I meant giving money to Incognito. Every man has a price, even if he didnt want to play in Buffalo. I am glad we didn't though he is not a top Lineman basically just a journeyman. Not to mention we were looking for tackles and he is a guard. I am with you I dont think Butler would have played even for more money.

Incognito would have been nice to keep but I think Brad Butler retiring set our O-line back more than not giving him money to stay. Just a random thought....a little off topic.

Don't get me wrong...I think we are in need of some upgrades but my biggest O-line concern is the push when we need to run the ball. As stated the pass protection can be helped with short quick patterns but there aren't any play calls to help them line up and push the D-line back on 3rd and 1.

I agree, our defense was not the problem at all. Our offense has blown since the second year Bledsoe was here. Even his first year that he had all the passing yards we still couldnt convert 3rd and short. We beefed up a little at LB and our DB's are solid...we need to gut the offense and bring the heat on defense. Our DB's can cover, I say stick them in man (bump coverage) and blitz. 3-4 or 4-3 our defense is not the problem, they were playing the entire game.
