  1. Like Brady cares what a bunch of message board fans say about how he looks.

  3. I would extend this to battling health in general. Unfortunately, our medical profession seems to start after the fact and not before it. If only more in the field practiced preventative health measures.
  4. True, the Bills can pick their poison ...... die because Brady picks apart Spikes in coverage or die when Brady exploits another part of the field that is weakened due to a guy having to go help Spikes out. Now granted, not all QB's will be good enough to take advantage of this but ..... Brady is the master at matchup recognition. Heck, that's been the primary strength of a Brady led offense throughout all of his career.
  5. Brady is the master of matchup mismatches. If Spikes is on the field you can bet that Brady will be in no huddle and will spread the Bills out forcing the matchup he wants on Spikes eventually rendering Spikes to the bench.
  6. If Spikes is on the field the Pats will go spread and scheme him into coverage to take advantage of his inept coverage skills
  7. If that means Brady looking at the Pats player running free and clear of Spikes in coverage, then yes.
  8. 1. Broncos 2. Pats ..... then flip a coin.
  9. But Kiko can't cover his man and the guy Brady isolates on Spikes at the same time.
  10. Others are saying that the addition of Williams now precludes them taking of a top WR like Evans. I don't see that as so. Not only is Williams not anywhere near the same calibre of player that Evans is (or is capable of becoming) but there is no guarantee that Williams will be a Bill beyond this season, or even this season itself. If Evans is there for the taking I'm sure he'll be very highly considered.
  11. One year rental of a guy who can actually play decently well but who has character issues. If he stays clean and plays well the Bills get to choose to keep him at his current salary or to re-negotiate it for a more cap friendly one. I don't see much wrong with this addition.
  12. Indeed, medical and physicals will be done but, in the end, he may well pass a physical but be severely limited when in battle out on the field.
  13. The issue with signing Wilfork (should he become available) is no one will know how healthy he is until he steps onto the field. If that ever happens even. The guy is re-habbing a serious Achilles tear as a 340#, soon to be 33 year NG. His days as an effective NFL player might well be over.
  14. \You make it sound as though the Pats are the only team that ditches players for new ones. All teams do the same! If the Pats treated their players like crap, as you say, why is it that so many former players have such high regard for their time spent there?
  15. If Stevie's head is in the game, it'll be a heck of a battle. He sure has the skillset to win the matchup against Revis, even a Revis who one would expect to be playing light's out as he chases a new contract.
  16. I suppose it depends on how the design is done. Certainly, in the case of the Broncos, one would think that Belicheck has to be feeling pretty good about being able to stick Revis m2m on D Thomas, Browner m2m on J Thomas and Dennard m2m on Welker. Will this matchup also be advantageous against other teams? I would think so. It'll be much more difficult with Wilfork not likely being there, or healthy enough. Pats need another DT and to stay healthy on the DL. It'll help to have Mayo back and Hightower another year experienced and playing his right LB spot all season long. It bears watching for sure.
  17. Didn't realize Joey was Brandon's father. Thanks for that info. So, Revis will generally be locking down the oppositions best wideout and Browner's got the size, and skill set to perform effectively at multiple spots (CB, SS cover LB) ..... I can only imagine what schemes and tactics Belicheck will come up with.
  18. I agree, for a team like the Bills that is in re-build mode, doing so via FA doesn't work. But, for teams like the Pats and Broncos, adding top tiered FA's to fill select spots, is ideal. A guy like Browner could end up playing SS mostly for the Pats. Or, CB. Or, cover LB. He's the kind of versatile player BB loves.
  19. I didn't follow the Bucs at all so can't comment as you apparently can but, from all accounts, Revis was believed to have been back to himself by years end. If so, that's a HOF corner manning a defense being implemented by possibly the greatest scheme devising HC ever.
  20. Revis was cut before signing with the Pats and so doesn't factor into the compensation equation.
  21. Nick Underhill ‏@Nick_Underhill 1m Revis since 2010: 56 games, 223 targets, 100 receptions allowed for 1,334 yards. Nick Underhill ‏@Nick_Underhill 2m Talib since 2010 (via @PFF): 56 games, 265 targets, 156 receptions allowed for 2,422 yards. Basically BB traded Revis for Talib + (the 3rd round comp pick the Pats will get for losing Talib to FA). In Talib the Pats had a pro bowl player. In Revis the Pats have a HOF player.
  22. https://twitter.com/...197084913901569 Revis is who BB wanted all along. And why not .... the guy tilts 1/2 of the field each game.
  23. .... who only counts $800k against the cap.
  24. Brady may have had the worst receiver options at his disposal of any QB who ever directed a playoff team ever. If he had weapons, like Manning has, we'd likely be talking about Brady producing at a clip never before seen in the league. As for Pats declining, keep in mind that they were the 2nd youngest team in the NFL this season and they won 12 games after suffering through unexpected player loses that would cripple any other team in the league. The time will come when Brady is too old to produce at a GOAT level but expect elite play from him for a few more years at least.
