  1. Thanks. Might just be a stop-gap play, but better than nothing. I mean, it's only Ralph's money and he won't need it for long.
  2. That's exactly the menu that Buddy needs to order up. He might get one of two of those needs filled in the draft, but unless Ralph says yes to FA bucks, poor Buddy is gonna wish he'd stayed a scout.
  3. Man, what a sad list of QBs. Edwards is as good as most, so might as well give him and Ryan another shot. I wouldn't give up much for McNabb, though he is the best if this sad bunch. I wouldn't spend a 1 for any of the rookies coming out either. So we end up back at Ryan, Bryan and Trent. Don't we?
  4. You may not be right about Stallworth, but you are right about the glaring need for some receivers. Evans, Johnson, Hardy...we are really going to win with them?
  5. Vick makes the most sense. Hope they don't give up much to get him.
  6. Our new ass. GM might lure Casey Hampton away from Steelers, since we have no NT. Anyone know if he's any good?
  7. He's done (one year wonder). Lucky to get a 7th round pick for him. Guys like him are a dime a dozen anyway.
  8. Whitner = bust Hardy = bust Maybin = bust Lynch = pretty much a bust yet Modrak drafts once again for the bust-ridden Buffalo Bills
  9. This will likely re-inforce Schobel's decision to retire and it certainly makes Rolando McClain more likely to be drafted than one of the OTs everyone has been touting. Kyle Williams and McCargo may be tried as NT until they find somebody more suited for it.
  10. Yeah, like Parcells is going to deal away anybody to the Bills worth having.
  11. I - like most - thought Edwards was going to be the next franchise QB. But everything fizzled after that concussion in Arizona, evenn if he had a couple good games after that. I would really like to see him flourish under a new HC, but I'm afraid his confidence is beyond saving. Sad to say, too many Bills "fans" have turned on him for him to get a fair chance in this town. Best thing for him is to get traded or cut. I suspect he'll do better elsewhere. Hope I'm wrong. Who we'll end up with is probably Fitzgerald, McNabb, Vick or Orton, unless Brohm suddenly blossoms.
  12. Point is, you don't take an iffy QB at #9 when there are sure-fire OTs like Davis and Bulaga or LBs like McClain available. Bills cannot afford another miss in first round.
  13. Well, where else would I get it? It's obviously just my impression after watching the draft for years when plenty of opportunites were there for them to trade down.
  14. In the past, the Bills have simply been too lazt to work out the complications of a trade-down. This year, I agree that it makes a lot of sense to trade down. I mean, there are about five first round OTs available and the best guard in the draft, Iupati, looks like he can also play tackle. But this is the Bills we are talking about. If there is a trade-down, it would give me a lot of confidence in Nix and Co. On other hand, no-one is going to want one of this year's QB as high as 9. However, if McClain was still there when we pick, Denver or Miami might want him.
  15. Screw Polian. he left a real city for the corn-fed midwest. Go over to the Colts message board if you love him so much.
  16. If you're right, they should trade him. But I think it's just YOUR perception. He is undersized and overpaid. Maybe a 4th or 5th.
  17. WR Blair White looked like a bigger Wel Welker in this game. Was everywhere, caught everything, especially in traffic. Probably won't even get drafted. Two QBs looked good: that Penn State kid, Daryl Ward, is built like McNabb, and Mike Kafka brought the East back during a NFL-like two minute drill. The one with the big arm is Skelton from Fordham. All worth watching at the combine. Interested in brian Griese's comment about Tebow: "He simply doesn't have the arm to be a full-time NFL QB". Todd McShay said he thought there is only one QB worth a first round pick and that is Bradford... IF his shoulder comes back.
  18. What kind of a pick could they get for Evans? Yep, thought so.
  19. They were equally impressive from what I saw (admittedly a limited amount). Both very stout run blockers and for their size, very athletic. They can actually pull like guards to the opposite side. Davis likely a bit more athletic, Bulaga probably the one with less character risk. I would not be disappointed with either. There is a third and fourth choice too, in Campbell and Trent Williams. (Okung will be gone) Whichever they figure is the best fit. Rolando McClain will likely be gone, but if he isn't and we have decided to run a 3-4, there would be a helluva dilemma whether to pick him or one of the OTs, because he is superior to them in superstar potential. If we stay with a 4-3 and think Poz is an OK MLB, then picking McClain wouldn't make sense.
