  1. Be as good as what we have. Just get ANYBODY whose done the job! SOON!
  2. Yeah, Crestman should be considered. The Rough Riders ST coach, not so much. 13 girls on the field! lol
  3. could you f'n shrten it up?
  4. yeah, great win, Bills lol
  5. Stay out of the room, Thurman, It's over.
  6. lose 'em all. Best bet, buddy
  7. Nothing will work. Ralph is n charge.
  8. No, went home before TO got to the endzone.
  9. Yup we need to copy Atlanta's approach: get a Dimitroff, then a HC like Mike Smith. Instead, we've got an incompetent owner and COO running around interviewing mirages.
  10. You have this about right. Naturally, they are going all out to get an over-the-hill, self-absorbed HC like MS or BC, when they should be jettisoning Brandon and finding another GM like Polian was when he started and then re-building from the top. The next HC should be way down the line and , as you say, a young man with hungry eyes. So, 1. Fire Russ, Littman and the whole FO 2. Find the GM 3. GM finds his scouts 4. GM find his HC 5. HC finds his assistants 6. GM drafts some play-makers
  11. Depends which of the "sure-fire" studs are still there when we pick, which would be 6th, I believe, if we picked today. So, if Suh or Okung were there, you'd take one of them. If not, then maybe Gerald McCoy or McClain or Trent Williams. In other words, the best non-QB/WR who's there.
  12. Agree with the OP that Scott played well at LB. He has always outplaued Whitner at SS too. He's a keeper. Whether we stay 4-3 or gp to a 3-4 next year, we need two or three REAL line-backers. There are some in the first round like McLain and Weatherpoon and Spikes and hopefully some FAs. Our secondary is set (don't need slow and small Whitner anymore) and we have players on the D-line too. Line-backers is what we need; even Poz is weak at this position.
  13. As usual, Ralphie is going about his "clean-up" ass-backwards. They need the football mind first and that sure isn't Brandon. So until Russ is gone, along with the rest of the FO monkeys, it is pointless to talk about a coach, who is about the 10th consideration. Once the GM/President of Football operations is found, then the real hiring begins. Problem is, if Ralph cleaned out the stable, he (and his buddy Marv} would be the one left finding the football mind and how do you think that would go? Coach-talk is wildly pre-mature.
  14. I thought fewell did ok considering he has players like this starting: Kelsay, Whitner, Pozlusny, Kraft, Corner, McKennie, Nelson, Scott (Jonathon), Chambers and Fitzgerald. I could mention others. But Fewell runs a Tampa 2, so there is no defense for him as either HC or DC.
  15. Just watched Boomer Esiason on CBS and Bradshaw + Howie Young on Fox say with absolute certainty that Shanahan would never "lower" himself to sign on with the Bills. Probably means he'll sign next week.
  16. In defense of "Spartacus" and in spite of your "breaking" story on Wilson, he is right about the local media covering the Bills. Guys like Gaughn, Hamilton, the Rochester guy and the TV types seldom ask tough questions, initiate interviews with Bills brass or break stories like DJ's firing. Why should the NFL Network be the first to tell us that Dick was gone? In defense of the OP, there certainly IS an interesting story behind the Edwards benching at Tennessee and the continued benching this week. What the hell happened? I know he made three straight bad throws, but had been doing alright until then. Were they deliberate misses because TO pissed off Trent? Was that a deliberate interception? Something is going on and has been all year between the receivers (Evans in particular) and Edwards. Be nice to find out or at least ask the question. Teams don't usually abandon their starting QB this abruptly.
  17. Just selling, as usual (this time, tickets to Toronto game).
  18. We're looking at 3-13 either way, so it matters little which poor sucker gets beat up behind this line. The next regime will make their own decisions about TE and RF, so who starts or plays matters not for the rest of this season. Persona;;y, I see no reason to pull Edwards, especially if it because that putz Owens is behind it.
  19. Next firing MUST be Brandon.
  20. Heard Mike Lombardi on GR this morning (the substance is in his article today in nationalfootballpost.com). He sees the need to build a team around Buffalo's weather, cold and windy. Similar to Pittsburgh's. Therefore, you axe Brandon, hire a football guy who starts with this tough guy philosophy, brings in a front office and scouts who start looking for a, a QB whose throws "cut through the wind" b, dominant lines c, big linebackers In short, you need a BIG team. Not the small, fast Tampa 2 types like Whitner who are always injured. Once you have your organization set up to start the player search (and cutting of our current small guys), then you hire a coach who is on board with and used to working with big boys. Suddenly, the Bills have an identity. Unfortunately, the ideal guy to start with is up in the booth in Miami. We can't get him, but Cowher and others who have this philosophy are out there. Until you get that guy, things will remain the same: Tampa philosphy in Buffalo weather.
  21. Only one reason Wilson does anything, to sell tickets and make money. Tickets in Toronto are not selling, hence time to do something.
  22. To Mr. Ralph Wilson, the double bird.
