  1. You are absolutely right. These coordinators should be interviewed, all of them. But they won't. This is Wilson's team.
  2. Is it better (for us) if Frazier's D looks good or horrible against the Cowboys? Is it better (for us) if the Vikings are put out and Frazier is now available, or better if they win and we get to see more of his D? Jason Garrett is also a name brought up, so do you want to see his offense look good or bad, the Cowboys get put out or continue on? As for Grimm, do you want the Cards to lose so he can make up his mind or win and drag things out? Looks like it doesn't matter about Schottenheimer, but wouldn't it be better if he eats some humble pie and the Chargers shut out the Jets? Is there an ideal scenario, so far as the Great Quest for a Coach is concerned?
  3. Doesn't really matter what we like. The only guy they've interviewed or who even wanted an interview is Frazier and they'll be damn lucky if even he takes the offer. (Yeah, I know, I didn't count Fewell. That's because it was a token interview. They knew he wouldn't be accepted here by the fans.)
  4. More of a 3-4 ILB, as is Poz. If we stay, 4-3...we would have two ILbs and only Mitchell on the outside, becaue Poz would be too slow out there. He'll be gone by 9 anyway. Better to concentrate on which OT still available would work out left at left tackle.
  5. Likely scenario at the end of it all: HC Kelly OC Van Pelt DC Talley No one else will come.
  6. Not sure if I would want MM in Buffalo with his pass-first philosophy. We need a Steeler approach.
  7. Tim, You seem high on young Schottenheimer, but is success as an OC not primarily due to a bevy of first round picks as Olinemen and QB? How does being a wizard coordinator loaded with personnel translate into a good HC? Isn't this just a coin toss if he's brought in or are you thinking his dad will also play a role?
  8. 4 first round offensive linemen, three pro bowlers this year and one in other years. Think they might be the reason for the best rushing record.
  9. A nicely summarized elegy, Kiper's Hair, depressing but accurate. I don't like the word "deserve", but it is probably reality that the old dog won't recover.
  10. You are right about the O-line that BS inherited. Mangini left it there for him. And now he has a first round draft pick at QB who is getting better every game. All this makes him look good. Would he be any good here as HC? who knows? His offense does look intricate and he runs it nicely, so I wouldn't mind seeing if he was interested. Hopefully his dad will talk him into it, because I think he'd be hesitant about leaving a team on the rise to come here. (Not that I am a Jet fan at all.)
  11. Whoever hired those two Washington bleeps should be fired today.
  12. Did any of you McNabb fans watch Saturday's game?
  13. Maybe the next Marv Levy is Mark trestman, HC of the Montreal Alouettes. He has had a much better record than Levy did in Canada (won a couple Grey Cups) and is a wizardly offensive mind. If he got the Bills to four Superbowls, he'd probably win at least one.
  14. Marv knew how to pick those "character guys" with limited talent. Or was that Modrak's doing? You know, the guy who still has a job at OBD.
  15. It tells me everything. We aren't going to get "a splashy name" as our HC. Get ready for more second tier talent.
  16. The Rams need a QB, and will try to trade that first pick to a team they know will slobber over Suh. But whoever ends up picking first, Rams or someone they can con into giving up picks - like Buffalo - will be happy to pay Suh top dollar. Looks like he'll be worth it too. I'd certainly hand it to him, knowing he'll start and be a factor from day 1 than any sketchy QB comi ng out this year, including that ND kid.
  17. Right, but his wife might like it there and from what I hear, she's the one who doesn't want to live in Buffalo.
  18. Voted the best OT, who I think is Bulaga. Would pick McClain but he'll be gone now.
  19. Snead is horrible, maybe the worst "name" college QB I've seen play. His lack of accuracy makes JP look like Brady.
  20. They are actually quite happy. Why wouldn't they be? Mangini has done a strong job with the players he'd had to work with.
  21. I'd actually prefer someone else to a guy who enjoys prostituting himself with a stupid grin once a week on a pre-game tv show where other cretins refer to him as "Coach". $10 mil could be better invested by Smithers and Burns.
