  1. Is Sullivan the new sheriff of Buffalo? "Edwards is finished in this town". He and his posse will round up anybody who doesn't fit the small-town image and escort them to the southern tier. Quite a joke, that Sully.
  2. I'd trade him for a decent offer, considering he is a fast, smallish outside receiver who seldom changes games but demands a huge salary cap hit. Doubt if we'd get that decent offer from anyone, though. Maybe Cleveland.
  3. I think this is all that needs to be said about the upcoming draft.
  4. Agreed with this about Scott. He is a player, unlike Whitner. Keep him (Scott) to play SS.
  5. Guess you haven't heard we're moving to a 3-4. A little detail you might keep in mind. Right now, Stroud, Williams and Johnson make numbnuts a backup, an expensive backup. OK?
  6. Well, this is the #9 question right now. They'll be divided over which way to go. To me, Bradford would not be the choice so it comes down to McClain, Bulaga and Davis if all are still there, which I doubt. If I were the GM, I'd spend most of the combine talking to those 3 players and watching their tape. If it's a wash, I'd take McClain because of the 3-4 switch. Then OT in round 2.
  7. We need linebackers and I think he's one with a little experience and size. Why not? We brought in TO.
  8. McNobb not worth any kind of draft sacrifice. Use #9 for McClain or a LT. I'll give Philly Whitner straight up for one of their QBs. Let Buddy keep his draft picks and see what it brings. That's the one thing he is supposed to be good at.
  9. They'll just bring back TO (he has nowhere else to go) and sign Vick. That'll do it for most of the suckers.
  10. Watched a lot of Mississippi games this year and Snead was the worse college QB I've ever seen. He is as inaccurate as a blind man pissing in a toilet.
  11. Well, we're definitely gonna need a LT and WR who can play. Don't know much about the Georgia Tech receiver, but I'm sure Chan does. Anyone else watch him?
  12. I guess we'll see come April. If they pick a LT or LB instead of a QB, I'll feel better.
  13. Up until now, this has been a surprisngly good thread. I thought everyone would take their usual juvenile pot shots at TE, but instead showed great awareness and compassion for a guy whose career went from potential greatness to ruin in such a short time. All the reasons expect one have been mentioned already, so I'll just add it here. Lee Evans has always seemed to sulk since Edwards replaced his buddy Losman and I think this year, he and TO more or less ganged up on Jauron and the coaches until they were convinced Fitzpatrick gave them a better chance to go deep. It's a new regime in Buffalo, but I don't think they'll solve the chemistry problem between TE and LE. One has to go and we all know who it will be.
  14. No, you're not the only one. I think it makes much more sense for THEM to see what they have before going to trade route. Maybe they'll get one of them working. If not, hello Mike Vick and welcome to your new home.
  15. Keep what we have, draft Pike and see what happens. We need an OT and a NT before a QB.
  16. LOVE to see him gone. Wikson and Scott are better. ANYTHING we get for the dud would be a bonus. Maybe he can join Ko Simpson, wherever he is these days. Great draft, FO.
  17. Polian made the choice of sitting starters the last two games to give his team a better chance of winning the Super Bowl. Not only did he fail, but he tainted the NFL in the process. Baseball crucified Pete Rose for betting on games, but meanwhile the NFL does nothing when one of their teams essentially throws games. Sure, Polian is a good judge of talent, but his career has been tarnished by five SB losses and that decision to lay down against the Jets and the Bills. Nice win, Saints.
  18. Looked good on Simms when, just as he advised Gregg Williams not to blitz, the Saints D blitzed and Tracey Porter intercepted Manning, thus ending the game. Way to go, big mouth Phil. Great call.
  19. Like Coach Dickerson used to say, "Gotta go big" in the early rounds. That means two of either an OT, NT or LB in first two rounds. No QB worth taking there anyway. Buffalo needs some beef.
  20. All mock drafts suggest that Suh and G, McCoy will be gone - long gone - by 9, so it isn't worth worrying about, but if for some weird reason one of them slipped, where do they fit in a 3-4? DE? NT?
  21. Assumption #1: Schobel is interested in returning and can actually play OLB Assumption #2: The Bills take Rolando McClain at #9 Mitchell, McClain, Pozluzney, Schobel What do you think? Assumption #3: Schobel retires or is traded Assumption #4: The Bills go offense at #9 Mitchell, FA, Poz, Maybin Who is the free agent? Would Maybin be a bust as a OLB? I'm hoping for assumption 1 and 2 to come true.
  22. Possibly. But if Johnson and Stroud can play there and we get someone like Casey Hampton to play NT on running-downs, Williams could move to the nose on passing downs. So, DE: Stroud, Williams, Johnson, Kelsay NT: Hampton, Williams, McCargo Wouldn't be wonderful, but no worse than last year with Schobel and Kelsay on the ends.
