  1. I hate the Jets, but the game means nothing, so it's better to lose for our future. Second pick gets you either Luck or the best defensive player in college. Think about it.
  2. Nice one. I like the looks of Kerrigan. Maybe not a wide receiver this year though.
  3. There is a good story brewing here. I mean what Gailey is doing with this crew of misfits. Too bad they haven't won enough games to get the attention of outside media (local media aren't capable of doing the full story). Maybe over the summer or next year.
  4. We won nothing with lee Evans and now that he is out, we win. Some people argue just to be heard. Why wouldn't you try to get something for him and if you can't, cut him to use salary on somebody in a position of NEED?
  5. "Hands" Nelson. Does he ever drop one? that was a great catch on the TD.
  6. It is funny to see some still defending Lee Evans after a game in which undrafted FA receivers and a 7th rounder caught balls he never would have, especially those two in the Dolphoms' end zone. Really funny. Evans has got a free ride since he's been here. It has always been the QB's fault. I'm sure Gailey has it figured out and won't be surprised if Lee has seen his last game in a Bills uniform. If si, I won't miss him. He's the offensive Donte Whitner.
  7. I too would take a 3rd or better for him. I mean, the odds are pretty good that you would be getting a young player just as good as little lee and at a position of need.
  8. I won't miss him/ Like the performance of young Nelson, who can actually get open and catch the ball. Likewise the Jones kid. Who needs and overpaid softie?
  9. How many game-winning TDs has he thrown? How many in "garbage time"? He still has a lot to prove.
  10. Amen to #6. He probably learned a lot about his other receivers too and nothing good. 11. Kyle Williams can be made to look silly be good O-linemen. 12. CJ isn't what he hoped for.
  11. Exactly right. It starts with ownership, then the GM, then the coach, then the scouting. Get this right and you probably end up drafting the best players and putting them in position to win. Buffalo can't do this because of what's at the top right now. But neither can most NFL teams; there are only a few Pioli/Belichecks around. I still like Nix and Gailey however and will give them a year or so, then maybe the young, assistant GM from pittsburgh will take over.
  12. Threads like this will just encourage the FO to extend this weak safety.
  13. We got Bruce with first overall pick, which we've blown. We got Bennett in a blockbuster trade. Until we get those two pieces, there will be no repeat of the late eighties.
  14. It's the punishment for craving attention. Otherwise known as "Owensitis".
  15. Fitzgerald didn't play like this with Jauron and his offensive coaches. He looks like a new man. Even Evans - who is getting the ball much - has said this is the first offensive mind he has seen in Buffalo.
  16. I thought Dick Lebeau's famed blitz packages would have shut down Buffalo. I mean. Chan is working with mostly ft picks and UFAs on offense against Lebeau's high draft pick/pro bowl defense and still gives Pittsburgh all they can handle. I kept waiting in the second half and overtime to see what Lebeau would do to sack Ryan, but every time they showed him on the sidelines, Dick looked perplexed. He couldn't figure out Chan's plan! Couldn't penetrate our vaunted O-line! Give Gailey a little more talent, Buddy, and see what he does next year.
  17. Some guys are in the NFL, some are players. Williams is a player. Nice to see some of the younger guys playing more and make small contributions. Troup, Carrington on defense; and on offense, Nelson, the two linemen on the right side, even the running back.
  18. Wins like these two only mean you lower your draft pick. Detroit without Stafford, Cinci without 3/4 of their secondary in the second half. Now if they beat Pittsburgh or some other team at full strength, THAT would be meaningful and suggest that maybe they might be a good team.
  19. Does anyone know why Jake Locker didn't come out last year when his stock was so high? He looks horrible this year, almost like that Snead kid who stayed in school last year and bombed (don't think he even got drafted). This is a lesson for Mr. Luck. Never turn down an opportunity, as my dad used to say. Poor Jake must wish he had gone a year early. A sobering thought is that Luck might regress like Snead and Locker.
  20. Unfortunately, for the future, they will probably beat gutless Cinci, Favre-led Vikings, still hapless Browns, Qb-less Dolphins and Jets who rest their starters. That's a Jauron-like 6-10 and we end up with another maybin.
