  1. Belichick had the bst response on this play.
  2. Ummmm, the Pats refused to kneel out the game because the Lions were still playing it out (ie calling TO's and taking 15 yard personal foul penalties) in the immediate plays leading up to the TD run.
  3. The Lions were still playing (ie calling time-outs) and, in fact, took a 15 yard personal foul penalty, on the previous play. if they are still playing and not relinquishing, then why should the Pats? As for Raiola .... I betcha the pansy wouldn't have done that to Wilfork or Branch?
  4. You mean like when Belichick cut Milloy who then signed with the Bills and who helped them wallop the Pats shortly thereafter?
  5. Beckham has crazy skills and not just his hands. Big play ability, speed, quickness and an insane ability to cut on a dime. If he keeps his head on straight, he's gonna be a monumental terror .... even with the dork tossing him balls.
  6. All I see is an author who is likely a fan of The X-Files.
  7. This year the Pats have a shut down defense, comprised of what may well be the best secondary in the NFL - in what is a passing league - which gives a defensive mastermind like Belichick the players to play chess when most are playing checkers. Then you add in a master like Brady and a healthy Gronk and a suddenly excellent OL, and you see what has happened these last few weeks; a Pats offense that is a chameleon and which morph's into something new each game. I pity the DC who has to gameplan for such an offense.
  8. Belichick has dominated in an era where the salary cap is meant for parity amongst the league. Though we'll never know how the other HC's mentioned in the same breath as Belichick would have done with such a significant restriction, I think most anyone who views this with any sense of objectivity, will see why Belichick is already viewed as the best ever by many. A bunch more wins and it'll be a no brainer.
  9. Just goes to show that anyone, with or without a brain, can become a football analyst in today's world.
  10. Clean house? Possibly but, outside of the DL, most everyone in here overrated this team's talent and coaching.
  11. When the field shrinks, like in the RZ, is where you find out how good your skill players and play callers are.
  12. That was a horrible display of lacking the most basic of fundamentals. Almost inexcusable for a 9th year vet.
  13. I can see a FG fest type of game in this one. Say 12-9
  14. I only time I would choose Peyton over Brady is come pizza commercial time.
  15. ........................ Brady has played well enough to win 5 super bowls. Manning, just one. Brady has been one defensive stop away from victory in his two SB losses. Manning, OTOH, got blown out in 1 SB loss and threw a game sealing pick-6 in the other.
  16. I'm sure the stats would be still be largely in Brady;s favour if adjusted. Some people are not into objective stats and would rather look at things with subjective biases in place. That's fine, the world needs both types. Are you implying that Manning's coaches are responsible for him consistently crapping the bed when the chips are down?
  17. Don't let your hatred for the Pats and Brady influence your judgement. Read the posted article.
  18. it was a lucky day for Peyton. http://www.coldhardf...-manning/31873/
  19. There seems to always be something, or someone, to blame for Manning crapping the bed when playing against Brady. It's beyond the point of ridiculousness. For years it was that Manning never had the defensive talent that Brady had. For much of that time it was probably true because much of the sal cap money went towards equipping Manning with studs galore on offense to help him set passing records. However, this offseason the Broncos went "all-in" and opened up the cash vault and added a plethora of talent to their defense in an effort to equip Manning even more ammunition to go out and beat Brady. Well, so much for that excuse I suppose. At some point, people need to stop with the excuses and recognize this for what it is ..... Brady is clearly the superior QB.
  20. Can it get anymore clearer than it is now? The difference is, when times get tough and the pressure mounts, Manning is a dud while Brady is the polar opposite.
  21. Manning is awesome when everything is going his way (the weather, no pressure, great weapons at his disposal). When he doesn't have these, he's not so awesome. Brady, OTOH, has proven time and time again, that he is awesome no matter the conditions facing him. That's what separates the two.
  22. Brady vs Manning
  23. Not sure why anyone is surprised at this result! A skilled surgeon everywhere but, at home, Brady is money. Imagine if he had viable receivers at his disposal like Peyton has?
  24. So, the two fought and the guy who won is the only one to get charged?
