  1. Thank goodness, Whitner and Evans, two of the leagues biggest imposters, are off this team. Nice moves, Buddy. Add Paul P to that list.
  2. Think you have figured our Schoop. If I was his father, I'd tell him to grow a pair. God help us, however, because now he's a "father". which apparently - to him - worth wasting listeners' time about.
  3. To the OP, great and relevant rant. The lockout is squarely on the shoulders of Ralph and his fellow billionaire owners. I feel sorry for the taxpayers of Erie County who are getting screwed yearly by this old man in Detroit. When sports fans will wake up to the giant ripoff that is the NFL Incorporated, I'll never know.
  4. Taxpayers like those in Erie County should be suing owners like Wilson into the stone age if this lockout continues.
  5. Enjoy your retirement in Florida, Tom, though it won't be much of a difference. Can't wait for next year's draft.
  6. ESPN "experts" don't watch him like we do. They don't watch Bills games.
  7. I want to see this guy eating wings. And then Tom Brady's legs.
  8. Backs up Scott for a while, then takes over. Good special teamer too.
  9. Rather pick a SS in the fourth with Nix than one in the first with Levy! (We know how that turned out). Glad to see Whitner is no longer needed.
  10. Yep, just watch old BB screw us roayally again. I agree, if he takes Ayers, then we should take the next best LB.
  11. This is just the kind of thing that Buffalo does: reach for McCargo-like talent by trading up.
  12. Talk about reading into things! Chan told the interviewer exactly 0!
  13. Washington wants Gabbert, according to NFL Network this morning, and are willing to move up as far as # 2 to get him. What does this mean for the Bills? 1. It would be a great move imo if the Bills say to the Redskins, "never mind going to #2, because Denver aint pickin Gabbert, but the bengals will, so come to us". We would pick lower yet still get a top DE or DT in the first, plus a lot of extra picks, maybe a #1 next year, which could turn out to be Andrew Luck. 2. We stand pat, and the first two picks are QBs, leaving us with Dareus or Miller. I would take Door #1.
  14. Thanks, Beerball. The interesting statement to me is that Nix said stopping the run is more important than rushing the passer. Interesting because that eliminates DEs and OLBs who are small eg Miller I would guess their 3 names are, in order: Newton, Gabbert, Dareus. Bet on one of those.
  15. for christs sake, get a qb...you have the 3rd pick for a reason. Take Newton or Gabbert or whoever, but Ryan will never ever ever do anything worthwhile. How many more years are you gonna be satisfied with a "Fitz"?
  16. Let's face it. Ralph, Rogers and Russ's dream of Regionalization is not going to work. No-one in toronto is interested in a team that plays a game or two in the city and Buffalo fans don't want to go to them either. It was a one-off scheme by Wilson to get money and Rogers to bring a team to Toronto. It will end after the contract is up in two years. Toronto may eventually have its own team and Buffalo may not have a team, but this grade-school sharing scheme will never work.
  17. While I suspect you are correct about the masses keeping the NFL afloat, I also believe the OP is on to something. Right now anyway, with the league in limbo, I feel a strange lethargy towards football. There is a good article in the Tornnto Globe & Mail today that shows how the people of Toronto could care less about the Bills playing in their city. Jacksonville is almost done with the league too. Concussions are part of it, but just the tip of an iceberg that seems to be turning away from football and heading out into the Atlantic, towards Europe and perhaps world soccer. Something different anyway. Football is a lot like smokers...unhealthy and outdated. I doubt if I'll stop watching it if it ever re-emerges, but like I said, I feel little else but boredom now that baseball's here.
  18. I chose newton because Cam is a more manly name than Blaine. We all know Trent didn't fit Buffalo's manly tradition because of his name, whereas Fitz (not Ryan) is just perfect. In Buffalo, it's all about a QB's name. Go Cam, go.
  19. Thanks Beerball for the link, your posts are consistently the best, I've noticed). Good stuff, especially the bit about the Bills. I agree with Myock when he says, if you have the #3 pick and you even wonder if a franchise QB is available, you take him ahead of all other needs. That means Newton or Gabbert, depending what Chan and Buddy like. More fuel for this is Mayock's comment that there are 7 or 8 first round DEs available and that a couple will slip to second round, which means we can get one at 32 easily. Not worth taking one with pick #3.
  20. Ralph wants Cam = Ralph gets Cam = Ralph sells tickets, jerseys, beer. Cam at #3 (and not Cam Jordan).
  21. Yep, just savin Ralph money. That's all it's about. Good luck, Marcus...you gave an effort and are probably better off going elsewhere.
  22. Yeah, right, Young is not a smart guy. Someone has already listed his achievements here, but if you have just watched football, you know he's intelligent. He was also very athletic, but nowhere near Newton's size. Nothing racist, just trying to estimate what we could have in Cam Newton at 3. I would be happy if he was anything close to Young or any of the other QBs I mentioned. he is certainly worth a shot in the first round unless something very negative crops up as the Bills study him.
