  1. How about these categories. 7. Saw what the Bengals went through with Carson Palmer this year. To refresh your memory: A very slow start that all but cost them what ever momentum they had coming off their first non losing year in about a decade. 8. Saw what the Jets did by letting Pennington not start until early on in his 3rd year. To refresh your memory: Win the AFC East and a first round playoff game.
  2. This game had 4 key plays in about 4 minutes of real game time. 1) Josh Reed Penalty deep in Steeler territory (Been discussed) 2) Missed chip shot FG (has been discussed) 3) Defense giving up big running play right after the missed FG (Has been discussed) 4) Willis ignoring the blitzing CB and running right up the back of Mike Williams to help him when he needed no help, and allowing the CB to blind side Bledsoe, cause a fumble, and have it returned for a TD. (Curiously not been discussed) To me this was a huge play. The Play was going to the Bills left, that's why Willis had blitz protection to the right (which on this play would be Bledsoe's blind side since he was looking toward the left sideline) Blame Bledsoe for everything, but let's give some blame to this boards GOD, and say that he screwed the pooch on the blitz pickup, which lead to Bledsoe getting blind sided, and the resulting effect of such a hit.
  3. Here you go Rube....Pats VS the Bills in round 1 of the playoffs
  4. Look at this weird and wild scenario that is very possible! Pats Lose to Jets and beat 49'ers to finish 13-3 San Diego beats Indy and KC to finish 13-3 Pittsburgh Beat Baltimore and losses to Bills finish 14-2 Buffalo wins their last 2 and go 10-6 Jags lose one of their last 2 Denver losses one of their last 2 If that happens, and it's not a long shot for it all to happen, then the seeding looks like this: 1) Pitt 2) San Diego (They beat the Pats in the tie breaker with 2 losses in AFC to the Pats 3 losses in the AFC) 3) Pats 4) Indy 5) Jets 6) Bills Bills Play at the Pats in the first round. So tonight's win for the Dolphins has made it a lot more complicated for the Pats to walk into the Super Bowl... (if they end up as the 3 seed they need 2 road Victories) but it also opens the door for the Bills to most likely get slammed in the first round of the playoffs in Foxboro, when I think they actually had a better shot of a first round win vs the the Chargers or Colts. So tonights Fins win makes me go Hmm.....
  5. Does anyone know if (when for Pats fans... ) the Bengals lose next week that there would be a scenario to have them mathematically eliminated before playing us the very next week?
  6. Manning is on a record streak, he'll have the Td record I'm sure by that game, but he's going for the yardage record as well, and this is a team that keeps throwing when they are up by 30 points, so I doubt they'll rest, it's not their nature.
  7. All In – Can the Bills run the table this year? Seems a bit optimistic that they think the Jets and Bronco's completely disintegrate by losing 4 out of their last 5, but seeing this from a Patriots source does make you wonder if this could turn into a special year from the Bills.
  8. Interesting scheduling down the stretch. This week the Pats played the Browns Next week the Bills play the Browns. Next week the Pats play the Bengals A week after, the Bills play the Bengals second to last game of the year, Bills play the 49'ers Last game of the year, the Pats play the 49'ers.
  9. Jets + 12.5 & Giants +0.5
  10. It's the most mobile/fastest QB in the NFL........Mr. Michael Vick. The slowest and the fastest Qb's in the NFL share something...go figure! LOL
  11. Moss has been doing this whole career, nothing new there...LOL I wonder how Dallas feels, though. They passed on Mosss (as did a lot of teams) and Mosss so desparetly wanted to be a Cowboy. The Cowboys did the same thing this year with Steven Jackson, who like Moss wanted to be a cowboy so badly. I hope the Cowboys choke on the Bills first round pick next year.....
  12. Looking at the WHOLE TEAM, there is no one making THE play. You pointed out the offenses miscues, but there are some glaring weaknesses all over this TEAM that are being overshadowed because of the Bledsoe bashing that is so in vogue today (I'm not saying you're one of them) The special team blunders costing the team great field position on Sunday, and a crucial Missed FG in week one. The defense: In 2 games they allowed THREE 4th down conversions with the game on the line, and a 3rd and 27 conversion for a TD in Oakland. If we take Bledsoe out of the argument for a moment, this TEAM, had they played some decent fundamental football, should be 2-0. Both games they should have scored at least 20 points, and given up no TD's on defense and had a special team that would be very impressive. All that with Bledsoe so called crappy play. If the QB is the problem with this team, then I want to see a new QB than can catch, block, knock Passes down, don't let receivers get behind him on a 3rd and long, not hold on returns, take stupid penalties, etc, etc, etc. Folks blame it on Bledsoe it's easy, it's sweet and simple and makes one not see what's really the problem, the Bills are not a very good TEAM
  13. He picked the Bills to win the AFC East this year.... Hodge likes the Bills
  14. Or getting rid of the ball quickly as he's been told to do time after time this whole off season. Or no confidence in an OL that has played very little as a unit this year. Or was just shocked that Moulds, MOULDS, was all alone with no one around him by at least 20 yards. How many times does that happen? I hope I'm right, and Drew is the guy for Buffalo.
  15. WR's can't really beat a cover 2 defense. It's designed to give double coverage on the outside for the CB's. The cover 2 is known as the "bend but don't break defense". It's designed to avoid the big plays up top, but gives plenty of space underneath, so a team needs to be patient and take what's given to them. The cover 2 is very vulnerable to plays down the middle. The QB needs to look off the safety to make sure the middle is open, but he needs to make a very dangerous throw as well. Throw the ball short it's picked off by the LB'ers, throw it long and the safety will get it. The thing about cover 2 is that teams generally can roll up big yards on them, but tend not to score many points. The biggest reason is that most offenses can't stay disciplined long enough, and make mistakes that lead to miss opportunities. Although the Bills seem to have the short passing game to be successful against the Cover 2 (Unlike in 2002 with Killdrive trying to bang the offenses heads into the cover 2 wall by continuing to throw over the cover 2) the big question is will the Bills show the discipline required to cash in once they get the ball close, and as of now it's not been done, but Sunday could be a good time to start..
  16. I'll give you what you're looking for. Take the Packers (-9) at home over the Bears. Root for the Cards to beat the Pats. In these elimination/suicide pools, NEVER, I mean NEVER take a road team until it's absolutely necessary.
  17. A Patriot fan siding with a Patriot fan. What's next for you guys, 6 shows a week at the Sands... But Rocky won in Rocky IV.....
  18. The Bills are starting from scratch, which just shows how bad the previous regime screwed things up. The plan is not to run the ball 60% and throw dink and dunks, because all personal moves suggest otherwise. Keeping Bledsoe at his high salary, drafting a speedy WR and a QB in the first round that isn't known to "manage" games, so why are the bills doing this now? Do you really think they did that just to play conservative football? The slow Conservative start on offense is product of laying the ground work of a solid offensive foundation, the fact the OL hasn't played a lot of time because of injuries during the pre-season, a new offense, and undoing the screw up of Killdrive. Once you establish the foundation, you can then start adding things to it, and with that, it begins to snow ball making it a much more effective offense and much harder to stop, by having many facets and avoiding the downfall that the previous offensive coaches saw once their quick but unsound strategy of using the QB's big arm and eschewing the basics of a good solid offense failed. I am very happy with how Mularkey is bringing this offense into respectability, and hopefully into a power house. I'm very happy with starting conservative, because it just shows how inept the previous regime was, and how smart the new one is to take it slowly and ignore such sky is falling mentality from an impatient fan base. I'm happy they kept Drew, drafted a speedy WR, and a Young QB that has a big arm, takes chances like a gambler, and is very mobile, which all points to how this staff is going toward making the offense a powerhouse of running and throwing for now and the future. That's what all Bills fan should be saying, unfortunately, there seems to be some so impatient and so fixated on ONE person and seem to miss the big picture!
  19. Poor Florida (Did I say that?) The Dolphins have had one of the most bizarre off seasons in NFL, and now the state is going to be hit with a major Hurricane for the SECOND time within 2 weeks.
  20. I predict the game will be played in Jacksonville......
