  1. Why you ask? Maybe because we know that if the Washington or Seattle job was still open I guarantee Brian Schott would interview with them. It is due to the fact that Buffalo is a hopeless organization that needs a complete makeover and why would any young coaching candidate want to potentially damage his career by coming here. There are no long term plans for the franchise, you have guys in the front office that were hired by someone who was fired years ago and that dont know their ass from their elbow, no qb, no offensive line, and no direction going forward. It is just depressing looking at the current state of the Bills and being such a big fan I can honestly it sucks thinking this way. I don't know what to think anymore, but I do know major changes are needed. I mean come on we can't even get an average o-coord to want to interview with us.
  2. A couple of tweets later Schefter said it is a joke. He is still an ass for putting it up there because now thousands of Buffalo fans are going to think it's true.
  3. Seattle didn't wait long as they gave the Vikings a call to talk to Frazier. It will be interesting to see how this has an impact on the Buffalo job.
  4. Suh maybe the only sure fire player in the draft, taking one of the quarterbacks is more of a risk then drafting him. Bradfrod has shoulder problems, Claussen now has some injury concerns and there are a lot of questions about his character. I just don't understand how you're even trying to make this point. He will be taken in the top three picks, he is being considered one of the best defensive line prospects in the last 20 years.
  5. I dont think there is anyway that you get Sam Bradford and Anthony Davis because they will be gone in the top-15. I like the thought of it, but you would have to give up a lot to get back into a position to get both of them. One thing I would like to see is a different backup for Fred Jackson. I think Lynch has worn out his welcome in Buffalo and could use a change of sceneary. Josh Reed most likely will not be back next year because he is frustrated that during his tenure with the Bills they haven't made the playoffs once. There will be a lot of wide receivers available in the mid to later rounds of the draft.
  6. Getting McClain would be huge, it would give us the play making linebacker that we've lacked for years.
  7. There is no way that Suh will fall to us at nine. If St. Louis is stupid enough to pass on him then Detriot will take him at two.
  8. Who are some guys everyone would like to see come in and run the defense?
  9. Like I said he wouldn't have to come back as the DC. I just like the fact that he has a lot of experience working in 3-4 defenses and even he came back as a defensive consultant I think it would help. If you look around the NFL the top defenses every year use a 3-4 scheme (Ravens, Steelers, Packers, Jets... etc). I agree I am sick of seeing the Bills put out a passive defense that plays bend, but dont break football. The team needs a change and I think Cottrell could help in changing things over.
  10. Cottrell is an experienced defensive coach that is considered one of the best at putting together a 3-4 defense. He has significant Buffalo ties, as well as, some time spent with the Chargers. If not as a defensive coordinator, maybe he can be brought in for some other type of position on the defensive side of the ball. I have not heard any rumors about Cottrell, this is just a thought I had because he always put together tough defenses while with the Bills.
  11. John Clayton was just on WGR 550 and he said to keep a close eye on the Schottenheimers. He wouldn't be surprised with the connection of Nix that they both end up with the Bills and one of them will serve as head coach and the other as offensive coordinator.
  12. Bruce Carter and Marvin Austin said they're returning to school next season, but if they weren't I like their upsides.
  13. Him falling on his face is still better than Maybin's pass rush.
  14. I recently moved to a town near Philadelphia and after watching Jason Peters make his preseason debut last week he looked terrible. Granted it was his first appearance, but he looked out of sync and just slow. I am glad the Bills got rid of him because he turned into a cocky, lazy player that will never be as productive as he was two season ago. Give the current line some time and they will get better. And I say good luck to Mcnabb with an overpaid left tackle watching his back
  15. I would try and sign him to a two year contract. Either that or sign him to a one year deal with an option for a second depending on how he plays this year. Just a thought keep the feedback coming....
  16. What about looking into brining in Sean Jones or Jermaine Phillips for a look. Phillips plays SS and Jones plays FS so would have some options with both of these guys.
  17. The way its looking right now the Bills should forget about signing Coles and try to sign veteran WR Amani Toomer. At 35 he still has a few good years left and will be a perfect complement to Evans. At 6-3 he could be the big target the Bills are looking for and he could serve as a mentor to James Hardy. He had 48 catches last year for 580 yards which are pretty solid numbers for a number two reciever. Not to mention he will come at a much cheaper price than what Coles is asking. Let me know what you think I am just puzzled at why the Bills wouldn't even consider bringing him in for a visit.
