a big gap between him and the rest of the available players at the position this offseason. Most teams would love to have him on their roster, but when financial considerations are taken into account, that limits the market substantially. One team that has remained in the mix -- at least speculatively -- is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have an excellent pair of interior D-linemen in Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus, but lack an elite pass-rusher as they move back to a four-man front for 2012. So from a needs standpoint, it's a match, but will the Bills be ready to pay the hefty price? During an appearance on WGR 550 on Tuesday morning, Bills GM Buddy Nix hinted that they might be ready to take the plunge. "We'd like to be out of the business by Friday. The big splash for us could be over in a week," Nix said, per BuffaloBills.com. He later reiterated that the team was going to be addressing the DE position this offseason, either through free agency or the draft. If that's the priority, then inking Williams would certainly be a logical move. Furthermore, the Bills have the cap space to make an aggressive offer -- according to numbers published by NFL.com, they're $23 million under the cap -- and still have enough left over to target other top FAs at positions of need like Vincent Jackson and/or Eric Winston. - Tim Kavanagh -
