Thanks for letting us know about the Whaley session. I am very surprised he was that open with fans. Liked what he had to say about P. Brown, EJ and A. Williams. He seems like a man who can build a team and is very tuned in to college players and their coaches. Might be wishing he had a couple more draft picks next year.
Some of these comments make be believe people think being a QB in the NFL is the equivalent of running a cash register at 7-11.
He's a kid who or may not be a starter in the NFL, but give him a break and hope for the best. That's what I'll be doing if and when Orton goes down. Or even if he doesn't.
The OP creates a fantastic, well-written halftime assessment and you continue to harp on how much you love Marrone.
Appreciate a good thread instead of going on and on about "proof".
Great piece, Simon. Please forward it to T. and K. Pegula because this is exactly what they need to hear.
May the exorcism begin!
Just one question: is Schwartz your next HC or do you have someone else in mind?
Orton has always been under-appreciated in my mind, but in the minds of most NFL coaches he's a back-up. I'd love to see him prove them wrong, but it is more likely that I am wrong.
If they win, just wait to hear Marrone huffin and puffin afterwards. "Well, you know, our D was playing great so we just tried to stay conservative. No need to take chances."
