  1. And that's all Holt has to be is better than Aiken. But, I will say this. Holt, with his brains, hands and experience, in combination with Moss outside and Welker/Edelman inside, could make for a very intriguing target for Brady.
  2. Desperate would be signing a slew of players hoping that a bunch of them will stick and contribute. The Pats have been anything but that this offseason indicating that they are perfectly content relying on the nucleus of players they now have on board. In fact, with Holt seemingly in tow, the Pats don't have a glaring roster spot open as they enter the draft. The biggest issue with the Pats of late has been the health of Tom Brady. Should Brady be back to health this season the Pats will be a SB favourite. Two of the Pats most productive rookies last year (Edelman and Pryor) were late round (6th and 7th) finds and let's not forget that another late round find of the Pats (7th rounder Matt Cassel) netted them a high 2nd round pick this year. So I'm not sure they can't find any late round gems. At any rate, back the original point. The addition of Holt is to replace Aiken at WR. Not sure how anyone would not see this as a huge upgrade.
  3. Holt is a monumental upgrade over Aiken, the guy he'll be replacing in the lineup. Not sure why this seems desperate? Belichick's offseason this year fits his MO while in NE which is to sign veterans to fill specific roles while adding youth via the draft.
  4. Not really the same type of signing. For starters, Holt is much younger than Galloway and has only missed 3 games his entire career. Second, Galloway came in believing he was going to run go routes all day like he had been doing all of his career. The Pats asked Galloway to run slants and crosses, digs and glance routes which Galloway couldn't, or more likely didn't want, to do. Holt, OTOH, has made an all pro career out of running slants, digs, crosses and glance routes so he'll be able to step right in and be comfortable with his job description. Essentially, Holt is replacing Sam Aiken in the lineup. Aiken is an excellent ST's player but shouldn't be seeing many reps as a WR.
  5. The idiocy @ One Bills Drive will not stop until proper football people are put in place to run the organization. Should have known the second Nix was hired that clueless decisions on staff would soon follow. Well, this is the start of future futility.
  6. Geez, what a dick you are. Parents must be proud!
  7. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Bills hired on a guy (Shanahan) who was tied-in to the cheating (salary cap) ways of the Broncos during those tainted SB wins? What would all of those * folks who forever denounce the "cheating" Patriots do to rationalize such a hiring? My guess is turn a blind, hypocritical eye.
  8. It doesn't matter what Belichick did his haters would be out to get him regardless. If he punted then the same haters would be saying that he disrespected his QB by not trusting this future HOF is good enough to get a lousy 2 yards to seal the deal. Bottom line is Belichick looked to seal the deal by handing the ball to his HOF QB who was on fire in the game. Can't argue with such logic!
  9. BB coaches to win and he figured his passing offense was the ticket to that win. Can't say I blame him for the Pats passing offense dominated the Colts all game. I'm sure he figured it would continue. And it probably did save for a crappy spot on that 4th down play.
  10. I'd like to express myself by running around nude outside in the summertime but I can't because there are rules against that. If the kid wishes to express his love for his football team then find a different way to do it. Wear Bengals PJ's to bed, start up a Bengals blog, tattoo a picture of Carson Palmer on your dick. The bigger issue to me is the stupid parents who are encouraging their son to break the established rule.
  11. Reading the article it appears as though the school has rules that prohibit such haircuts. The kid isn't in compliance with the rules so should be suspended. Not sure what the fuss is all about? Furthermore, the parents are a$$e$ for encouraging their kid to break the rules. I wonder if they give the kid the same freedom at home if he breaks their rules? Not likely!
  12. Indy ran Edge to death so I'm not so sure you can draw the comparison you did. Stokely ..... if you wish to nit pick a few of the names out that's fine. Regardless, Manning has had far superior talent complementing him throughout his career than Brady. When Brady was given similar talent to Manning Brady set NFL records passing the ball. Sure, if Manning also has Harrison, Wayne, Clark, etc then he'd win with a top defense. Most any QB would! But give Manning the far inferior offensive skill players that Brady had when he was winning and I'm not so sure that defense could overcome the inevitable choke job that Manning would produce come playoff time.
  13. Brady's 50 TD season proves my point of what the guy can do if given talent to work with. Manning has always had such surrounding talent on offense to aid him.
  14. Huh, when Brady was winning those SB's he had street free agents and retreads helping him out on offense. Meanwhile, much of Manning's career in Indy, he's been blessed with perhaps the greatest group of complementary talent (Harrison, Wayne, Stokley, Edge, Clark, Glenn, Saturday) in the game. I could only imagine the winning Brady would do if he was surrounded by the amount of talent Manning has had all of these years.
  15. Of course you did ..... you're as jealous as he is.
  16. Perhaps you just started watching the NFL or you haven't been paying proper attention but both the "Brady" rule and "tuck" rule were in place long before those specific plays singled them out.
  17. At least Millen can speak the English language in such a way that I can understand what he's saying. Can't say the same for Sharpe who speaks some form of language I have never heard before. I swear I don't make out 1/2 of what Sharpe verbalizes.
  18. Nothing more than jealousy out of Joey's mouth. I would be too if the Pats kicked the team I played for out of the playoffs in the AFCCG twice. As for illegally videotaping (spygate), the irony is that Joey's HC at the time of spygate, Bill Cower, is one of the coaches who has come out publicly and said that every team does it.
  19. Not only does Mangini suck as a HC he isn't even that good as a DC (Belechick took away Manginis DC duties halfway through the '05 season). What's more the guy is a rat who thinks of only himself and of no one else meaning he's doomed to failure wherever he goes because no one will trust the guy. Once he gets canned in Cleveland no NFL GM will touch the clown and he'll toil down in the college ranks somewhere if lucky.
  20. Serves them right for letting the HC pick the GM. After sucking because of such stupidity they now are faced with installing new management halfway into the season and will end up seeing that new GM fire the HC after the season in order that the GM may bring in the guy he wants to be the HC. If this sounds bass ackwards, it's because it is.
  21. Rumours are just that. Galloway's enroute to sign with the Chiefs.
  22. Not roids but HGH for sure. Easy to get caught with roids. Not so easy to get caught on HGH.
  23. Who said anything about making Thomas play better? The example is meant for the other Pats players who might question the Pats way.
  24. Galloway has been inactive for the last 3 games. I highly doubt he is re-signed. Edelman is coming along rapidly as the 3rd wideout.
