I don't know - maybe Christie was seeing Carpenter struggle, and just wanted to offer some tips on how to kick good at the Ralph (New Era). Pass on some info on the swirling winds, direction, etc. What if Jim Kelly approached Losman / Edwards / Fitz / Orton / Tyrod, to pass on some advice (if they were receptive to it), and the GM told Kelly to get lost. How would that fly? Need to show a little respect for the accomplished alumni who want to help get the franchise back on track.

I too, am an old timer (was old enough to remember the 60's Bills on TV & radio). I have "OJ Education of a Rich Rookie" and a bunch of others. I particularly like Marv Levy's book "Where Else Would You Rather Be?". It's a good read. Also have "By A Nose" and "Instant Replay". Might dust off the cobwebs and give them another read this winter!

Too much media hype now! I HATE the halftime shows. Who cares what Lady Goo Goo has planned. This is about the game of football, not self-promoting "stars". The commercials used to be fun.
